The thing is...in earlier versions of the game I treated Jeremy better. I had one route where I followed the path of the Eskimo brothers, just wanted to open up more content. He seemed to be such a successful manwhore like my Ian and seemed like a good bro.
But I tried other branches. And it turned out that Jeremy's only achievements are Alison if Ian is not interested in her and the stupid fool Louise by default.
He can't get Emma without Ian's approval. He can't get Lena if she doesn't have a BBC fetish.
And when a major league girl like Ivy is in front of him, all his self-confidence disappears and the shy guy he was before returns.

It's the dialogue differences in scenes. In chapter 10 no-sex route did not have Lena talking about other people's dicks, while the cuck route did. Then in chapter 11 the two routes merged during the footjob scene. So now even though Ian had previously not shown interest in Lena's sexual exploits he is forced to choose to listen to how some dude pissed on her and now in the epilogue he is asking about the people in the club hitting on her. Again no sex route player that didn't choose to ask about "one of the best dicks?" are still forced into the cuck route.

If you want a no-sex route, you'll have to accept Ian being a cuck, deal with it

If you look at the default relationship values to start the game, the base minimum on both Lena´s and Ian´s side, towards any character they don´t know, or the ones they do know but don´t particularly like is 3.
Ian-Robert/Axel/Minerva or Lena-Cindy/Gillian/Stan for example. Very few exceptions like Lena/Perry = 5.

All characters within their respective friend group are at 5 or 6 and there are no characters at all with a value of 1 or 2.

However there are exactly 2 characters on each side with a value of 0.
For Lena that´s Axel and Cherry. For Ian it´s Gillian and ... yes, Mark.

As I said initially this could as well mean nothing and just be a coincidence. I don´t know.

In-game explanation? Hmn.... According to Ivy he is "some guy" she knows, probably from the club when he tried hitting on her? (topless pic) It´s highly likely he is not a close friend and she does not actually know anything about his personal life (or he could have lied)? MAybe I missed something in the dialogue that suggests otherwise.

Also, at this point Gillian being Mike´s GF would just be too obvious and boring

This didn't happen on my Ian/Lena. I mean there was no option to convince Jeremy.
She probably wasn't spoiled enough because all she did was moderate Stalkfap, photo shoots and one hook up with Mike.
