Then there is games I play for the story (like this one), I don't care if there is a new sex scene or not as long as I see progression in the relationship with my chosen LI or LIs. As long as I can see the relationship moving forward then I will be happy.

for me a story can be shit but if I like a character or relationship building alot it's enough for me that I can even consider it a favorite of mine. given how the last 2 updates ended counting this one. Unless the next one is a longer one id be surprised if she is even in the next given the context of what's going on in the story right now. But I could be wrong but didn't really come as a surprise to me she wasn't in this one given on the last one ended and what was being set up with Vania. I was just following Zoe's path and out of nowhere Vania changes and Zoe follows her leaving everything behind and basically telling the MC either you come along or fuck you, after that I was forced to start a new one I play and I'm going to get as many women as possible, Zoe is no longer my priority, just as I wasn't hers.
