Maybe that's a result of the creative divide between what the two protagonists each represent to Eva Kiss:Hopefully this happens. It is done decently with Ian: He is aware that he isn't better than Axel and feels genuine guilty, rather than gloating about how he is better than Wade.
It's ironic that Ian comes off better, even though he betrays one of his best friends, while Lena merely sabotages someones relationship she doesn't know and relate to.
Ian's half has more consistent development and balancing for Ian and his love interests in their respective routes, the focus on writing and meta aspects might also be indicative of Eva's desire to evolve and move forward as a creator.
Lena represents more of a holdover from GGGB: less consistent and less realistic characters and development to keep in line with the "GGGB 2.0" model that will be more appealing to old fans and keep patrons onboard with the typical porn-before-plot and corruption routes.
