If you have read my posts, you know this is the only story arc that really interests me in the game, so I know I may be unrealistically demanding. In my current (and only second) playing, I am keeping everything with Lena pretty tame (except for an affectionate affair with Holly) so as to accentuate the contrast between her relationship with Seymour and the rest of her everyday life.
BTW: I liked your previous avatar, but I LOVE this one! From where did you get it?
yeah the previous Seymour scene was more "psychological". It was not only hotter but also actually more interesting too story-wise.
The newly updated one is too sexually direct. Cuz now the control is in Lena's hand and not on Seymour's anymore.

Minerva scene was pretty basic, especially compared to her last scene. It is an option now to have her help with the book contest. I wonder if you blew her off she will interfere with the results?

Jess got some content, though she doesnt seem thrilled with it. If you didnt sleep with her Ian can be quite friendly with her in the morning. Seems like there will be two minor routes with her, one where she is used by Ian as sextoy and one similiar to good Jess route in GGGB.

Ian can express his concerns over Axel and Cindy. If he is too aggressive or direct she will fly off tthe handle and he can tank his relantionship with her. I wonder what the better option here is: say you trust her (heart option) or saying she needs to figure her shit out (witts option). Obviously the former keeps Cindy happy, but the latter seems to make her actually reflect. Either option still lets Ian give her the necklet, but the latter it is a little awkward.
I did notice that some (not all) of Minerva's scene used recycled images, which is not good. I'm frankly just glad we got a scene with her at all, because I think she's one of the more interesting women in Ian's storyline. And I agree: if Minerva just hates Ian without the sex, will she throw her vote against him automatically in the book contest?

I was torn about the Bad Jess content. Being nice to her does lead to some good dialogue in the morning - and if I'm seeing it right, I think her hairstyle at that point is the Good Jess hairstyle? I don't know that there will be more sexytimes for Ian with her if he sleeps with her this time, though. She seems to be putting up with the sex rather than enjoying it, which would be entirely in her character as it stands from the end of GGGB if she doesn't end up with Ashley or Dave. And I wouldn't be surprised if, when she disappears before Ian wakes up in the morning, that's the last he sees or hears from her if he fucked her.

I was glad to see those options for Ian expressing concern to Cindy about Axel. Lena could try at Blazer in ch11, but realistically there's no way Cindy could be expected to take her warning seriously. Ian might get through to her - or maybe not, depending on how forcefully a player's Ian expresses his misgivings. EK knows her characters well; of course Cindy will overreact to any critical viewpoint someone else has about her, even Ian. It was very telling to me that, in the worst overreaction, she accuses him of treating her like Wade does, which is obviously false. And I think EK has set up some really good options for herself with the story moving forward. If Ian trusts Cindy and doesn't say much of anything, she could possibly be faithful, or cheat and break his heart. If he expresses mild suspicion, she's still left where she's been for two chapters now: unsure of what she wants long-term, not wanting to deal with it, and an increasingly frustrated Ian debating to himself whether to jump ship. And if they get into an argument, she basically kicks him out, the door is wide open for her to pursue Axel (or allow him to pursue her), and Ian pretty much indicates he may be done with her anyway. Even though Cindy is far from my favorite character, I do think the way Eva's been telling her story has been quite strong over the last few chapters.

Yes, Ian's relationship with Jeremy can affect how he reacts to the news, but the reveal is guaranteed and, looking at the script, it's intended this way, not a bug.
Maybe the dialogue needs some tweak because the way Jeremy reveals his knowledge (to us players) is just too jarring. Or we should just treat it as an off-screen thing? Just to be clear this only applies to the Ian route that did not get caught on Wade's birthday.

the update was very short (a bit expected), it ends in a cliffhanger for the absolute drama that'll be the beach house arc.
also, I was hoping some news from the Lena path but oh well, gotta wait for the next update.

In my loyal route, Ian wonders in his internal monologue and I quote: was the story repeating itself?, was I being cheated on once more...?

Coming out of nowhere and without Jeremy saying anything other than that it's a good catch and Lena hasn't cheated on anyone, the line seems a little out of place.
Yes, that bit is bugged, it's a part of getting news of being cheated on, but it's placed on wrong level in the script so the game shows it regardless.

I suspect the thing with Jeremy potentially not seeing Ian/Cindy getting it on is just something EK didn't account for. We'll see if updated version corrects that.

I honestly don't care about the recycled assets in the new scenes if it means faster releases.
I mean how many different drawing do you really need for the same sex positions?

If everyone had to choose between brand new assets in each update vs faster releases, the majority of people would pick faster releases.

WELL HERE YOU GO!

Our Red String Chapter 12 (Tournament update) Alpha Release!

PC

Mac

Android

This part of Chapter 12 focuses on the MMA tournament, while trying to advance some plotlines with character relationships. You might also find a particularly intense and maybe unexpected scene if you're on a certain path...
I had to go back and fix somewhat of a plothole regarding the Cindy love path: turns out Ian hadn't yet broken up with Lena and/or Alison even though he said he would, and as I was writing this chapter, I realized adding those event now would feel out of place. A quick replay of Chapter 11 might be needed to avoid possible bugs. I've also tweaked some "kickboxing" requirements that apparently made impossible to get to the master level during chapter 11, did you encounter this problem?
I also took the opportunity to tweak Seymour's scene in this last chapter, and add something I had in my mind but wasn't able to include. I wanted to save it for later, but it made so much sense to include it in this scene, and I had to.

Regarding the tournament itself; I knew I wanted to create a narrative-driven fighting system since before starting ORS, that's why I included the MMA training concept right from the start. I know it's not really integral to the plot of an erotic game, and some of you will skip entirely and wish I hadn't devoted the time I did (because, in the end, I made it way more complicated than I probably should).
But for those who try it, I hope you enjoy it; some tweaking and balancing is probably still needed, and I'm not entirely sure how easy it is to win or lose. I've tested it quite a lot and I believe it works as intended; it's been a real head-ache to build but I also had quite a lot of fun, so it's a side-quest I enjoyed and I hope the effort put into it translates into something fun and enjoyable for players too.

If anything I think more devs should use this approach, if done correctly it can vastly speed up development.

Ofcourse there are the obvious lazy ways to do these things which would be immediately noticable IMO.
