Funny enough, the author is actually Spanish. As for similar games, you could try Eternum. It's the next game the same dev is making, and if you liked this one you'll probably like that one. Finally, regarding supporting the dev, you have the Patreon link in the initial post of the thread.

I wish it was more the norm but sadly milking it for as long as possible is the safest route with pateron and stuff. Like there a lot of story I really like but its like god knows if they ever finish. A lot of it is also like I like only a part of it but then its like 3-5 games of ideas in one and you get tiny piece of each every update.
