I can't guarantee that throughout the entirety of the game. It's just too much to make that happen to be honest with you. Lot of extra time that takes. Although I don't think they'll be a lot of instances where it'll be a factor.

It's funny you responded to that one, since it wasn't that long ago I got to a scene with a full-background reflection, and no characters not in front of the MC were reflected ^_^.

I've seen "behind the scenes" images where people remove whole sets behind the POV to reduce render issues. It never ACTUALLY bothers me, but that one stood out as obviously intentionally planned and really well staged ... so I guess it still took me out of the moment, but just in a different way.

Anyway, really enjoying the story. Just got to Melissa's beach house.

Gotta disagree with you on this one I love this hair on her. Plus her old hair was very hard to work with and over-used in a ton of games.

Then again I'm not a fan of half the games in your T1-T1a (I'll never say which ones), so take that for what it's worth.

Yeah, I know I said the 10th, but I had the time today so I figured I'd go ahead and do it now!
We are at 2367 lines of code, 582 renders, and 1 animation. I am threw the event/week I discussed in a previous post and into the game day proper. Lots of emotion going on in this one during the event/week, and some after. But, the week I talked about that happens at the beginning of the update is mostly MC taking care of what we learned about in the last line of the last update.

There's much more than just that, that's planned for this update however. I'm currently finishing the second scene of the day proper and have one more written. Not to mention the rest of it is outlined! So, as the numbers suggest there's been a lot accomplished so far! We're gonna have sort of a double date type thing, or MC hanging out with Barb and Sam at night. We're doing something with Shelly at lunch, and in the morning we're gonna finally have a chance to ask Paris out on a date! This date won't happen until Ch. 21 Pt. 2. But, the scene I have for how MC asks her is a lot of fun.

Uh... we'll at least talk to or spend some time with just about everyone in this update. So, there's much more than what I've said about it so far. But, I of course don't want to spoil things. Barb will mess with MC about what his punishment is going to be when you hang out with Barb and Sam at night. But, you won't actually get to see it until Ch. 21 Pt. 2. It's also not something you're going to expect either.

While there are a lot of things set up in this update, there are a lot of things that happen as well. So worry not, they'll be plenty of communication with the ladies and forward movement of the narrative. Also like I said this one is going to be long, just like the last update. Longer than a traditional day, because of the week MC is going to be dealing with what I described before.

Something else I need to make mention of or give a final warning on. At this point in the game, there's more significant amounts of dialogue you'll miss out on if you're not in a sexual relationship with a specific girl. Does this mean their scene will be gutted? Absolutely not! All characters are extremely important to the plot of One Day at a Time. There's just some bonus stuff you're gonna miss out on when they wanna tease or generally talk sexy to each other. But, the friendship stuff will never leave! Let's call this more an addition (even thought I've done it to some degree the whole game) than a subtraction.

Anyway, that's about it for now. I'll check back in with you guys in a few weeks!

I don't know how much clearer I could have made it that that will be the case. I just want the girls you're romantic with to be able to talk about sexual encounters when you're with them one on one. I've been doing it the whole game I'm just expanding it now, because at this point, you should either have been sexual with all of them, or know the ones you have been and be able to talk about it.

This is an example from Ch. 19. You won't get this if you're not in a threesome with them. I've just expanded these dialogues some now, because as I said you should either be with everyone or who you want to, and if you're not sexual with a girl she's still gonna flirt and stuff, but you're not going to get things like this or about how good she liked it form behind etc... So, whatever you don't see is either you choice or your fault for not electing to go with these options.

That's why I've maintained all along the Harem ending is going to be out of place for people who are not romancing everyone. But, that's just the way it's going to be. I can't do 1000 sex scenes to account for all scenarios where a girl might be absent due to someone not picking to be with them in the game. But, that will be the very last ending, so if you're not with all the girls you can treat it as a fantasy thing.

Thanks for the longer reply but I think my lack of clarity caused a misinterpretation. I was worried that characters were going to start to fracture off and leave at least until you mention friendships will be maintained.

I would have thought that the ending would be done montage style, that way you wouldn't need to do 2^n different endings.

There will be many endings and I've explained it all in this thread, and with the game being conversational and written more like a play there's no way I'd cheap out and do montage endings. I think that's lame when games do that. Sorry.
