Not only that but he admits he SHOULD have a talk with her, via Lena talking to him, but says 'I don't wanna hurt her' or something to that effect. Dude... You are hurting her by lying your ass off and fucking around with Allison AND trying to hook up with Ivy, and who knows who else.Man could have literally just broken up with her, or been upfront about the fact he didn't saw their relationship as serious or exclusive when Louise clearly thought otherwise.
Jeremy kept his mouth shut because he was already able to get some with Louise and knew that the moment she realized what he was about that she would dump his ass (at least with how the characters were at the start of the game).
Also he does admit he "messed up" when chatting with Lena some time after Louise breaks up with him, and he also got his balls busted by the boys when the subject comes up in their group of friends ("it wasn't me"). You could argue Jeremy thinks he only messed up by getting caught rather than cheating in the first place, but I don't think he is on that level of sociopathy yet, just a bit shameless and trying to hide under the excuse that it was just a misunderstanding between him and Louise that he didn't correct in time.
Yes, but then he'd have to face the same drama and complaints over the breakup he ultimately experienced, while giving up on sex. I hope no one is harboring illusions breakup with Louise would be a clean affair. It's easy to see why from his point of view it was preferable to keep stalling.Man could have literally just broken up with her, or been upfront about the fact he didn't saw their relationship as serious or exclusive when Louise clearly thought otherwise.
Precisely. No fucks were given and no lessons were learnt.Jeremy kept his mouth shut because he was already able to get some with Louise and knew that the moment she realized what he was about that she would dump his ass (at least with how the characters were at the start of the game).
I don't think it's sociopathy per se, just a very typical level of selfishness you'll see in many YAs. Heck, in people in general. It could be argued Lena, Ivy, Mike (and even Ian) can display the same sort of self-centeredness where personal pleasure counts first and foremost, and no serious thoughts are given to how other people affected by one's actions might feel about it. At least not to the point of feeling some actual remorse and learning anything from it.You could argue Jeremy thinks he only messed up by getting caught rather than cheating in the first place, but I don't think he is on that level of sociopathy yet, just a bit shameless and trying to hide under the excuse that it was just a misunderstanding between him and Louise that he didn't correct in time.

Just pointing out that's literally one of the defining behaviors associated with sociopathy. Growing to not care about other people's feelings is a natural progression from repeatedly making decisions that hurt said feelings.no serious thoughts are given to how other people affected by one's actions might feel about it.
6 monthsI can't wait for next update heheh. Usually how long it will take for new update? Is it a month?
We are still waiting for it. It has been 2 weeksdid i miss weekly report or is it yet to come?
Thank you. My nuts couldn't be more proud. (They've always been close). This sums it up well (and congrats to your butt on the Poohlitzer).
ORS has objectively good writing compared to its contemporaries in the genre, and middling writing compared to writing in the gaming industry writ large. So it is doing well by that POV.Lets see: A set of antagonists that aren't all that thrilling and bland. You have Seymour, who wants to control Lena and make her a sex slave. How is that interesting? You have Axel, who is also obsessed with Lena and can't take a fucking hint and is apparently involved every fucking where. Do we really need Axel to be at a gay bar next? Jeremy is just a BBC kink and has no depth to him at all whatsoeer. Stan is... Stan. And yet the revolving drama each chapter is: Will Lena be able to afford anything while slutting it up or not? Will Ian not get cucked and become the writer he wants to be? Will Stan die in a fiery crash and be replaced?
And sure, I'm bitter and jaded as fuck about Ivy-Ian, yet the writer in me screams 'Eva could do better'. Less kink/fetish crap, more character building. Make Jeremy a decent guy instead of being the Tyrone-lite and wanna be player. Add some depth and delve into characters and their relationships such as Jeremy and Louise and have Lena try to mediate that rathr than gloss over it and reward Jeremy over and over again without little to no punishment. Not to mention Lena more or less being able to fuck around while still being into Ian and have no punishment to speak of but if Ian does it's grounds for murder. Expand on Perry's or Emma's or Cherry's or whoevers passions and interests.
So for me, yeah the story is below average and isn't interesting and lack creative 'villains'.
Fortunately for you, there are literally hundreds of other games out there to check out and play.I get why some people are very obsessed with the game- when I first played I was quite optimistic it would end up being cool- but as I played more I realized unless you like a few very specific things it is pretty damned boring.
My issue is 2 weeks between weekly updates twice in a row. It shouldn't be that hard to write a weekly update even if there was little progress made. This long wait begins to strain.. the scenes are drawn, why do they do this for so long?
She just shouldn't call it "weekly update" anymore, just "dev update". A weekly report is not necessary anyway, at least once a month for patrons who pay monthly. My issue is 2 weeks between weekly updates twice in a row. You're right of course, am just reluctant to slap that label because imo it warrants much more prevalent behavior, and applying it so loosely devalues the term.Just pointing out that's literally one of the defining behaviors associated with sociopathy. Growing to not care about other people's feelings is a natural progression from repeatedly making decisions that hurt said feelings.
I agree about the immoral aspect; i was simply arguing that because it makes complete sense for the kind of character he is, i don't think this was any sort of a lesson for him. For that matter, i don't think he actually means it when he says he knows that he handled things wrong. It's likely this is just empty concession to get Lena off his back and/or look better in her eyes.Either way, this is not to say that Jeremy's behavior is unreasonable, it makes complete sense for the type of character that he is, but it is still imoral.
I completely agree, but from my own and others experiences, sex seems to be where a lot of otherwise decent, moral people fail completely. Especially given that Lena essentially offers herself up to Jeremy, if you make those choices for her in the game, I think it would take a man of absolute iron will to say no. And Jeremy is not a man of absolute iron will. Even if he were genuinely committed to Louise, I think the temptation would be nigh impossible to resist.Just pointing out that's literally one of the defining behaviors associated with sociopathy. Growing to not care about other people's feelings is a natural progression from repeatedly making decisions that hurt said feelings.
But as to the rest, the point of breaking up with Louise (or having a discussion that would very likely lead to a break-up) is not for Jeremy to avoid drama, but to respect Louise's autonomy and right to decide what kind of relationship she wants to have. Louise feeling upset at a break-up is her prerogative as much as not wanting to be in an exclusive relationship is Jeremy's, deceiving her by omission and cheating is not.
Either way, this is not to say that Jeremy's behavior is unreasonable, it makes complete sense for the type of character that he is, but it is still imoral. I would just add that my read on him is that he is not imoral by malice (in the way the bigger villains like Seymour and Axel are), but just by immaturity. He wants to be a "player" but he is also not really ready to be a villain, he still seeks rationalizations that say he "isn't hurting anyone" or "it was a misunderstanding, not really his fault". Him being able to admit he was wrong in how he handled things with Louise is a little step, even if he is not ready to reform his ways.
Nah it's better for devs to be more consistent and transparent. Eva Kiss had a good thing going with the weekly updates for this chapter, only the last 4 weeks have been inconvenient, but in general it's good for keeping the public informed and for maintaining hype for the next release. She didn't even have to show any teasers just telling her audience where things are at. I'd rather her weekly updates than one of the hundreds of devs that just disappear for 3 months only to tell the audience that they are still 'working hard'She just shouldn't call it "weekly update" anymore, just "dev update". A weekly report is not necessary anyway, at least once a month for patrons who pay monthly.
Ah the chapter 9 update, some may remember how she promised to kick herself in the teeth if she missed the deadline...Chapter 9: 5 months
