Again Riley works nights so she is out most nights, it could just be that Parker stays in and watches movies with Riley when she's home, or it could just be a coincidence, unless we get Parker saying it herself we can't know if it's deliberate.

Parker is a single woman bringing guys home to her own house to sleep with them. MC calling her out on that would not be MC having a spine that would be being a cunt, slut shaming her for no reason as Parker is doing nothing wrong. As I said previously all indications are that Parker has no clue that MC has a crush on her so she isn't deliberately making him jealous.

Again, calling someone a slut is a massive insult, calling someone a virgin isn't. One is a major insult and the other is harmless banter, bantering back and saying she's obsessed with his virginity because she wants to take it is a much better response than straight up insulting her.

Honestly, my take is that MC really doesn't care that much about the "virgin" teasing. Frankly, if I had a promise from a girl like Ev to pop that cherry soon, I sure wouldn't either.

But he probably can tell that Riley is at least a little insecure about her job, at least at the start. After all, she's hiding it from her mom. So he's not going to tease her about that when it's still a touchy subject.

That would be out of character for the AVN. A big theme of the AVN and MC's character is not shaming women for being sexual.

I'm sure MC might eventually call Riley a slut. But only after they're fucking, and if she likes it. See Evelyn and Emerald for example.

The other thing to keep in mind is that a good story, particularly an origin story, needs to have room for the protagonist to grow as a character and not just in power. So I'm sure that's partially responsible for some early MC attributes.

Edit: In all seriousness, MC acting all "alpha" at everyone that makes a harmless joke at his expense would make him look a lot weaker to me.

Yeah, you can find a middle ground. But being able to laugh at yourself and not letting inconsequential stuff like that stick to you is also a powerful thing that takes self-confidence to do.

What game did you play? Before chapter 8's conclusion, he stood up for Kyle, Cat, Lake and Ev, in all cases he risked his personal safety to stand up for them. I'm not sure how he can be classed as lacking a spine at all.

So you haven't ever seen him back down in conversation? That's more of where I was coming from - he isn't a strong personality. He isn't even an average one from what I can tell. He doesn't have to come off like an asshole to stick up for himself in conversation, and yet more times than not he takes the passive or weak stance in conversations, especially when people are ribbing him with veiled insults or jabs.

He isn't spineless from a "I'm going to physically try to defend this person" perspective (although he is pretty damn stupid), but he is spineless in many of the conversations he's in when someone else gets aggressive. If that's the way he was written, fine. If that's because he was a virgin, okay (though that's LONG past now). Doesn't make him all that enjoyable of a character, though I've seen worse MCs to be sure.

Overall I thought he was "okay", but could have shown a lot more backbone in conversation. Just my .02

There are two characters I definitely don't understand if this does represent future character unlocks: Why is your aunt, Helena, not there ('cause if she's not THE aunt, this game is going to get even more complicated -- and if she is THE aunt, is she the ultimate villain of the game?) and with how little it took to unlock some of the other characters, why is Chokehold NOT unlocked? You may have seen Courtney more times, but you had more interaction with Chokey than with her. Also, are there going to be any female villains left at the end of this game? (Other than maybe the aunt)

Your first comment about that character is more relevant than the second ... there are plenty non-LIs on the list. I didn't make the connection on the last part at all though, and I just finished five nearly-complete playthroughs, so I probably won't be going back to check for a while

I don't know, with the MCs current powerset, even if she tries to go that route, it'll be pretty difficult for her to maintain that facade in the moment, I'd think. Especially if the MC's little brain takes over (he may have to turn on his super strength, but he's still much tougher than before even without turning it on, which means if he strains to use his max normal strength, there won't be that sense of muscle strain to restrict him, and moves like the one he pulled on Meredith will be even easier now.)

The problem with many other stories is, that if you don't do it like that, you later regret some stuff, need to go back and change everything, and then we get to see 1-2 years of updates, where nothing much changes...

I still think the vampire power stealer might be alive and come into it at some point. Parker my understanding is she stays away so mc power isn't as strong on her also
