I find it funny how some people are complaining about "lack of choice". Compare this v0.1 to GGGB v0.1. There is a ton more choice in this new game compared to that one. What could Ashley chose at the start of the game? To let Jessica copy her homework and what more? I think people are comparing this v0.1 to the full fledged and completed GGGB game where there's a ton of choice, but that's only natural ffs. To say that the only improvement is the art is just not true, the stat system and friendship system is much more advanced, the menus are a lot more in depth, the writing is more detailed and the choices a lot more thought out in my opinion. I felt I got a ton of choice and content for a v0.1, so I can only imagine what the creator of GGGB will be able to accomplish with this. Yeah, Ash could choose to do a naked photoshoot or not, but Ash started out like a really bland and generic character. Lena has a lot more personality and if nude photoshoots are a standard for her, imagine where will she be able to end up... It's too early to say, that's why I haven't reviewed the game yet, but I trust Eva Kiss and what she's shown so far is beyond impressive if we are to judge objectively

To reply to the reply: I also feel like this new game offers POTENTIAL for even more choices than GGGB, just by having two main characters and showing how they interact. I love it so far! It's obviously in the same style as GGGB but with potential for some interesting new stories and dynamics. Plus Lena looks just like someone I know...hurts my heart a little each time she's on screen, but in a good way. :) Gonna have to throw some money at this one once the world gets back to normal.

I agree with your sentiment. But I think the biggest difference is that in GGGB we were at the start of Ash's journey into adulthood so she was more innocent and we the players felt we had more control over her life direction. IN ORS Lena and Ian are in the middle of their life, their personalty has already been set, they have a past which is influencing their present with their relevant mental baggage.

I believe the fans who have followed from GGGB have not adjusted to this new idea. I confess initially I also thought that the choices were limited until I played the game second time. I'm sure after a couple of releases and after getting used to the new concept everyone will come around and there will be less head bashing. Plus this is an introduction to the characters and setup.

EVAKISS has given us one of the best games ever and I think she has more than earned the right and trust to experiment with ORS. I'm pretty sure she will not disappoint us

You nailed the issue here. It seems that people are not ready to move on and just expect GGGB 2 in a new package. They fail to realize that this is not a corruption game anymore. There are no "Bad" points. If anything, it's probably a romance game. The fact that they have a problem with adult Lena making adult choices before the game starts, is telling to me. Perhaps they are not ready to face adulthood as well.
The variety and choices are Eva's trademark and what makes this game similar to GGGB but this is where similarities end. Just like ORS is not GGGB 2, Lena is not Ash 2.0. She's not a student. She is not the player avatar. She has a personality and has made several life choices that she now has to deal with. That's what being an adult is about. Doing nude modeling is the norm for her, why would she deny this gig if it paid well? She's a diligent worker in the cafe so ending her shift earlier than usual for one day wouldn't make much difference. So with all that in mind, I hope others can see why Lena agrees to the photoshoot. Same reason why Ash agrees to change her clothes for the first time and start her Instagram account, following Jessica's advice. Because it's not a big deal to her.
Now that we got that out of the way, I don't understand this complaint aimed at Ian. ORS has 2 playable characters, deal with it. Eva made it clear in her announcement so it's not like she lied to anyone. People are allowed to hate it but complaining about it is not constructive in any way. Why not accept the game as it is and just suggest what could be improved? If anything, I think Ian is more similar to Ash in terms of personality because even though he's 27, he didn't make any meaningful choices in his life that would qualify him as an adult so he has yet to explore and challenge himself in different situations. Sure, it might not be as fun as whoring Ash out to anyone in GGGB but it's not the problem with the game, it's the problem of having false expectations.

To add a bit of personal critique, I find it a bit hard to swallow that at 27 years of age Ian is fairly chill, working his shit job and living in his pal's house. I think he should be the one having several jobs and grasping for side gigs even more than Lena. Being 25, I feel constant pressure to get a better job so I could afford to live on my own and not be constantly broke and it would be my nightmare to end up in 2 years like Ian.

