Axel looks like a chad but is not really one. Although that depends on each person and their definition of chad.
I mean, being a whiny manchild is pretty par for the course for the wanna-be chads. The whole need to show everyone around who's the boss is rooted in insecurity to begin with.

Ian sucks as a main character. EK could have let the players embody someone fantastically more interesting, an aspiring dj, an aspiring club promoter, an aspiring photographer, someone starting a modeling agency... but no. He's just some office nobody working on sci fi novel.
I have never played a video game where the main character is more boring than real life.
I'm being harsh I supposed also because... this game is awesome and its upsetting there is such an eye sore of game play which is Ian. EK created this amazing game where characters can choose good or bad and have their future in the game reflect those choices.
That dichotomy of decision making completely could have existed as a Dj, or photographer, or modeling agency founder with hard moral decisions and erotic paths.
