still no drugs ingame? But why? No prostitution? WTF?
Lena can take some molly on a night out however we are still too early for the hardcore stuff. It is coming but it will be a slow burner, made slower because the updates on this game are taking three times longer than the GGGB updates. The quality of the updates have been worth it thus far though imo.

As well, Ian can get high with Emma at the apartment (which is pretty funny). But agreed, it is a bit too early to be getting all drugged up and even into prostitution already. Lena just started her cam stuff, so it'll be a bit before she is at Ivy's level, much more for her to go all prostitution mode lol (if it even happens).

BlandChili I think it's a bit early for cohabitation part for some like Lena and Ian who have something going on and have not gotten over their financial burdens, though I can see that happening if Ian and Cindy become a thing or Ian goes for emma and doesn't become a wingman for perry.
I wouldn't necessarily disagree that it's early for cohabitation but sometimes life happens you know?
Say, if Ian lost his place to live he might be able to either find something else for himself or get a place with an available female character who he has expressed, or hinted, a romantic interest in.
Anything's possible and perhaps Eva might find it an interesting way to tell the story? I'm mostly just speculating about the options.
I hadn't thought about how living arrangements is a more prominent theme in this game, but I agree. Interesting!

I can't remember all the details about this, but even though Ashley could choose where to live in GGGB, it didn't feel important to the story. At that point her path was already quite set, and I don't think there were any ways she could really fuck up things with her roommates. Whether she lived with her dad, her mom or with Jess, the main choice was basically whether to be in a sexual relationship with them or not.
Yeah, fair point, when Ashley can move it doesn't really feature much conflicting variability, rather every option besides moving in for herself is just supposed to add extra scenes for different routes; Jessica cam stuff with Kevin, incest paths with either mom or dad and such.

Yeah, good points also. It is certainly a hurdle for any writer/programmer to get over, but I feel like Eva does have a history of getting into difficult side-projects if she thinks it will add something interesting (fight mechanic for example) and it'd perhaps be more likely to have significant influence if she wanted to make living arrangements more of a focus in the story.

Like mehGusta said it would also be something that could open up many new sexual options to explore, such as cuckoldry, but not just that. It could be group sex parties, polygamy and different kinds of sexual play that is easier to portray with a pair who's living together (pet play for example).

Well, development would be a lot easier if everyone just shared my kinks and Eva could focus solely on those. :sneaky:

The variety of options and Eva's design whims are a strong point of this game and I'd love for her to be able to do more of it. I just hope she refocuses her efforts in the short-term on finding another line-work artist + hands off full programming duties and some of the Patreon-appeasement updates, marketing, ect to her current (or new) help so she can focus solely on story, art direction and general design. As-is, any more creative whims she wants to implement require either a trimming down or drop in quality of other paths players are invested in. Or alternately, months added to each release in the development cycle. It could all be doable in a reasonable amount of time if she finds enough talented staff that'll work on the cheap. And if she can handle relinquishing more day-to-day control of some of the minute work to focus on the grand-scheme. Hopefully she's considering profit-sharing options to grab more talented staff willing to work for crumbs now on the promise of a nice payday in final-release profits, plus the clout to take their own careers further with the prestige of a successful game release.

Well, the game portrays the lives of a group of relatively ordinary young people, with a female protagonist who at the start of the game works at a café and enjoys hanging out with her friends, playing guitar and working out, and is still trying to get over a bad breakup several months earlier. Considering the fact that only about two months have passed in-game since the beggining of the story, I'd say the best answer to your question "No prostitution? WTF?" is that it would be completely unrealistic (and also bad writing). People don't just end up in prostitution from one day to another if there's no preconditions for it.

Our Red String is a great visual novel, but the fact that you can't turn Holly into a toothless crack whore with depression and suicidal tendencies is indeed quite underwhelming. :(

No, because she's not actually having sex with them. It's porn.
It's a gateway possibility. Just like insta-hoeing. Quick enough transition where a desperate-for-cash Stalkerfap girl receives an indecent proposal she can't refuse from a Saudi prince, or tech billionaire, or guy that owns 3/4 of the town who's already lavishing the posh-leaning Stalkerfap girl with expensive gifts. Especially if her Stalkerfap friend is already in the business to keep the tacky pink sports-cars flowing. I don't see low-class street hoeing happening any time soon if ever though, unless the drug element ramps up pretty quickly.

That being said, I'm not sure if Eva would go there, based solely on the fact that while Ash in GGGB could do practically any fucked-up fetish under the sun, technical prostitution was never an option. Unless I'm missing a path I didn't play through.

I also wouldn't be surprised if our 10's-across-the-board billionaire mastermind has a micro-penis and would rather sit back and fiddle his button while manipulating MC to get primal-fucked by her controlling ex-bf, while getting off on the soul-breaking control aspect of it all - over both MC and her ex. If done for fame or money, that falls well over the line into prostitution IMO, even if some will argue the technicals.

A prostitute sells/trades sex to the customer for money, while porn/OF is watching other people have sex. So an OF simp get's no physical sexual favours in return for his money. Porn is like a sexual WWE for grown people, with fake characters and dumb storylines. Prostitution is something else completely.... Well maby not "completely", but the customer get's to enjoy the real deal... In a sad shallow way.
