If I didn't played ETERNUM, I should have never played this gaame. I'm glad I played ETERNUM then played this. Damn this a master piece. That's why this a top rated game in this site.

If you are looking for harem, humor, mystery, slight horror, Romance try this game. You won't regret it. Renders are not that good at the start. But it's not worse. But you can see render quality is increasing through out the game. Dev really put a lot of creating this game. Thank you @Caribdis for creating this Masterpiece.

Amazing game, I can't believe I hadn't seen it before. It's the complete package, good animations, cute girls, minimal spelling errors, interesting story, impregnation , quality renders, but what surprised me the most was the HUMOR! This is actually the first time a VN made me laugh so many times, I couldn't believe it. This made the characters far more endearing and likeable than what I would normally expect. Thank you for sharing this!

The only thing I was bummed about was the fact that I messed up Lauren's path...

Romantic Comedy Adventure: The Complete Package

I recently played Caribdis's latest work Eternum. Initially, I was just messing around, reading while multitasking. After a little bit, I sat up and put my full focus onto Eternum. I finished the first episode and immediately started reading Once in a Lifetime and finished it within the span of a couple days. Caribdis is a fantastic writer - he has a good ear for words and understands pacing and variety, which makes playing his games such a joy.

Once in a Lifetime is part high school romantic comedy mainly focused on the step-sisters and you, but also involves a host of other girls. The other part of the story is a mystery adventure involving cults, conspiracies, and traveling the world.

Comedy is a huge part of the story, and thankfully it's done well. The vast majority of other games often delve too much into the cringey territory of humor, which is appealing for some audiences, but not for myself. Caribdis knows when to push and when to hold back - it becomes so easy to get lost and really get immersed into the world.

It's not perfect though. The side girl romances aren't quite fleshed out enough. The underlying story about Astaroth starts strong but ends up feeling a little weak. Similarly, with the lewd scenes the best scenes are in the beginning when the characters still had this apprehensive tension. With this type of story, I feel the nature of lewd scenes in the later portion of the story should have the characters become even crazier and naughtier as they feel more comfortable with each other. While this is the trend, it doesn't feel like it was completely capitalized on.

I'm giving this a 5/5 because despite the flaws, there is no denying that this is such a complete package. You're going to get a bit of everything and everything is very well done. I would liken this to receiving a gold Rolex that's not quite the shade of gold you wanted, but hell, it's a fucking gold Rolex, and you can't deny you're happy with it. Caribdis obviously worked hard to be this skilled at writing and should be one of the developers you should watch updates from.

Really fantastic game. Well written with some great humour, I don't think I've ever laughed playing an h-game before this. I was pulled in by the constant escalation and wild departures, I'm sure everyone who's played the game has fond memories of Stabby Mike. The girls cover a pretty broad selection of niches, and even those you aren't interested in at first might pull you in on account of the charming character writing.

Play it as soon as you can.

it's a shame there aren't more games with this level of quality. i have played one other, but it's not even finished yet. but that game and this one have single handedly raised my standards for porn with their stories, senses of humor, well done scenes and the cute ass girls.

Great game, great sex scenes and as a bonus had me legit laugh out loud a couple times! One of the rare games I played through to the end without losing interest. The animations and renders are good, fingers crossed the authors next game is just as good!

By far one of the best Japanese style character games in the genre, it has a huge amount of content with multiple girls, and there is even the possibility of a sequel, (though i doubt it will happen.) The only downside I have to it, is that the VN ends a little quickly, I wanted a more fleshed out ending.

A game that truly comes once in a lifetime v1.0

The game in question is formatted like a graphic novel and if you're going to fallow the story its definitely enjoyable. there's some sweet and funny moments for sure (most notably from Stabby Mike) but also spooky and sad moments (oddly enough also from Stabby Mike). Joking aside though the Overall story seemed well paced and lined up well with all the characters paths. As for said characters paths they were enjoyable and progressed in a way that made me want to continue "playing" to see more both story and H scenes.

Now if you're only here for the H scenes you'll find yourself working a little hard to get them. theres a couple puzzles and a bit of remembering to do but nothing too hard and mostly fun to do. Make the right choices, save often and remember there's a back button. Get to know a character is the name of the game and you'll find yourself well rewarded with some saucy scenes and even a little humor.

Overall an excellent experience i can recommend. Came for the two sisters, stayed for Stabby MIke.

Yup, this one is a classic now. Not just any classic, but one of the best harem games out there.

This definitely the best adventure harem story so far, and Caribdis is his own competitor with Eternum.

So, what the hell makes this game so great?

The writing and pacing.

Sure, the girls are all cute as hell, and the h-scenes are super fun and engaging, but god damn does that writing and pacing put what is essentially a bunch of stock looking HS assets and elevate it into the stratosphere.

The comedy and self-awareness is spot on. It's great seeing one note joke legitimately grow and evolve. It's has this constant ability to make you feel "oh damn, what just happened."

