No, we wouldn't, because Eva would be still stuck with the writer's block.
but it was important for Eva to get the mojo back
Loool this guy...
Yeah she definitely got her "mojo" back...

Funny thing is, I noticed she keeps releasing the "Weekly Updates" every 8-9 days (if not more) instead of 7. We are currently waiting for "Week 9" update but considering how many extra days there are it should be more like "Week 11"

IMO the one thing that i think what makes ORS progress kinda slow is that Eva doesnt really trust hiring other people to work on some part of the game, like she doesnt really trust people to fully work on drawing and choose to done it herself, based on the complexity of the game, its really hard just to write the story of the game, but Eva combined it with Coding and drawing by herself, so yeah if she focused on too many things, its always require more time than just focusing on other thing...

At the same time i kinda get it, on why Eva doesnt really trust other people to work on some part of the game, on Art aspect, her game has that kind of uniqueness in its Art, so she scared that other artist cant deliver that uniquenes the same as she delivers it, the story aspect is the same, maybe if its not Eva, we wont ever get porn game in this kind of complexity, and if she give this story part to other people in mid developing, she doesnt sure if the new writer can keep up with the foundation of the story that she already build in all this years, and Eva too dont know if the new writer can makes the story as perfect as Eva had in her Imagination

if it wasn't for the rework we would be in chapter 14 or 15 by now. :(
The game is not finished. It is still in development. So it is always possible that the dev will want to go back to redo parts of their game, as it is not technically complete and open to changes. This is the nature of games in development. If this bothers you, than wait a few years until it is complete.

I personally like the rework. It's always nice to see a decent visual novel polished up and improved. I'm certain the improvments made in the rework will lead to something better in the future. In any event, there's no shortage of other VNs you can play while you wait.

I do gotta wonder how fkn big or small the next chapter will be in comparison with previous ones. If it will push more taboos like gggb or play it safe. With the last chapter being released over 8 months ago it just makes you wonder what the end product of chapter 10 would be.

It's going to be an ordinary chapter. EvaKiss only started working on it like 10 weeks ago so don't expect that much more content.

I have no idea if Eva works alone on the project or how much time she can work on the game per week.
Presumably, like many other developers, she will have to work a regular job to make a living.
...I take it you haven't seen the pricing and pledge numbers on her Patreon page. This is her full-time gig, likely bringing in euro equivalent of at least $14k USD monthly. She hires some help, but can definitely use more.

With that sum she sure's as hell can pay some help and still have some more money to live the good life.

Is this revamp a good revamp or a bad one? Like not worth the derailing from adding new chapters to the story.

$14k? I think it’s more like $6k only.

I'm gonna be honest, I love the idea behind this game's choices, the fact that you can have so many different paths, and I'd love to play a finished game which has these many brenches in its storyline, but I wanna highlight FINISHED GAME.

I can see a studio of 10 writers struggling to complete all the storylines within a 3-4 years time-span, to think that 1 dev is in charge of writing, drawing and coding with very little help from others is borderline insane and it's just a recipe for failure. I'd rather play a shorter game with the same fashion but without all these insanely articulated branches, than an half-project which may as well never be fully developed. Maybe I'm over exaggerating, but at this point we could have had a new GGGB.

And guys, whether or not Eva has the writer's block, let's not forget that the longer the story goes, the lenghtier every chapter becomes, development should realistically be esponentially longer as the story unfolds and we are currently waiting for the 10th chapter from a project that Eva herself believes can be 20 chapters long or more. This is not being hopeful, this is straight insanity.

I'm basing it on trends I've seen across patreon numbers to estimate the total. Some patreon devs like Eva don't show the totals they make per month. But some successful devs do. Analyzing the ones who do, the subscriber count x the second tier price typically comes out to a little over or under what the dev makes per month. The end monthly total is almost always roughly at or over that calculation if you need a Tier 2+ subscription to get updates on new content, as Eva's patreon requires (Tier 1 just gets GGGB). Even more-so if Tier 3 or above saves a week or more wait-time for updates than Tier 2. Eva's matches that as well, on to Tier 4 at the earliest Alpha releases. Do these devs I've calculated from routinely release monthly or bimonthly either? Nope. They tend to release at roughly the same extended schedule as Eva or longer, give or take one or two.

Yes, it's a guess. But based on the trends I've looked through, it's safe to say Eva's at least at around $13k a month and quite likely $14k or more, at least before Patreon takes their chunk.

Why did I even look into this?: Analytics are the best kind of anal when you're planning for a potential porn game.

Given, as one poster mentioned, I haven't calculated what chunk Patreon takes out of that. So this would be a general estimate of beforehand. Patreon may take up to a $2k chunk or more out of the subtotal with commissions, depending on Eva's plan level (likely plan 2 at 8% commission) and transaction fees, which vary from pledge to pledge.

I'm sorry but this is a laughable thing to say. One writer is more than enough for the story to be written, the real issue is that Eva does everything else as well.

Moreover, this is due to the fact that writing consists of two stages — inspiration and volitional effort. Inspiration exists as long as there is novelty to the work and can last, two weeks, a month, five, a year, but in general not long. During this time, the work spores well and goes quickly, the creative potential is laid down. Then there is a physiological process of inhibition and inspiration goes down, the stage of volitional effort begins. During this time, it is normal for the writer to experience difficulties, negative emotions, procrastination, etc. And Eva is undoubtedly a writer.
