Well, I theorise that is a change Steam might have had a hand in it. When it comes to adult stuff, Steam or better some of their backers, are less free about it. I know, my nation is one of those many adult games of Steam cannot be bought, with them blocking access to them. Which is a joke at my age! I am not that old, but definitely above 18!billys new look is not real right?
It's as real as the Hunter Biden laptop. Very real lmao.billys new look is not real right?
and this is a big minus. Playing as Lena is many times inferior to playing as Ashley. And Ian's playing is that if you don't fuck the girl, then jeremy fucks her.Her characters are much less caricatures nowadays.
Ehhh. I don't know about that. I always thought there was a weird disconnect in GGGB where the setting and characters were generally grounded, but then some characters would just kool-aid man through the wall from a totally bizarre fetish porno. There's plenty of games where you can have the "oh mah gawd I can't pay the rent guess I'll pay with pussy" gonzo experience. There's relatively few produced on a good release schedule where things feel semi realistic.and this is a big minus. Playing as Lena is many times inferior to playing as Ashley. And Ian's playing is that if you don't fuck the girl, then jeremy fucks her.
That would be awesome. But also the opposite can be super hot. Like if Ian can be a giga chad winning MMA tournies and writing best sellers and she comes crawling back. Then you pump and dump the bitch.ohh yess pls goddess gilian is the best hope ian falls in love again with her and gets his heart broken again
The gallery unlocker from first page still seems to work.Anyone have a save file with a fully unlocked gallery for the new version?
Thanks ManHi, I have played chapter 2 a long time ago (almost a year) so, I don't remember the exact details.
You can ask this question in Eva's discord server (link in this thread). People over there are super helpful.
Thanks, BM.The kiss was removed from Chapter 2. Perhaps Eva felt that it happened way too soon or that it made them seem "forced" together like some people have complained about months ago. And that kiss largely didn't have any story impact, because Ian's and Lena's "relationship" officially started only after their Chapter 4 date. Or maybe Eva didn't like how Holly was a third wheel in their threeway date because of that kiss and wanted all three of them to have "equal chance" so to speak... Maybe she'll reveal true reasons in one of the future Q&A's.
Yea, it's bugged. You need to use console to add will points.Anyone have issues with Ian/Lena not being able to gain any "Will" points despite it showing up on the screen?
That might've been true if it was merely a side gig for Eva, where the true passion / focus was on something else. However, it's not the case. Eva is doing it full-time and can only rely on Patreon's money. No matter how confident one can become in their fans, as someone who's reliant on their good grace, you never want to purposefully test their loyalty and risk losing everything you've worked on all these years and be forced looking for another job once again. Because after all, developing this game is costly. Colorist, composer, coder, other hired freelancers. If Eva's Patreon numbers go down, she won't be able to afford all those people anymore (which are involved in this project because they need constant income as well). And if that happens, the project is as good as dead because it won't live up to the expectations of having a better quality than GGGB without all of those people's talent. This is just a dangerous place, because when any human discovers they get similar money for less effort. That makes a difference. Its a flaw in the Patron system and lets hope Eva is not inflicted as many others have been.
Will be fixed in the Beta (already implemented).Anyone have issues with Ian/Lena not being able to gain any "Will" points despite it showing up on the screen?
Edit: figured it out, when the "Will" symbol pops up you have to click on it. Otherwise it doesn't get added to your stats
That pretty much sums up my opinion of this Update as well so for now I'll keep my Thoughts and not gonna write something until the Final Version of this Remaster is out! Thanks for that!A few thoughts after doing a couple of playthroughs:
Really like the new prologue. Firstly, I like the setting because it's so relatable; seeing someone sitting alone outside a club, wondering if you should talk to them or if they just want to be left alone. The fact that Ian decides to talk to her, makes their lives tied together because of an active choice, not just because they keep bumping into each other at the start of the story.
That scene, together with the new pictures and inner monologue about Gillian, also makes their previous relationships more actively involved in the story. Though I feel we now should learn more about the actual breakup between Ian and Gillian at some point.
The rest of the adjustments in the first four–five chapters overall work really well too, I think (though it's impossible to keep track of all the changes). For the last few chapters Lena's been the one using Robert, not the other way around, and now that's more visible earlier in the story as well. That also makes it easier to follow Lena's logic when she's having casual sex with Robert, but waits to have sex with Ian.
I also wrote earlier that Seymour's path would benefit from being slightly more developed before the scene in chapter 9. I think their rewritten first photoshoot managed to do that, along with the fact that Lena can now think about how the shoot turned her on, and that Seymour's powerful position in the city is talked about more. She doesn't know what she's getting herself into before their meeting in chapter 9, but she knows more than enough to give her reasons to back off if she's not intrigued by the attention he's giving her.
Also really loved that Lena's friendship (and eventual potential relationship) to Holly isn't as dependent on Ian as before. And Stan's path works way better now. I'm not that interested in it, but either way he's now a coherent character instead of changing from chapter to chapter because Eva doesn't know what she's gonna do with him.
Billy: I'll reserve my complete judgement until we know more about the reasons for his change, but I agree it was a big WTF moment. I support it if Eva doesn't want two black characters who's basically there just because of the BBC kink. But if that's the case, it would surely be better to have a more varied cast of coloured people from the beginning, instead of changing Billy the way she did now. I guess we'll might get an explanation after the final version is out.
