Not only is the fixed cost of the hardware a factor, but the electric bill, the effort to establish the needed workflow, the time reviewing and revising outputs. It may be cheaper and easier than traditional modeling and animation, but there is still a cost, and a lot of effort put into it. Asking for donations for bonus content is completely reasonable.
Great game, definitely shows AI isn't all slop like many claim it to be.
I've used stable diffusion before but it was all for non-NSFW related stuff and only images.
Mr.Dev of the game, do you have any resources to share for us for if someone wanted to make their own AI porn? What GPU are you using and how did you train the model? You mentioned it's all done locally? I'd definitely sub to the patreon if you had a short guide on there on how to get started with making these types of images/videos.

Just look up those terms, it's not that crazy. Plenty of guides out there. Also what training model? No one here is training their own model or anything, just using already existing ones that are publicly available unless you meant fine tuning with lora etc.Nope, it's all local with Wan 2.2 and ComfyuiLike with most things, corporations suck and open source is the only way to go.

So far... This game is a bit of a struggle for me. Several of the reviews talk about the amazing story, the dev is hawking their new book at the launch of the game, etc.
And the writing just isn't very good. Maybe it gets better later in the game, but the early game writing is repetitive and bland.

I don't know who's saying the story is amazing, but I'd say the plot is mediocre, predictable, and dull. At least the character interactions were well done I think. I can't say anything about the writing unfortunately as I no longer remember it in much detail but I don't remember it being bad at least. Overall it's decent, might be considered good at best. (Not talking about the whole game, just the story)
Having gone through the game, I personally have no interest to even checkout the name of the book the author is advertising in the main menu, as I don't expect anything worth the time.
Can't say anything on that as I've no idea how early in you are. Maybe you can play a bit more to see for yourself. You could also cheat (with URM or manually with renpy console) the grindy stuff if you just want the story.