And yeah, the girls themselves all have great personalities. Each are wonderful and certainly add to the harem PLUS each of them bring a flavor to the H scenes and it's fantastic.

Shoutout to Stabby Mike. Best supporting character of all time.

Oh, and the music and sound selections are perfect. They add so much to the pacing of the game.

Once in a Lifetime is the staple of consistent well done planning. This game felt so damn well-packaged as a whole, I was convinced for a little bit that Caridbis just made it in one go.

It goes to show, that even if you don't have the greatest assets and models, you can still deliver A+ quality. It's not about what you have, just how you use it.

one of the best games i ever played 9.5/10, I hope your next game is gonna be as good as this one. Matching sex game with adventure/action game like this is awesome. I dont know why its not popular as being a dik.

For any prospective player, this is a fun, engaging story which does not disappoint. It is far more enduring than some of the VNs here which, unless saved by imagery and/or eroticism, are little more than dull and boring (no pun intended) porn.

This is intimate rather than erotic but I was hooked and played it over the course of a week (I do other stuff too!) from start to finish. In the final analysis (is that what I am doing, analysing? Nah, get real, this is a VN) The experience was fun and did not disappoint. Trust me, that is high praise in a genre where plot is frequently, unimaginative, formulaic and, frankly, soooo dull. Thumbs up!

At the time of writing this review, this is probably the best HS model game I've played. At first I thought it was going to be another formulaic harem game, but I was wrong. Everything about this game is perfect, from the graphics to the music to the story. I really liked the humorous scenes, they fit in very organically and appropriately. The story itself is very enjoyable and interesting. Without a bunch of ramifications, you don't lose the thread of the narrative and understand the essence of what's going on. The characters of all the characters are very well written and you believe in their actions and motivations. The sex scenes look good, except that I wanted a little more fetish, but overall I was still satisfied. I would love to erase my memory to play this game again =)

This was one of the best games i ever played . Thanks dude for this excellent story !! The wedding scene was amazing with the music and everything. The scenes that should be funny in a dark themed game, were perfect and every girl path was really unique and really really nice.

Story - was original enough in comparison to a lot of games out here. The pacing of it was nice and not once I felt like it was dragging on for too long. Same with dialogues, did not feel that any single dialogue dragged on for too long.

The only negative part being the ending for me. Not the ending itself but the execution of it. Whether it was rushed or planned like that, I would have still preferred at least some playable scenes with each character and then get the ending we got.

Humor - it was good. For a moment I had to doublecheck if this guy was also working on Solvalley. The humor felt similar and those are the only 2 games that have me laughing so hard I take a break from the game itself.

Characters - all lovable and luckily not 100% cliche, like how MC usually gets along with younger sister and then older one treats MC like trash. Was good to see something else for a change.

Scenes/renders/animations - all were good. Animations were good and smooth. Renders seemed to keep up in quality while in animations and the scenes were also enjoyable in length.

This game is fucking great! I'm not overly fond of games made using Honey Select, but this is the best looking one I've played. The characters are great, especially the two sisters (Lauren #1)! The lewd scenes are pretty good too, especially as the game goes on, the dev clearly improved in later chapters. The thing that really elevates this game and makes it a cut above in my book though is the humor. Not only did I find myself consistently cracking up while playing this game, I actually had to take small breaks to just laugh here and there. Seriously, it's funny. I really recommend playing with a walkthrough though. The game has a lot of choices and seemingly unimportant decisions can lock you out of relationship paths, deny you seemingly unrelated scenes and even cause game overs. I wouldn't really call that a flaw, more of a gamedesign decision, but it's one I don't really have time for.

for me it is the best game on this site, the two sisters are so cute, the scene when the pianist start playing "i'm blue" at the church made me laugh so much, also the suspense is really immersive. can't wait for the prologue, if you can please support dev's work

I enjoyed this game a little too much and completed all endings...
Ahem, right, starts off really slow for character development and goes onto romance once you get to know girls. Choices you make aren't all that impactful (except for Jack and Tom memory wipe part), but they DO matter, if you want romance and special scenes.

Overall, interesting story and romance element was amazing. 5/5 for me. Also hoping to see more updates, because "This is just the beginning...".
Meanwhile, going to check out Eternium.

Possibly the funniest game I've ever played. The humor is great, it's not cringe like 99% of games out there. There wasn't a single character I didn't like, all of them rock. The whole plot, however, is silly, but it was fun nonetheless. Great game, 5 stars.

This is one of the top-rated games for a reason. I don't really need to say much, its a great story, and great hscenes. Really don't need a whole lot more. Other reviews cover this game in great detail, so I don't feel the need to. Just wanna say that I fully recommend this VN.

Really enjoyed the game, definitely would recommend others to try it out. However story feels rushed. I feel like there could have been and SHOULD have been a lot more romance. Take the characters like Rebecca and Jasmine for example, most of the time it was just a good dicking which caused them to fall in love with the character, there should have been a lot more progression with them and more school scenes. Game was extremely entertaining with its humor side and I really hope there's a sequel to it.