Lena seems to auto-decide for herself without player input. (E.g. accepting the nude modeling gig from her friend. Lena can only be grateful for the offer or be slightly annoyed at her friend for organizing it behind her back -but she can't decline.)
I also felt like that at first, but now I realized Lena had no choice to make, she desperately needs money and she's a slut. Dev wanted to establish those traits of her.

...I also don't care for the male MC. Pity that he'll suck up half of all content of every future update.
Imagine these awesome scenarios:

Lena doing porn shoot with 4 BBCs, then later Ian can watch it on his laptop and jerk off aggressively.

Ian and Cindy gonna get married, Perry throw a bachelor party for Ian. Lena and Ivy show up as hired strippers.

Then maybe cucked Wade comes in with a gun and kills everyone :devilish:

It's hard to top bimbo Ash (aka Foxxy Doll) or thug Ash. At 20 she did BBC gangbang, DP, DAP, fucked both her dad and mom, cucked multiple guys, won best actress at porn Oscar, sold drugs, killed people, ruled the OITNB prison gang, snitched, get shot in the head, etc.

Unless Lena can also fuck her mom and dad, then pee on her mom and drink her dad's piss while getting fisted in both holes by Jeremy, then eat her own scat, there's no topping bimbo Ash

Perhaps "topping" is not necessary? I need a new reaction to properly react to this -

What makes you think that ORS is not a corruption game? There are no bad points, that's for sure, but there are lust points, which are pretty similar, if you think about it. I think that the new point system was made not to change the essence of the game, but to create a more immersive, complicated and believable experience. That old system of good and bad points was too simple and one-dimensional.
I'm quite sure that many of Eva Kiss' patrons are going to be very disappointed if this game will turn out to be a "romance game". It is like coming to your favorite restaurant and discovering, that instead some Italian cuisine it has started serving Japanese food only. Both are great for some people, but such a unexpected change is a disaster for its loyal supporters.

Hmm, the art looks very good. Not to disparage Good Girl, Gone Bad but this look better.

I'm pretty sure this game will have a corruption route, and also a romance route, as GGGB had. Don't forget you could play a perfectly normal game were Ash had a beautiful relationship with Eric, Dave, Jack, Jessica, Eva, Ryan...

I thought it would be obvious but apparently I was wrong. First of all, the name i.e. the premise. "Our Red String" is not about red flimsy panties. It's about a bond between 2 people, 2 souls (Ian and Lena). It could either be a bond between 2 closest friends or a bond between lovers. It's clear to me that Ian and Lena are destined in some way (!) to be together and help each other out. The focus on emotional investment is much more defined and it was very noticeable in this first update.
In GGGB corruption was the premise, the core idea of the game. A sweet and innocent girl gets tempted in every step and it's her choice to let those temptations in and descend into darkness or resist and keep some sense of normality. Or choose the best of both worlds. Just like in LOP's "Eleanor: Loving Wife or Dirty Whore" and many other similar games with the female protagonist, you get to choose between 2 extremes or balance in the middle.
Lust points are not similar to Bad points, though I can see why the confusion may take place. In GGGB you sure are awarded Bad points for allowing Ash to be sexier and have as many sexual encounters as you can, but you also get awarded Bad points for taking drugs, being egotistical, betraying friends, hurting people and other acts that turn Ash into a shitty person. So the corruption in GGGB is not just sexual but emotional as well. Ashley can be sexy and have many sexual partners and still be a kind person, loyal friend, loving girlfriend or daughter and level headed career woman which the game considers "Good". Or she can be a human garbage drug addict criminal and fuck just 1 other person which the game would still consider "Bad".
In ORS Lust just determines how much Ian and Lena let their lust affect their choices and how they view sex in general. Since they're both single, even if they pursue other people or in Lena's case decide to do stripping to get extra money, it wouldn't be the same as corruption in GGGB because those options don't necessarily change their personality. They could re-evaluate their priorities in life but they won't do a complete 180 personality change like in the case of GGGB. I'd say the corruption in the original sense could more accurately be applied to the new system of Agenda a.k.a. individual connections with people around you. The friendlier you are to your friends, the better reputation you have. If you treat them horribly, the lower your reputation is.

