I got an angry face from Dev a few weeks ago after they stated their game was 4 hours long. It was only 45 minutes but they made it to get all the LI's in a harem game you had to play the game 4 times over. They didn't like it when I said I would be bored with game by second playthrough.

Dev Update #64 (Progress)

Figured I couldn't go wrong with an image of Lydia smiling...

Ok, I know I said I wasn't gonna do a dev update until Wednesday. But, I'm doing it now because there are a few circumstances I want to discuss, and let you guys know when I anticipate the release date.

I'm making excellent progress on day two of the update, not gonna quote all the numbers or whatever, but they are good. However, and I don't know how to say this without it being embarrassing for both myself and the readers of this post, but...
Umm... you know those things that can make it hard to sit upright on an office chair for a long period of time? Well, I'm having a flare up of them right now. I even bought a special seat cushion, which is helping some, but my doc is recommending I stay out of my office chair for about a week to let them calm down (along with creams and soaking and other things you don't wanna know of about, oh wait I just told you, but if I can't make fun of myself...)

So yea, I got COVID then a few weeks after that hemorrhoids (for the first time in my life, could it have been from coughing so much, that's my theory but I can't be sure). You guys know me, full disclose on everything!

Anyway, if you're still reading this post, the update WILL be out in April as promised. If this had not happened and I wanted to kill myself I could have probably gotten it done by the middle, but it's likely gonna be around the last day of the month.
My plan over the next week, is to sit in my nice soft recliner, write a scene when I wake up on my laptop, then play some FFVII Rebirth for the rest of the day. It was killing me making myself not do that anyway. So, I figured I'd just get it out of the way while this is going on (I've said in the past what a FF nut I am, so that shouldn't be a surprise to anyone).

This way once I can sit comfortable and work at my PC again, I'll mostly just have to set up scenes and render them, then animate the one sex scene that happens on day two of the update. I may have to do a few rewrites because I'll be so far ahead with writing, but that shouldn't be a big deal, just something new for me. I mean, the whole thing is already outlined anyway and I don't anticipate adding more scenes than I already have planned (you never know though Lydia might get some crazy idea or whatever, but as I said, I don't anticipate it).

What can I say, life hasn't been a lot of fun lately, but ODAAT has taken my mind off of it a lot! TBH I don't know what I'd do without it. I'll check back in with you guys on March 27th. That's three weeks from when I was gonna write this update.

At that point I'll give you a firm release date. But, as stated, it's probably gonna be the end of April. Because, I'm going to wanna do as much polishing as I possibly can (ya'll know that's important to me) and then Shaddy and I will need to take time to test it, proof it, and all that stuff.

Anyway, that's where things stand. Unless something unforeseen happens Ch. 17 will be out in April. Even if I have to sit on razor blades to make it happen (Please God just let these things go away!).

P.S. - By the way, I know shit could be a lot worse and I'm grateful I have food and a roof over my head, but the last month has been really annoying and has sucked!

This game overcomes that debacle ... and the other one also ... by having the girls be supposed to suck it or take it for pot or crack or whatnot, while MC is supposed to steal or shoplift or whatnot ... to pay for his poison. This game assumes girls whore around for whatever they need at one time or another and their society provokes them to exchange sexual favors of all kinds for all they need in life or love.



Women selling their bodies was a main stream shtick of all history of mankind - even in the bible with Mary Magdalen or Gomorra or Joan the Baptist story of the daughter of the king promissing her pussy to get absolutely anything she wanted,
or the whole old testament of the brother taking the wives of his fallen brothers ... back to modern media where Game of thrones and House of the dragon mounts a hellish offensive about incest and rampant sex of the princess with the hired help, granted, falling in the footsteps of her uncle whoremonger ... Littlefinger running brothels and while Jamie and Cersei are loyal to eachother like crazy, Tyrion uses whores all the time then even considers marying one ... until she goes whoring around with his dad and he kills them both.

These are actual forefront media showcases of women being capable and apt at both man eating and loyalty, coupled with free sex with everybody.

No girls in this game suck it or take it for drugs of any kind. That just doesn't happen once in the game. No one sells their bodies either. Nor does the game assume girls whore around for drugs or anything else. Nor is it implied. There's absolutely nothing that even approaches NTR in my game. Please don't spread misinformation.

