For such a high rating, the first page of reviews are EXTREMELY polarized. I wish there was a way to know if people voted 5 just because they got their rocks off (lets all be honest, we all have done it for 1 star material), and if the 1 star people just didn't want to put in the time TO get their rocks off.
Though, I do laugh at the reviews that people say "THIS IS THE BEST STORY I HAVE EVER SEEN" and its like, an "average" dude wakes up and gets stampeded on like Mufasa because he is the "demon lord" and his harem needs jizz to survive or something and that's the plot.

I find that its a decent game. Is it one of the best games? No, but that said its interesting in its own way as I have never seen an adult base building RPG style game with decent images and with this much effort put in. It is interesting for reasons outside of adult content with the various builds you can try. Some being more fun and challenging than others. I think its something that has some decent charm to it especially if its one of your first times playing through it.
game seems decent, I will come back to try it out once all LI have their epilogue scenes and most scenes are animated. The art looks very hot but whether it's worth spending money depends on how erotic it was written and executed.
But judging from the number of scenes and overall feel, at least it already seems leagues apart from your usual AI slop. Can't call it that I suppose.

Did you change the text size? The game doesn't play well with bigger text unfortunately, too much UI specific screen code where everything needs to stay pixel perfect. Try reducing the text size back to normal and the choice menu should be visible again.

It's completed in the sense that the main story is playable from beginning to end, but large updates and content will keep on coming

What exactly is the secret ending? i dont seem to find it in the game files, only the two endings
