sorry im new to this game.. whats the diff between 0.2 alpha and beta?

Aside from certain bug fixes, certain scenes were expanded, especially the final scene in the club. If Ian helps Perry with Cherry, she will then ask Perry to go for more drinks and Ian feels like a fifth wheel lol. And Alison route was expanded upon, now Ian doesn't need to be as aggressive with her to succeed. Earlier, he could only score with her if he kissed her in the bar. Now, if he says "We were young and naive", they'll have a completely different, more relaxed, intimate scene where both act like shy teenagers in love.
Alison and Ian calmly go to his (Perry's) apartment, and he invites her in to check it out. Inside, Alison asks for a glass of water. Ian gives her one and can then kiss her which will give him another Lust point. Or he can decide to use a pickup line on her while she drinks water, making her choke on it If he just gives her the water, she kisses him. It's a very sweet and cute alternative scene, and I prefer it actually. This interaction does justice to their long-term friendship and shows that they're still dorks. Adorable.

I'm really liking it so far. Really glad the author is so good about steady updates. Can't wait to see where this will be in.. well, let's be honest, i'll be checking it out whenever I see an update.

On the other hand, Ian has to show more effort to properly be successful with girls. He has to have at least enough Wits and Charisma to be interesting, enough Lust to seal the deal, enough Athletics to be good in bed. In Chapter 2 it's very hard to gain stats for Ian while also maintaining relationships. I found myself lacking Charisma because I don't want to cross Minerva by acting like an amateur. While Lena has a lot of opportunities to gain stats (with exception of Wits) and she doesn't really have to try all that much. Who knows, maybe Seymour will be a game-changer and will be the first man who will act neutral to Lena unless she has enough points to impress/seduce him. But Ian needs to have more opportunities to farm stats, definitely.

That feels pretty true to life though. Pretty women don't have to work that hard (if all they want is to get laid), but even guys that are attractive still have to put in some work.

P.S. Women may have to do more work on the back end (e.g., makeup, fashion), but that's not really emphasized in this game (as in GGGB).

May I ask how you read the script file for ORS? The usual way of UnRen doesn't work for me, it only shows random symbols.

Make sure you are using the .rpy files.and going to script.rpy, Chapter 1 and 1b and chapter 2 and 2b .rpy files.

He definitely seems supportive. However, I do have doubts about him. If Lena agrees to be his model for money, Stan does get a bit brave and asks her to remove the t-shirt because he paid for a lingerie photoshoot. I think he's pretty harmless for now while he's still in his shell, but I'm afraid he doesn't have pure intentions and might want to seek opportunities to take advantage of Lena's kindness, generosity, and compassion. He'll definitely ask for a fully nude photoshoot next time if he realizes that he can get his money's worth from her, then for erotic photoshoots, then for borderline x-rated naughty shots... But ultimately it would be Lena's decision whether or not she wants to encourage him and continue playing this game for extra $. I like Stan better when Lena decides to pose for him for free. He still wants to see her lose her clothes but understands that he has to be careful in order to not fuck things up by being too bold and ask of her something that she's not comfortable with. She can choose to tease him and take her t-shirt anyway if she feels playful but in that case, it's more of a reward for playing nice.

I was thinking about making it since I basically dissected the chapter myself. But if Zoey is going to deliver, then I'm fine with that.

Are you going to update the Chapter 1 guide though? I think it lacks some details that were added there in 0.2 Alpha.

I forced a path with the fight scene in chapter one, there are no problems with the current path. I am not changing it. As it gets you to where you need to go. Also what details in chapter 2 are you referring to please point these out to me and I would be more than happy to look at them and update the guide (however I play tested all paths and they are correct). If you have something concrete you can point to in the script file or typos you would like to highlight and send to me I would be fine with correcting them. Send me a PM. I'm sure even after proofing there is a mistake or two.

Character design (Jeremy)

Same as with Lena, I wanted Ian to have several friends that would pull him in different directions. Jeremy contrasts sharply with Perry: he's a merry and outgoing player, a guy who is mostly interested in going after girls and is not ashamed of it. His social spheres are very different too, he's into clubbing, fitness and nightlife. Jeremy has quite a polarising personality though, and if the player is not too aligned with his outlook in life tensions can arise, so I guess some of you will think Jeremy's a cool dude while others will think he's a bit of a jerk!
At the beginning Jeremy's design was a lot like Kevin's in GGGB, but I decided to change him and make him black to have a more racially diverse cast. Besides, Tyrone was one of the most popular characters in GGGB, but he was a walking stereotype. This time I wanted Jeremy to be defined by more than just his ethnicity, hopefully creating a more intricate and believable character. He has the potential to create quite a ruckus in the story!
