I know it isn't very exciting for a lot of you, but the official soundtrack released today. It has a couple of unreleased tracks and revised versions for some other tracks. And it's all in a much better quality than the rips I'd been doing to this point! I've added the "Act 1" soundtrack to the MEGA for those that are interested.

The album art is also in the "Extras" folder, but I'll put it here as well.

I don't want to be a spoilsport... but this game has been in pre-release for five years.
And it's still 0.20.
Obviously making games take a lot of effort and time... but isn't 5 years a bit too much time?
Is this secretly an AAA project?
Was EA involved?

Cool thing they didn't give a f about crappy control scheme, or about huge gap in difficulty between normal fight and boss fight.
Instead they are adding new boss attack to further boost him. Bravo! How about adding a few oneshot attacks then?
I can understand they are furiously fapping to dark souls, but why the f sexy platformer should have anything THAT hardcore?
Are they nuts or smthg? So how about changing game to hardmode? I mean, 1 death = new save? Or even better! One death - and the game delete itself and send a shitpic to devs. F**king clowns. That's exactly why I dont fund that shit anymore - zero undestanding of what audience wants.

BTW, that "acquired by Patreon! " is a good one. But "Patreon buys out greediest devs" is more realistic given the latest trends)

How did we go from Red saying the goal was to have Bates finished by early March in Dev Preview #28 to having a new build in April consisting of a new NPC, 1 attack for Bates, and no ETA for his animations? :confused:

God this game just makes me really sad lmao
It's so good and the quality is amazing and we were getting good content left right and centre early on but the devs just don't care about implementing anything that matters anymore. It's safe to say nobody really cares for the friendly NPCs strewn around because there's no gameplay to interacting with them, it's just porn; if players wanted just porn, they'd simply watch porn.

Folks play this game because it's a porn game. It just sucks the devs love money yet hate earning it.

So real, they're getting so lazy with this game
I have no idea where the npcs come from but from what I've seen, most of them are ocs, so I can only assume they have some sort of deal going around, like they get money and people are just happy to throw bucks at them to have their character in the game. And NPCs are like the perfect way for them to get money because they don't actually have to design the characters or give them attacks or stuff, it's basically enemies with like 80% less content. Such a shame, why does every good porn game suffer the same destiny? Either they get abandoned or the devs start pulling some yanderev tier stuff and keep sucking on that patreon money without ever actually adding anything to their game

being a pirate is free. but yeah they gave up with this game and occasionally add an NPC in a random place for you to backtrack and find.

The game basically suffered an usual case of "Patreon-itis".

They had a really good idea, their Patreon started to get really successful and profitable, they treat their patrons and friends with adding their OCs ingame and once they have a loyal base of supporters they start getting lazy, adding less and less each update since less work means still getting the same money.

A bit of generalization, but it's what usually what happens with this kind of projects sadly. Devs either become lazy and barely work or they live in their exclusive Patreon discord with all their patrons and friends. Or in the worst case scenario, both, living in a toxic bubble of praise and support where nothing you do or you don't do is wrong or bad.

I fear the success of their Patreon lead to them getting comfy. Way too comfy. Before an update could take some time, but you had decent content, like a new area with new enemies. Now we get the dojo in bits that take years apart and let's not talk about Bates. Telltale Games delivered faster chapters than we get Bates updates.
