I have more than passing acquaintance with the issues you cover, through work or family & friends. She's a 12 year old kid with severe mental health problems.
Any sexual content with her would be weird as fuck and, given the layout of the story, really rapey.

But you are aware about the following two things?:
1) There are people that are into "rapey"
2) "Rapey" isn't a problem on this site
Of course, it is problematic that she is 12, but the dev could just change that.
It's not an opinion, but a fact, that the dev uses the loli theme to pull players to his game - you don't need to make a young girl the center of the cover of your adult game and you also don't need to provide example renders that make your players assume fitting content. Even while playing, building "loyality" and "control" stats with the girl make you feel like this would lead to something erotic.
It's an adult game, don't hightlight what you don't intent to give. The current approach feels quite dishonest.
I understand that you don't like specific themes, however, other people do.

She is the main part of the story but not part of the sexual content. He can't change anything about her because the story is pretty much about her and what happened to her.
It's not a matter of whether I like something or not or whether other people do, the dev has said what is what and that's it.....
I've just gone through her scenes again and nothing, not a single thing, has any hint towards erotic content.
She's barely in reality and the way the MC acts is a massive indicator nothing would happen with her.

Having battled mental illness most of my life. This game is really tough the little girl and this is so sweet and so conflicted
And she's not the only one battling mental scars in this game. If you can stomach it this is a good look into mental illness and the treatments to it. I want to thank the author for bringing this to light. Even though this will be a tough game for me to finish I'm going to try.

Wow, this one is cute and sad at the same time. Angie wingman-ing is just too adorable.
But at the same time the theme is rather dark.
A very serious topic and a grown up man as the main protagonist. Rather unqiue AVN thus far.

Man, that crowd sure is pushy and entitled. Got into a fight on another game's thread because I complimented how the dev wrote alternate versions of the story so that those of us that didn't want the incest content could play it too. To them, the mere existence of the alternate version (despite it being by the dev and fully integrated into the storytelling) wasn't the rEaL sToRy and was censorship blah blah etc etc.
And now they're saying that the presence of a character in a title screen is leading people on. Ok buddy. Nothing to see here, read the tags, keep walking.

After trying the game you indeed understand why she can't be a LI even in an erotic game. Not even just because it wouldn't be "moral", but that's just not the particular story the dev is trying to tell. And his games are story driven.
Yet, I kinda understand the disappointement of some people seeing the first page, because that image really highlights her model and she looks good in it. We're in a porn site after all. The game itself shouldn't change of course, but in the first post maybe some of the other characters are too much in the background, it confuses some newcomers about what to expect until they see the tags.
Anyway, so far the game is great.

I feel that it is no use that we discuss this any further.
We are apparently not on the same page regarding quite universal topics regarding e.g. the nature or reasonable expectations regarding adult erotic games, but this is okay - I see that we joined at roughly the same time and you probably also played hundreds of games here - you simply have your preferences and expectations and I have mine.
