Man this looks promising. Text CYOA games are fun. Just wondering if everything/most kinks are optional?

The only thing I dislike about games with branching paths is getting surprise buttsexed (any "niche" kink I'm not interested in) because I either picked the wrong choice (That wasn't obvious enough) or the choices all lead to surprise buttsex one way or another.

For example, I see that one of the paths lead to being sold into slavery. I'm not really into that so do I get to easily avoid that sort of thing by picking the right choices (That are obvious) or is it locked behind failing a skill check?

Jokes aside—Orphan doesn’t do sneak attacks with niche kinks.
If something lewd, degrading, or irreversible is about to happen, you'll see it coming like a storm on the horizon.

That said, Cradle is a brutal world. Sometimes failing a check hurts. Sometimes it scars. But you won’t end up bent over a barrel just because you picked “Talk to Stranger.” If you get collared by your mistress or stepped on by a succubus, you earned it. Or you secretly wanted it. Probably both.

And just to be clear— the Gladiator / enslaved route isn't some forced-fem humiliation spiral. Quite the opposite.
It's a Bull path. A Chad path. You might start chained, but you rise by force. You conquer through strength, charisma, or sheer stubborn vitality. There will be plenty of dominance, sex, power, and revenge in that route—if you seize it.

I adore this game, certainly top 5 I've played on this site in terms of prose and word-building. Feels like it could be a genuine adult fantasy novel. However, I do wish there were something like journal entries to remind me of people I've met, different species, locations, etc since it's been a few months since I last played Exalted Text

I finished it after several hours and I think there are many paths, because from the previews uploaded in the first post I never found the violet demon being or the elf in the bikini smoking the pipe.

I feel as if the game is now about 10% or less of its full content, it could easily reach 1 million words in the future, it looks like a big alien world.

In my case, the route I blindly followed ended in an unexpected way:

I couldn't catch the thief because two rascals crossed my path.
I probably chose the wrong way to deal with them and ended up as a slave in the arena.
I killed the ogre very easily.
Enter a grand banquet where you talk to the three royal maidens, your new friends and another gladiator, and finally find the gypsy sitting alone at a table in the corner.

So, did I like it as a whole? I think so, but I'm a bit dazed now, firstly because it's 5.50 AM and I'm already a bit sleepy, and secondly because of the abrupt ending.
If you're looking for sexual content, perversions, etc, I don't think it's for you, it's a slow read of an epic adventure in medieval style with many of the classic races and a mystery in the background. One of those books you find in a library and not in F95 .

But I think I'll wait for the end of the banquet and how that part ends before I decide.

So that's the elf I missed, but did you find the purple/violet demoness?

If it wasn't for the spoiler in that picture, I would never have thought this game would have supernatural content, you find all sorts of diferent things here .

What I don't know is whether the content will only go into two or three stories and the rest you find will be quickly closed as a "bad ending" (except for death), or if the dev is thinking in the madness of writing content for every possibility/path.

I think only the images are created using AI; the text is written by Exalted Text, who I understand is human .

Let's hope that if any characters reappear in future images they will look like the previous versions, hopefully the AI can do it.
