This game is simply soulful and adorable. The whole cast of characters are really well-built and wholesome, to the point you are indifferent to none of them and really get invested in those two families' happiness. They go a bit too far with the constant pandering to any and all sort of minorities, though, to the point of including gluten-free meal options for maximum self-insertion, lol. Seriously, even as a celiac I felt they were overdoing it
There are other little details that make you truly endear yourself with the game, like your early conversations coming back later in the characters' lives (and I especially appreciate that, as I'm doing the same in my own game and wasn't sure how it would work from a player's perspective) and how they look back at that time and reflect on it.
As other users have said before, it made me remember my own childhood and how even the seemingly closest friends end up forgetting about their time together, most of those memories fading for at least one of those people, and become irrelevant in each other lives... It's a sad thing, but also a part of the growing up process.
I'd say this is a game for mature people, even if it's not in the same way of most of the other games on this site: there may be no gore or porn but feelings, and a deep sense of nostalgia for all the summers long gone.
I don't say this much, and probably won't repeat it for any other game, but I'm really looking forward for a happy ending.
Bring part 4 already, dammit!
(Also, please give HotSurferDaddy a LI. That man wasting his best years in complete celibate should be considered a crime!))