TL;DR: Do I think there's going to be some form of "corruption" in ORS? In some way definitely, just for the sake of keeping the fanbase happy. But is it the main purpose of the game like it was in GGGB? Absolutely not. Otherwise, Lena would be the only protagonist. Male corruption is just not interesting. If GGGB had 70% of content dedicated to corruption routes, ORS will probably have 30-40% of content dedicated to the corruption of Lena and others. My original point was that people should wait before judging the game for providing a different experience instead of expecting the same and getting disappointed over it. After all, it's a new game - not a sequel.

I'm sorry, but it is only your imagination, the way you want it to be. It could be anything, for example just a metaphor with regard to how lives of people are interconnected and how seemingly small decisions lead to major consequences. That idea of some destined love between protagonists has never been declared by Eva Kiss or anyone.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. Eva Kiss didn't want to make another GGGB game. She explored that story of an innocent girl quite thoroughly, if you ask me (except for those funny ideas above about pissing and fisting). Eva decided to make a more real, complicated story, that goes beyond those too simplistic good and bad points. In real life there are no good or bad points that make you a good or bad person. But people do become more corrupt or sluttish or whatever. A girl can be a good, loyal friend and a hooker or porno actress at the same time.
Otherwise, Lena would be the only protagonist. Male corruption is just not interesting. If GGGB had 70% of content dedicated to corruption routes, ORS will probably have 30-40% of content dedicated to the corruption of Lena and others. Have you played Japanese adult games? If you haven't, let me tell that in many of them you have both a female and male protagonists. Why? For example, when they try to explore NTR, cheating and so on. Both perspectives make those games more immersive.
And about male corruption. Maybe it is not interesting for you or me, but it seems that those people above who want to see many gay routes might not agree with us. More than that, female corruption stories are relatively common, but I haven't seen many with male protagonists. It is a quite unusual concept.

I agree that people should not expect for Eva Kiss to make GGGB Part 2. It would be boring for her and eventually for her patrons. But in my opinion, expecting that this is going to be a romantic novel for bored housewives, The Notebook by Eva Kiss, is also quite preposterous.

Okay, a fair point. That is indeed my subjective interpretation of the genre/premise of the game based on what the game demonstrated in 0.1. I do agree about a metaphor about decisions and how they affect people around us, which also correlates with the theme. I guess it was a miscommunication on my part, I didn't intend to state with certainty that the game is going to be of romantic nature. It was my suspicion, at least one of them. But what I am certain of based on what I saw in ORS part 1, is that this game is much deeper than GGGB, with more complex systems and much more complex characters. Based on that, I suspect that those characters matter in more ways than simply being romance options or sex objects to corrupt/be corrupted by. Therefore, in my opinion, corruption can't be the sole purpose of the game. Expecting it and disregarding Ian for "taking Lena's space" means not understanding the game.

Have you played Japanese adult games? If you haven't, let me tell that in many of them you have both a female and male protagonists. Why? For example, when they try to explore NTR, cheating and so on. Both perspectives make those games more immersive.
And still, you get all these people complaining about for a simple fact of having a male MC. Potentially you could also use male MC in a corruption game where the MC is the one corrupting others (like Ashley corrupting Eva/Iris/Mom). I guess Ian is just not disgusting enough to sell this idea (imagine playable Arthur). I am almost certain there will be an NTR route for those who enjoy it (I can already picture how many players are going to let Lena date Ian only to cheat on him with Axel or Jeremy or everyone else). And yet, even those options don't necessarily sound like corruption to me. We are going to determine how seriously everyone is going to take their relationships with others which is much deeper than GGGB's system.

ORS is definitely not going to be a pure romance visual novel. I expect it to have an interesting story, there will be interesting character interactions with lots of opportunities to both explore main characters out of their comfort zones and affect side characters in various ways with lots of love, lots of hate and a good amount of debauchery. But even then I doubt it's going to be all about corruption

Played through a version of this, no sex yet, is there a version out there with sex (patreon etc)? Or is it still early days of development? Which I don't mind, based on the previous output I have high hopes for this.