Unoffical Dev Update!

Biggest update ever... again? Audrey hopes so!

I'm looking at where I'm at now, and what I have left and what I have to go back and do (that's a lot of and's). But, when I do the math in my head, it just might be. I got a really fun idea for something I'm gonna tack on to the end of Ch. 17, and it could just put us over the edge! A lot of work left to do between now and then. But, we'll see!

Anyway! I'm just glad to be back in good health (fingers crossed it stays that way), and jamming out on this update! It feels really good. Thanks to all you guys for your public and private help through all that bullshit. They say you can't keep a good man down. I'm not so sure how good I am, but I hope it's good enough for the last part of that statement to be true! Cheers!

P.S. - I'll still give you guys a release date on the 27th as promised!

Dev Update #65 (Release Date)

Angie is looking a little loud for her in that outfit! Wonder what that's about...

Ok, I'm on the home stretch of development. I've got about 6-7 scenes left depending on how I split them up. There are no huge scenes left, which is good and all the animating is done. I actually got a nasty case of pink eye last week. So, I lost a few days work due to that. Nearly a week actually. I tried the whole eye patch deal, but it just wasn't working. Because, the eye watering so bad and had to take it off every two minutes to wipe my face. So, I decided to let nature run is course and not stare at a monitor.

What's this mean to you? Nothing, the update will still be out in April as promised (unless there are ridiculously unforeseen circumstances). What it means to me? It means I've had three shitty things happen back to back to back health wise. But, as my old man told me, bad things come in threes. So, if you're superstitious, that means I'm in for a good stretch (I'm not superstitious, but God I hope he's right)!
Anyway, moving on to what you are all reading this for (other than to look at beautiful Angie). One Day at a Time Ch. 17 will release on April 30th!

This will be the last dev update before the release, not because I don't wanna talk to you guys, but because I'm really gonna need to bust my ass these next few weeks, so I can get to polishing (which will have less time than I usually take, but Shaddy and I will make it work)!

ODAAT Ch. 17 Release info Update (Please read I'll try to make it short!)

Ok guys, at this point I'm not liking how much time I'm going to have to complete the second day of the update with enough time to polish everything how I want to.

So, one of two things are going to happen, and I'm not saying this is the way it will be going forward. But, for this update because of all the shit that's happened to me during it, I'm considering releasing it in two parts. Because I feel like I'm rushing, and I don't think either of us (me or my community) want me to skimp. It's not in my nature to do that anyway. I mean, I was even considering cutting a scene and I've never done that.
What will happen is I'm going to see where I'm at in a couple weeks from now and make my decision then. If I do release it in two parts Ch. 17 Part 1 (the first day of the update) will be released on April 30th as was the originally promised release date for the update. Then I would release Ch. 17 Part 2 (the second day of the update) some time in May. This is a compromise I feel comfortable with, if I don't feel I have the time to make both days how I want within the next couple of weeks.

Again this is not set in stone, I may be able to get both days to you by April 30th. But, I'm not confident in that at this point due to beta and quality concerns. As I've said before I spend a lot of time going back and making sure everything is exactly how I want it. Good news is the first day will probably (I have some stuff to add to a few scenes) be over 4000 lines of code which is bigger than my first two or three chapters I'm pretty sure. So, it will still be plenty of content, then you'll have the second day of the update to look forward to in the next month.

Ok, that wasn't super short, but I did my best. I just put some much love into this game and am protective of it's quality. I don't want to stop doing that for any reason whatsoever!

I did a poll and the high tier patrons actually said to go ahead and finish the whole update and release it in the first part of May, if I can't get it done by April 30th, since they'd be the only ones getting it on that day anyway. Without rehashing the whole thing here I'll give you the short version. It was going to be a pain in the ass to split up the content from the first day of the update and what is already in the second day which is the majority of it. Plus I'd have to take time to polish the first day, when I could just be polishing both days. There's an outside chance it still gets all done for both days in April, but I doubt it at this point. I just don't wanna rush it and it not be up to the quality I've come to expect from myself.
