How do we get Ian to get his promotion in chapter 13?
You need to pick the right book to recommend to your superiors. Depending on Ian's wits attribute you can get a bit of leeway there, but the right choices are to pick 2&4 and can the others, iirc.

TBH, she couldn't care less. You wouldn't even know that the book was published unless you are an avid bookworm.
I mean, Gillian is currently working at publishing house that'd handle it, so she'd probably find out.

"See, Ian, this book of yours shows exactly why we ended the way we did. Our sex life, it was as boring as this tripe."

Isn't Holly's publisher different? Gillian's working as a secretary though.

Yeah, but if Ian is a co-author then Seymour would probably throw his weight around to publish it instead. Plus, not sure if Holly's regular publisher would be keen to get involved with erotica, given Holly's previous works were some fantasy stuff.

I'd love for there to be a publisher who's actually able to tell Seymour to fuck off. There needs to be viable alternatives for players who want to avoid him. He can be a threat but he shouldn't be untouchable.
