why is it all the best looking games get abandoned lol..

I think the developer had some health issues (so there was some delay) and then some fans moved on, so he was not sure if it would be worth continue with this game.
But, yes, the game was very promissing initially and it is sad that it ended like that.
PS. It is probaby possible to revive it (I recently saw some of the 'abandoned' game returning back), so the developer can evaluate the situation and make a decision (if he still wants to develop games obviously).
