I do think going into full OC mode was too early and risky, especially without using any of the old known characters in completely different universe. But let's see how it goes, didn't play the new game yet, will try it out today.
This game was definitely best on the market for me subjectively, but objectively it's also high on top, introducing quite a lot of porn content with pretty linear nongrindy straightforward gameplay, while still writing a good quality story and amazing characters. At the same time showing known characters as parody which is also appealing

I did play it right now and honestly it wasn't worth it.
I get it, while it has it's good amount of bugs and poor design choices the quality is good enough, but there is literally no content. And that's what presumably ruined opt chapter 2, like omg as someone on f95 already said the dev could just stick to opt 1 and keep adding new space to play in, new characters and story continuity everything would be great.
The direction it's going to is less of a porn game and more of a... let's be honest, quite low quality gameplay? The gameplay is good enough for porn game I guess, but the "porn DLC" now really feels like just some unneeded DLC rather then part of the game, not to say a main focus.
I will definitely watch for updates on new game, but my faith in dev is dropping little by little...

Yeah, I did expect this reaction form you, while the card game was pretty good, the rest of the content is just not there, it was basically go beat this one 3 times, and then this one 3 times, and bam first update done, and the porn content is barely there. But I have faith in the dev, now that all the focus is on L&C, and yes, i am a bit biased, so take my word with a grain of salt.
While you guys are having fun with the parody vs oc discussion i have a doubt regarding the player character...is he the same in opt and l&c (possibly wywern crew? (If the dev worked on it according to my headcanon) )or they're seperate male characters who happened to find themselves being with same set of women? (And if he's the same character... how does that work? Since we're possibly human-like in opt (human in wywern) and minator in l&c)
So I haven't played wyvern crew so I can't say for sure, but in L&C we are a different PC as we see lycoris in one of the pics and we don't recognise her and then tennessee told us about her exs being emee and amandine and we still don't recognise the names, so I'm pretty sure that OPT and L&C have different PCs, and in terms of the time line, I have no idea, they also say in game that lycoris did work in the same place only a month before we started working, it could be months after our PC in OPT got teleported to god knows where or, the most likely days before the teleportation, as I think we will see our PC from OPT in L&C, but this is just a theory on my part, do with it what you will.
I mean it's a real shame the dev pivoted to his OCs instead of focusing on the Disney girls, considering yes the Disney girls were one of the main reasons many of us followed this and paid for Patreon in the first place. We love Disney girls, we grew up on them, they're hot, we want to fuck them. I wanted Disney girls. Many fans of this game wanted Disney girls.
And we all know the reason he did this. It's because he can only sell the game on Steam using his OCs. He can't do that with Disney girls. Completely selfish reason, and definitely not "oh I just wanted to create my own vision and world" which he never stated was the case.

I mean, yeah, but you can't forget about copyright issues, he did put OPT on steam but due to copyright issues he had to change the art of the characters and they might as will be OCs, and going in the direction of a game with OCs will be less of a hassle for him, and will be a great way to introduce more characters that could play a part in future OPT games.

Also Salty never had to say that he wanted to explore the world or characters more. It’s obvious with the fact that…that’s what he’s doing. In his games.
I guess they could've strike a balance with the princess (disney/oc ifed) and the ocs...like how he did with opt 1 where we had 3 princes (4 being Rapunzel) with his ocs of emme and meli (and technically tinker and other one of patreon characters) and when it came to opt 2 the only princess we got is Jasmine (with the actual jasmine as patreon reward) and focused more on the ocs... which was slightly disappointing but with the rushed ending and (cutting an unknown character) it wasted it's potential...but in the case of l&c I guess it'll be in the oc territory or may have some princess as well (like perhaps the inspiration/muse or model for the androids or something) to maintain its oc territory
ah yeah because just making a game with OC's from the beginning instead of luring people to pay for a patreon using Disney girls wasn't an option. FOH

It does look interesting, but the art is a bit bland? But I'll give it a fair trial before judging from the art style. Thanks for the suggestion asethm.
I honestly don't mind the OCs, the only complaints I have are that there is only one returning Disney Character from Chapter 1 in Chapter 2, and only for a short bit; that the brothel quest is offscreen mostly with little interaction with the people of Agrabah; the lack of the Jasmine reward in the Patreon (non-Steam) version due to the author forgetting to fix it; and the Android version crashing to the home screen when going through the brothel orgy scene epilogue.
Alright so the steam version of chapter 2 is bugged, its missing several images for key story scenes (you can skip through thanks to ren py, but that defeats the point, if most players are finding a glaring bug in the main story line, thats terrible), is this the patreon version? I heard it has some of the images
