Gotta be honest, I do not think this update was particularly good. The massage scene with Clara was good and the rest was average, except the VR segment, which was quite bad. In games like Eternum, Stray Incubus, or Stormside, mini-game sections have an actual contextual reason for being in the game, they feed into the LI's stories and/or overall narrative naturally in the flow of the game. The VR segment in this game comes completely out of nowhere with no context, build-up, or intrigue. There is nothing compelling about it at all, there's no reason for the player to care about it. It's also apparent from the lack of content outside of the VR segment that a lot of time and effort was put into it, but unfortunately that time was largely wasted.

I still think this game is quite good, and I'm looking forward to what's next.

Try deleting the /game/cache folder content, this solved the problem for me

Guys, as for passing the asylum, after finding the clue you can either go outside where you will be grabbed by the black-haired girl or climb to the top of the stairs (the barrels will no longer block the passage). In the attic you'll find a key that you can use to open the door to the basement go downstairs and you'll meet the white-haired girl and then there's a cut scene.
Honestly, I don't know which path will give more progression in the future but it seemed to me that going down to the basement is more right.

P.S. Am I the only one who thinks the new Olivia has become kind of ordinary and not cute?

Just tried this out. Not too bad other than a bunch of errors in the free roam section. I'm getting vibes like I am playing several games I have played already rather than something unique. But I will keep an eye on this. Best of luck to the dev.

Well this title was great up until I reached the quick time and puzzle content. Sure it's fine for some players who like mini games, but to penalize the players who really hate them...is very disappointing.

The first one was bearable, but the second search around puzzle is where I then lost interest in continuing playing this interesting story.

Anyways, good luck with your future endeavor dev...and I hope at some point the penalty imposed on players who dislike QT or puzzles is changed.

Well, I got to the point where they made you choose between several cards, and when you chose one and tried to go back to see what was on the others, it said something about cheating. It pissed me off and I closed the game.

Hm, not a particular good update imo.
The only scene i liked was with Clara and that scene got of course interrupted
Not much else interesting in this update, also large part of the update spend on the VR part...which just feels entirely pointless.
Comes out of the blue, doesn't really fit with the rest, MC risking his life why ? He really has no reason to do that.
Can't say adding minigames and freeroam is something i'm looking forward to...

Olivia still doesn't look nearly as good as in the first version...can't say i'm really interested in Lucia as LI either...really hope LIly will not be an LI, so annoying.
So far the only LI i like is Clara.

Yeah, that sort of content is usually a dealbreaker for me. Was really loving the game, but adding free roam/puzzles/minigames/sandbox elements is just a way to waste players' time. It only serves to increase playtime disproportionately to the amount of actual content added. Hopefully dev sees the light and goes back to pure VN format. Until that happens, gonna have to walk away from this game.

I know that not many players enjoy play minigames within the game.
That's why don't fret! I will have the option to skip the entire mechanic and roll with the storyline!

It's really helpful the skip option. And I'm 100 percent sure most players used this button
I thought I entered the wrong thread because there is no mention of point and click in genre or in the planned tags.
Most players don't like free-roam/puzzle/sandbox/point and click etc,..
It would be fine if it looked like the two imagebuttons that appeared earlier.
But this feels too much grinding.
