Kind of conflicted about the game. Like I like it, don't get me wrong, but I wish the Ex wasn't forced on me. I wish there was a route to straight up avoid her but she unfortunately seems integral to the plot which means she's gonna keep popping up.
Yeah, I totally get where you're coming from I’ve thought about this a lot. Ozul (the MC) has a really toxic, complicated relationship with his ex. It’s meant to feel like that kind of ex you keep going back to, even when you know you shouldn’t, even when you swear you’re done. That emotional messiness is a core part of his arc. I know she’s not for everyone, but her presence is meant to reflect that struggle he hasn’t let go of yet.

Keep in mind, I don't dislike the character or even the idea of the ex he can't shake, the issue is the implementation and the illusion of choice surrounding her. Its one thing if the character can't shake her, but its another if the universe seems to be conspiring against him and placing her in his way.

It's just a bit too heavy handed. There are options to avoid her that don't actually lead to you avoiding her (illusion of choice), or worse, misleading options surrounding her that have consequences later (the forced kissed scene). Her appearances in his life are also a bit too contrived. Like the furniture store he goes to is the one she works at, the clothing store is run by her twin sister, etc. It was just too much contrivance too close together.

Anyway that's just my take, that's all, I'm an advocate of devs just telling the story's they want to tell. Like you've said, there are a lot of things in this game that you know aren't for everyone and that just makes it more niche, nothing wrong with that. Everything else about the game has been decent so at worst I'll just hold the skip button when she pops up lol.

So it sounds like I’m doing exactly what I set out to do if you can’t stand her that’s the whole point. And hey, who’s to say he’s not showing up in those places on purpose? Maybe it’s not just coincidence. Maybe he wants her to see him, to get under her skin, to twist the knife a little and keep control of the situation. It might look like the universe is throwing them together, but maybe he’s not as innocent in all this as it seems.

It's very pleasing when a developer has a well-thought-out script, a rarity these days. You may disagree with him on some points, but a caring attitude towards the matter always commands respect. The main thing is that this attitude is maintained until the end and external circumstances do not interfere. Let's see what happens next and whether a third force will interfere, blurring the clear boundaries of the concepts of good and bad ;) .

Again, I dislike the implementation not the character, it's not that I "can't stand her", she's just the "ex" the MC ends up having sex with again you see in so many other games, she herself doesn't bother me. What I "can't stand" is the idea that there are choices surrounding her that don't really change the outcomes. For example, if you give two choices, and both lead to sex, what's the point of the choice besides flavor text? That's what annoys me, and what would make me skip through her non-sex scenes, not her character.

MC is far from innocent, we know he's a piece of shit like five minutes into the game lol, he says it himself. Whether its by fate or his own actions though, the issue I have again with how he keeps running into her is with the implementation. You're the Dev, you know things we don't, this is just the perspective of one player, playing for the first time who doesn't know what you know. As a player, I don't need to know everything about the MC, but if he's just stalking his ex to make her jealous why not let the player be more privy to that plan so that it doesn't come off as plot contrivance? If she really traumatized him so badly why would I assume that he's seeing her by choice as he constantly says he wants to stay away from her?

It's not like his motives are all that deep, why make the player guess? We can hear the mental play-by-play of why he wants his new girl to suck his meat a certain way but not why he's actively running into someone who supposedly hurt him?

Like at the end of the day its a porn game, I'm not expecting Shakespeare or anything, just a plot connecting the sex scenes that doesn't feel too forced (again, its porn, some plot points are going to be forced regardless, especially with the supernatural elements at play).

At the end of the day, this isn't an argument or a debate. Just me giving you the the thoughts of one player of your game that others may or may not share. Again, I'm a new player, I didn't play when there was apparently a sandbox in the game, but thankfully you took that feedback and got rid of it but now I'm just hoping this didn't basically turn into a kinetic novel as a result.

This is fantastic, amazing, incredible, and dangerous as fuck!

Two minor typos:
1747808261982.png
"...she looked too scared to do it,..." (replace "to scared" with "too scared")

1747808311154.png
"... She's always around somewhere though." (replace "some where" with "somewhere")
(optional: Add a comma after somewhere for "... She's always around somewhere, though." Not necessary, just depends on how you want the player to read it.)

Trust me, I do appreciate your feedback. There is a choice there it might not feel obvious at that moment, but it is there. This kind of dynamic will come up in other scenes too. For example, if you choose to kiss Pinky not the other way around then going into that scene you force her to suck you off. That’s the approach what I’m going for.

Yeah, I know I went back and did it after the scene happened. The choice i have an issue with is the one that straight up says to be loyal and he ends up having sex with Pinky anyways. Again let me be clear, and I can't stress this enough, my issue is not Pinky or the MC having sex with her its that the choices given didn't match the outcomes, that's it.

If there had been no choice, or if he actually did skip the scene I'd have no issues.

I totally get your point, but that scene is important because it introduces a key character. It also highlights the toxic traits in the relationship Pinky takes control back, even when you try to resist. You’re trying to stay loyal, but she manipulates the situation and pulls you back in. That push-and-pull dynamic is intentional and part of the story.

btw. Not sure what you're using to code Ren'Py, but most have packages to spellcheck for Ren'Py code.

There's probably (almost definitely) more, but this is as far as my heart/mind/self can handle right now.
