Sure, but a) we don't have any known link between her and him or any other evidence suggesting that this was something inflicted on her. And b) Moonsong says others are permanently invisible without this guy's involvement. And finally c) if Amber's power ISN'T invisibility, then what is it?
I'm not saying it isn't that guy, I'm saying we have zero evidence either way... yet.

And that is the crux of it. That yet is important.

I noticed some typos here and there with the chapter 3 release and decided to do a slow read of the dialog and passed what I found to the dev. With that, I started noticing some interesting bread crumbs vaguely and sparsely left here and there in the story. How many are plot threads and how many are intentional diversions, I won't know until the story unfolds. If even half are subtle hints, this going to be a fun thread to read when things are revealed.

I'm going with the theory that our dev is a crafty bastard writing something much deeper than magic dick fills holes to get powers.

Alternate possibility is that Amber's invisibility is not her manifested ability. Remember the briefing at sisterhood HQ about Tigerstripe and known associates.

Invisinosky-
Ability:Turning others invisible permanently. Known victims were sixteen teenage girls.

A rather strange bread crumb to include in that briefing if it didn't or wasn't going to apply to anyone in the story. We'll probably know for sure once Georgia has a chance to look at Amber. The brief flicker could be her gaining more control because of emotional high of that moment or something about her or him causing Invisinovsky's to momentarily be affected.

Actually given that Amber is of personal interest to the MC, it's a fairly easy plot point to have the "good guys" want to send her to Osaka, and the "bad guys" to offer us an alternative to help her, since the game has been heavily hinting at the lines of good and evil are really blurry, and this would lead us down the villain route that is hinted it.

I don't think it's going to be an "evil route" but more of an anti-establishment route past half-point in the game.

Even before all these discussions I never considered Evelyn using her powers as cheating, common.

I just really don't see that, given MILFS, and mum sex which the dev even joked about them being our "mum" it would seem stupid to me for the dev to make Parker a villain in the story.

I was thinking Parker had some dream superpower. But after reading her and her daughter don't have any power because of the vaccine. I would suggest Amber.

But I don't see Parker being the villain in the story yet. But we will see, dev already wrote the next 15 chapters or so, I believe, so I'll be waiting for the renders to finish. To see how the story goes...

I said it was impractical for a functional and social lifestyle, and that is true. Yes she could wear gloves and try to avoid touching people, avoid densely populated areas, live a haphephobic lifestyle etc... Or she could accept her ability and not let it impede the way she wants to live her life... she obviously chose the latter.

Also your comparison to Rogue is an odd choice because her power has a huge impact on her social life. It gives her tremendous anxiety due to how dangerous it is to the person she touches which is precisely why she's haphephobic. Evelyn's power on the other hand is harmless to others. I think the only arguably immoral or harmful thing about it is the invasion of privacy for a mere single day of her host's life.

Yeah, I had the same thought as well during the briefing. Could be a red herring, but otherwise was a very unusual thing to randomly include.

It's entirely possible Amber is a late bloomer and hasn't manifested yet, but people always have assumed she has.

While I do think her emotions have to do with it, my original comment was a little tongue in cheek. It's an AVN, of course sex with MC is the solution, right?

Nah, I think it's the other way around. As the MC is right now, I think it would be extremely out of character for him to not help heal Amber and send her to Osaka instead. That would literally kill her, and it would permanently ruin his relationships with his friends far worse than the "Cursed Dense Jerkwad route" (Forgetting/Ignoring the pact with Evelyn. Yes that's the official name for it. Trust me bro). The MC is naive to a fault, but he's not evil. Opposite in fact, given several characters have mentioned seeing heroic qualities in him.

I have a hard time seeing a "villian route" being a thing because that would be a massive branch. It would force the dev to effectively write two different games and increase the development time tremendously. So I don't think that's going to be a thing. Not impossible I suppose, but unlikely IMO.

That was my thought also, I was just using short hand for Corporate Lapdog or Anti-Establishment as good or evil since in this setting they are very much shown to be that way so far.

I pretty much guarantee that the MTF is eventually going to be the bad guys, regardless of heroes vs villains path. It'll probably just be how you address it that changes.

It's been heavily foreshadowed that MC is going to somehow meet the "villain" metas soon as well and get the whole "join us" speech. While I don't think there will be two whole separate branches, it wouldn't surprise me if there's at least some ability to favor "heroes" or "villains" methods/solutions. Or perhaps MC's dick will be the bridge that brings them together to unite against the MTF as a third option. We already know Inferno is a side sex option, and there's still quite a few Locked profiles.

We also know the Sisterhood is becoming a bit disillusioned with the MTF. If we can convince the "villains" to temper more extreme methods, it wouldn't surprise me if we could get them to at least reluctantly work together for the betterment of all metas. A very similar plot occurred in X-Men, just with less sexy harem hijinks (though the fact it's similar means we shouldn't be surprised to see a twist in the plot).

Edit: Pretty sure something similar occurred in the Heroes TV show as well, but it's been a long time since I watched that.

I think we may have at least temporarily reached a low point for her. Chapter 4 was a pretty significant revelation for her.

According to the dev, these are the girls that will have significant involvement in Chapter 5 and 6 story:

Chapter 5: Evelyn, Lady Steel, Lucía, Marina, Moonsong.
Chapter 6: Amber, Evelyn, Lady Steel, Lucía, Parker.

It seems to me that Amber might not be in Chapter 5 much due to other things going on and taking some time to process what just happened, but that we might get some noticable development in Chapter 6.
