And frankly, your own statements conflict. For something to be "completely unknown" it'd have to have absolutely no evidence to support it. But you included several pieces of evidence that the core function are at a minimum highly similar in your response. Therefore, it's not completely unknown.

In either case, if we want to talk about speculation, there's far more evidence of core similarity than difference. Therefore the theory that the powers work fundamentally the same is much less speculative than that the powers work fundamentally different.

And again, none of this changes the fact that MC viewing Marina is not inconsistent with the evidence we've so far seen regarding how Evelyn's power work.

P.S. Regarding the wolves, from a different perspective they differ very little. Moonsong's wolf is the opposite sex of her. Therefore, the fact that MC's wolf is the opposite sex of him could be interpreted as similarity rather than difference.

On topic, any speculations about what progress Amber might make next chapter (since she's going to have significant story presence)? I suspect it's still too early for her to completely control her power, but that they might make some progress that gives her a bit of hope. Assuming of course that next chapter is when she visits Moonsong to test it.

school week barely started, and we didn't have day skips so far, and I'd say an update covered what... one or max two days at most? So I don't think we'll see Amber with Moonsong just yet since they are meeting during the weekend. But we could also have a "couple days later" version, so who knows.

Yeah, most updates so far have only been 1 day (I think there's only 1 exception at the moment where a chapter covered 2 days). I was thinking about that earlier and I believe we've just finished.. Tuesday? If things continue as 1 day per chapter, we'd definitely have a few to go. But it wouldn't surprise me if we skip a few schooldays in order to get closer to Lucia's party and vising Moonsong at the Sisterhood compound again (both of which are over the weekend). We'll have to wait and see I suppose.

I have a question. When the MC is talking to Anna Abrahams they mention The Assistant as a "film" she is working ion, and I recognize that all these "films" are really other VNs. However, the only VN I could find entitled The Assistant has the MC in the title role, not some hot submissive female. I got the impression that the dreamer that writes the movies sees someone's life play out ... just always someone from another universe. I may be remembering that wrong though.

But as said it is not easy to direct dreams, his brain needed "to fill in the gaps" many times and that is why some details are plain wrong on those movies.
But since nobody else (to his knowledge) can see that parallel universe it is fine.

I feel like one of us is remembering the story wrong ... or we're both doing the same thing -- that is, giving our take on what we think is happening. But you seem to be taking it further than the game gives information about, unless I've completely forgot some in-game explanation.

I don't remember any kind of detail on how the dreamer's power works or how he writes the scripts. Just that he dreams about alternate realities with fascinating stories and he turns them into movies (that happen to closely match AVNs many people that play this game like). I don't remember how much he sees, how long it takes for him to publish a script, what the stories even are (other than the little we got about The Assistant). But it seems clear he's not seeing 1:1 timelines ... whether he sees an entire story overnight, over a week, over a month ... it'd have to take less time to see than actual time passing in the game's world. For all we know, he gets a full world dump every night and he has to spend his days sorting through the information to find the stories he makes (which would imply he doesn't forget much, if anything).

As for what details are wrong, have we got any details about any of the movies? If you're talking about the fact that the characters on the posters don't match the games they're from, that's 'cause the posters are of the actors playing the parts (something I found very disturbing at first, I can tell you.)

Anyway, I may go find that scene and replay it to see if there's something I forgot (very likely, even if I'm right. I definitely wouldn't remember much about the dreams if I had that ability ... and my current brain), but for now I think I've satisfied the itch your little word salad created in me. It was a fun dive.

I don't think we're given tons of details here, since in the big picture it's mostly just a fun gag/cameo.

I will point out though that powers can make dreams behave differently, based on Evelyn. She lucidly sees and remembers a full day for someone else each time she sleeps, so she's on average probably perceiving 16 hours of "dream" time in a typical night. Based on this, I think its safe to assume that "multiverse dream" guy doesn't have to necessarily have dreams that conform to normal dream rules.
