Nah, this is a whip. I'll probably re-release S1 at some point with corrections I've already done to spelling and such. I thought about redoing some images, but there's just too many and what I'm doing now image wise would make it look weird unless I did all of them which would take probably 2 months of straight rendering, Not to mention setting the shots differently etc... So, no there won't be a revamp of this ever. But, I'll take all the knowledge I've learned about visuals into the next game with me. Which is cool.

I just tested positive for COVID

This is my first time having it and Dad brought it home to me. I thought he just had a cold, but not so lucky. I am also not vaccinated, at the recommendation or my Dr's due the the vaccine causing worsening neuropathy sometimes in people that already have it like me. So, I have almost all the symptoms (other than shortness of breath and chest tightness, knock on wood).

I'll do the dev update when I feel better. I will say this though. I'm on the first scene of the second day of the update. I wrote it yesterday before the fever started. But, I'm shutting it down until I feel better. I've got a telemedicine appointment with my doctor this afternoon. I'm not sure if she'll giver anything or not. Anyway not ideal or what I wanted. But, I did everything I could to prevent it.

I had my two shots in 2021 (I haven't had a refill after that, though), and I got COVID twice after that; in early summer '22, and just before this past Christmas. My experience was like a rougher and longer-lasting flu, but that was me. I hope your experience doesn't get much worse that that.

So far, again knock on wood. That's what I'm experiencing. At the moment I write this I think I'm a little better than I was yesterday. And I can also say, at this point again knock on wood. I have had flu's that were worse than this. So, hopefully you know it's just that long-lasting flu type thing. My doctor was very helpful when I talked to her, and pretty reassuring so that was nice to hear. Anyway I'm so fucking bored, that's why I came on here just to talk to you guys. I want to be working on the game so bad, but I can't concentrate for more than 5 minutes at a time really. I mean I can, but not on anything creative.

Hey everyone, just wanted you to know I've gotten a lot better and God bless the people who can go through COVID with a sniffle and no symptoms. That was not the case for me. But, as I said I am doing much better!

I'd say I'm at about 90-95% energy wise. So, I'm getting my legs back under me. Or as a good jazz horn player would say, my "air" back. I'll be returning to work on Wednesday the 21st and hitting it hard with the second day of Ch. 17 of One Day at a Time! I will also post the dev update of what I have so far from before I got sick then.

It was beautiful, I was really humming along and I was sure this was gonna be a late March release, but now that's not going to happen. Pretty sure we can do April though. But, I'll talk more about that in the dev update on Wednesday.

Thank you for all your support and encouragement through this time, and I hope if one of you hasn't gotten COVID yet it's really easy for you, it is for about half of people. But, I lost ten pounds (which I'm quickly putting back on now).

Anyway, talk to you guys on Wednesday when I'm back to work. I didn't wanna lump this post in with the dev update. So, I figured going with a separate one was, well, the way to go!

Dev Update #63 (Progress)

Shelly looks happy, I'm gonna guess she's on the phone with MC...

Ok, I know I said I'd do this on the 21st. But, I felt like doing it today, because I'm tired of sitting around and I wanted to share what I've got with you guys!

We are currently at 1402 renders, 2 animations with a total of 600 animation frames, and 3860 lines of code. But, I still have to write the dialogue for the two sex scenes on day one of the update. So, let's call it roughly 4100.

The first day of the update has been a really good time! There's not a bunch of big group scenes in this one like last update. There's a lot more one on one and one on two stuff with the girls, so it's a little more intimate. Although, the strip club has a lot of characters (that you don't know) besides Reggie. Because, well, I needed strippers! There's a bit of a twist to that scene, but I'll leave that for you to find out when you get to play the update.

Hmm... let's see, I don't really wanna give a lot more away about the first day, I'd rather you just experience it, but I will say if you have the points you'll certainly give Barb her other birthday present (not that that was a big mystery to anyone). There are some cool things with Shelly and then Lydia after (I actually think this is Shelly's first visit to the apartment). Then of course we catch up with some of the other girls too, but like I said I don't really wanna spoil that. The only reason I gave up the Shelly thing was because it says (Shellydatecall) on the image.

Then there's the build up to the strip club with Reggie, and that's about all I'm gonna say for day one, although there is much much more I could.

So, that's all I have for now. I'll check back in with you guys in three weeks this time I think. That'll be the 13th of March or 13/03/24 or 03/13/24 depending on where you live. This is for a few reasons. I will likely be able to give an initial release window at that point, and then a firm release date on the dev update after that. Another thing it will do is let me gauge where my energy is at. Which like I said shouldn't be a problem, because I'm about 95%, but without actually putting in a full days work I won't know exactly what it takes out of me. Although, you'll know me, I'll probably just push through no matter what! Anyway, I'm very glad to be back!

Anybody ever heard of the book Gravity's Rainbow by Thomas Pynchon? I was looking at it on my shelf the other day and it's been years since I've read it. However, it got me to thinking about something. When you pick that book up he expects you to be well read to understand all of it or go look things up, because he references other works of literature.

What it got me thinking about is the whole wah wah too many movie quotes thing. Now, I'm not comparing myself to him, because he just simply had some gifts I don't possess. But, it's sort of the same deal with the movie quotes. When I read his book I discovered about 5 more I ended up reading. I think other than just for flavor, that's what I'm also trying to do with the pop culture references in the game. And, I know someone might say "Yea, but in it a porn game?". My response to that would be "Why not?".

Everybody wants fast food media these days, but the problem with that IMHO, is it's not very rewarding.

Okay that makes sense. To be honest with you I think they need to take the facepalm reaction away completely. I think it's overused. People face Palm the OP to the game even. I guess leave it in the threads but take it off of other places. It does definitely do more harm than good. I'm not saying I've never used it.

They did take facepalm away from regular users ... don't know if Devs and modders and such still have it though. Facepalm was replaced with side-eyes.

Actually it was replaced by the angry, cursing one. I saw when it happened ones where I had it it got changed. Can still insert a pic of Picard or someone else facepalming.

I got an angry face from Dev a few weeks ago after they stated their game was 4 hours long. It was only 45 minutes but they made it to get all the LI's in a harem game you had to play the game 4 times over. They didn't like it when I said I would be bored with game by second playthrough.
