Stop it guys. The game is amazing and her work is a masterpiece. With all the different paths and angles and how each and every choice effects the story, there is no VN out there that can match ORS. You can virtually write your own story each time you play. How many VN's can boast this? None.

Honestly the amount of branching is the problem tho. It turned the game from being a story with sex to a porno that sometimes gives more story. There are so many love interests that the story is snail paced.

It doesn’t help that most of the sex scenes (and soft core scenes) are usually just the same scene with 1 of 3 replaceable love interest models. I feel VN’s need to be properly trimmed and managed or you are going to have some branches not getting enough nutrients and start dying. At least to me that seems to be where we have been for a few chapters now and it seems to be getting worse not better.

I feel like this is a case or rose nostalgia glasses more than anything else. Most of individual plot lines in GGGB were basically devices for different kinks, with very little story content that wasn't directly tied to those kinks.

I think the story was good and subjective for different people..

GGGB story was handled well enough given the pathing. You had one main character and various other branches. While some intertwined here and there, for the most part the story was essentially how to handle Ashley: Make her successful with working a corp job (with or without being a slut), going into the modelling path, becoming a stripper, drug dealer, or jail/death. Semi simple.

Here though, we have two main characters, a over abundance of branches that at times is hard even for EK and her supposed helpers, to keep it cosistent. At first, this ambition wasn't bad to begin with. Now though? We see far more sexual content, that is reused scenes 90% of the time just reshaded or tweaked with Lena ad nausium, while Ian gets barely any scenes or screen time with the girls at all. There is no more balance as it was 3-4 years ago.

My guy in christ... 5 years ago I would have agree with you. Now? The game is borderline below average and her "work" is entirely run of the mill at this point. Sure there are all different paths that affect the story, yet I'm 5 years in waiting for one damn path to come onto the launch pad, with only recent times getting small crumbs of hope. There are quite a number of games that have many paths that affect the story that are on par, if not do a better job than ORS.

I think that's a bit too far tho. Is the game living up to the potential that the beginning had? No. Compared to most of the female protagonist tag games on this site it is still in the top percentile even tho it's obvious Eva is having a hard time with the story especially on the non Lena/Ian paths.

And whose fault is that? She's having a hard time on Non Lena/Ian paths because she has completely abandoned her proposed story in favor of trying, abietly failing, to make everyone happy.

She could have told all of her supports who were requesting and demanding things this: "I understand that you want to see certain things. And you will, however I very much want to focus on shaping this story as I see fit. While you may see less of some things, there will be varies things here and there I hope will satisfy some.'

Now, it would be likely she would have lost some money with that possible statement, but I think she still would have retained most of her supports and would likely have supported her even more had she stuck to her story. She didn't. And right now she is scrambling to try and save face with everyone. More Lena fucking every possible dude or chick possible to cater to the NTR/Cucks while shafting Ian with less and less time on screen and time with any of the girls.

Politely I ask name one that even comes close? I've literally played hundreds of AVN's and none come even close to this one when it comes to choices and a variety of paths. If you prefer to see one relationship more than another or you're not happy how one character has not been developed then it's too bad. There is enough of a buffet here to choose from and be satisfied with.

It's obvious that Lena/Ian is the spark for this game's creation. I think Eva just underestimated the amount of players who aren't interested in this pairing so now she needs to spend even more time developing the side relations to be satisfactory. I'm not interested in the pairing and it's not for any fetish/kink reasons. I find that pairing uninteresting due to how heavily Eva pushed it in the beginning of the game if you just wanted to play it as Lena being friends with him. I think the biggest hurdle Eva set up for her self is trying to make this game have 2 different protagonists at the same time and maintaining all the different branches. I think the kink focus is really just a crutch the dev uses while she tries to come up with an interesting story because she has experience with that from her previous game since it's easier.

Would Eva have had an easier time if she made a kinetic story where Lena always date Ian? Maybe. I know personally I hate when games force the mc to already have a significant other.

The reason Lena seems to get more in terms of content over Ian is because she grew her audience off of being able to play as a girl since her first game and Ian seems to have been a challenge that she set for herself since she thought she could tackle certain topics with a guy mc.
