I can only imagine the amount of writing and structuring Eva alone has to deal with. I can see her getting exhausted over the project. It's one ambitions project, but also quite dense.
it's a porn game, how hard can the plot be? i would argue that the hardest parts are programing and the art. you guys act like Eva is the next edgar allan poe or something.I can only imagine the amount of writing and structuring Eva alone has to deal with. To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Our Red String. The writing is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the nuances in dialogue will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Ian's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these characters, to realise that it's not just a porn game- it says something deep about LIFE.it's a porn game, how hard can the plot be? i would argue that the hardest parts are programing and the art. you guys act like Eva is the next edgar allan poe or something.
The issue with multiple protagonists who can make equal levels of decisions, is that it essentially puts the reader/player into two characters. I'm not just Ian OR Lena. I'm both. Which makes me have just about zero interest in pairing one up with the other.Well, summing up all 1357 pages in one hot shit take: I sure do hope Eva never goes for a 2 protagonists game again. Cause let's be honest, she DID write herself into a corner, and if there ever is a "chapter 11" it will be exponentially worse than chapter 10.![]()
What people don't realize is that even if those die-hard fans are right and Eva Kiss is indeed working hard on ORS (which in my opinion is preposterous), it is even worse for the destiny of the game.I can only imagine the amount of writing and structuring Eva alone has to deal with. Your graph is wrong, either time and results need to be swapped or you want a log line. What people don't realize is that even if those die-hard fans are right and Eva Kiss is indeed working hard on ORS (which in my opinion is preposterous), it is even worse for the destiny of the game.
If it is indeed much more difficult to make the next chapter compared to the last and that difficulty is really growing exponentially, basically it means that the game is never going to be completed and probably will be abandoned sooner or later.
Let's say that now it takes 8 months to make a chapter. It is safe to say then that Eva Kiss will need a couple of years to make, let's say, Chapter 12 and probably 5 years for Chapter 13 and so on.

In any case the future of ORS is bleak. The game is never going to be finished either because Eva Kiss has become lazy or because it has become too complex to develop.
What can go wrong if I put in two protagonists and let them build a fully intertwined and interdependent net of relations that keeps getting more complex on a logarhytmical scaleWhat people don't realize is that even if those die-hard fans are right and Eva Kiss is indeed working hard on ORS (which in my opinion is preposterous), it is even worse for the destiny of the game.

Well since ORS has quite a few years before being completed, don't bother thinking so soon about a next game.Well, summing up all 1357 pages in one hot shit take: I sure do hope Eva never goes for a 2 protagonists game again. Don't confuse simple plot with easy writing, you're condescending towards "porn" game. It's not a basic novel (kinetic) where you can change nothing but more like dozens of novels (branching) at the same time.it's a porn game, how hard can the plot be? i would argue that the hardest parts are programing and the art. you guys act like Eva is the next edgar allan poe or something.
I mean, I will put more effort than you did to your reading comprehension, but the number of variables she comes up in each episode certainly affects the pace of her writing. That's what I said. I have no idea how you fumbled it so hard.it's a porn game, how hard can the plot be? i would argue that the hardest parts are programing and the art. you guys act like Eva is the next edgar allan poe or something.
I honestly have no clue of what's going to happen, but I do know it can be a lot to deal with, as I mentioned in my first post. You either streamline the script and variables, or keep adding and dealing to what came before as she seems to be doing. Either way, I wouldn't want to be alone tackling something like this. What people don't realize is that even if those die-hard fans are right and Eva Kiss is indeed working hard on ORS (which in my opinion is preposterous), it is even worse for the destiny of the game.

Yup, dude had an aneurysm over nothing.Don't confuse simple plot with easy writing, you're condescending towards "porn" game. It's not a basic novel (kinetic) where you can change nothing but more like dozens of novels (branching) at the same time.
The people who wrote the lyrics to the game did a good job. Great game!Lena: "Big, tempting cock doesn't care about your feelings"![]()
Okay so Lena's part is 2/3rd done, meaning we can expect Chapter 10 in December and luckily not in January like I feared.View attachment 2126129

This week I've been writing and creating some new illustrations. I'd say Lena's part is around 70% done and this chapter has already surpassed the lengthiest one yet, Chapter 7, which had 22k+ lines of code. Chapter 10 will probably reach the 30k mark, but we'll see. I can see the end getting near and it's helping me stay focused and productive.
As always I can't talk much without spoiling things, but I can share with you the outfit remakes I talked about in my last post.

First of all, I want to make clear that the Athletics outfit is not meant to be worn at the gym, it's supposed to act as a casual/party outfit inspired by gymwear aesthetics. I had the feeling it didn't had that vibe before, and I wasn't using it for clubbing scenes. I tried several color combinations to go with the repurposed top. The hoodie will still be used in casual or colder contexts, so I'm not doing away with it completely, but it won't feature as prominently.
I'm currently leaning towards D, but let me know which one you think is cooler in the poll down below. Or you can also suggest a different color I haven't tried (edits are welcomed, you can send them to me through Discord)

Imagine we get the update around 25th of NNN XDOkay so Lena's part is 2/3rd done, meaning we can expect Chapter 10 in December and luckily not in January like I feared.
I'm gonna guess December 15th.

This isn't about Eva's patrons, it's about all patrons. Take DrPinkCake's Patreon as an example, DPC has been doing Chapter 9 of Being a DIK for 7 and half months and clearly he has no intention of making episodes shorter. The Patreon system counts that the creator has fans and those fans give money to them regardless of how long the new "product" came out. Eva lost some patrons just because she wasted time remastering the game, but if the remaster didn't exist and the time to make this episode was the same she would have fewer complaints here.I have no issues with the producer, it baffles me how low standards their customers have.
People get mad at you here if you just point out how long the Chapter 10 has been in the work.Assuming
1. the game won't be abandoned,
2. is still expected to be 20 chapters long,
3. chapter 10 to 20 have the same size (and not expending even further with every new chapter) and
4. no change in work pace,
we can expect 5-10 years further development, so the game is completed around 2027 to 2032. Optimistically a chapter doesn't take half/ a full year any more and the work is distributed, so it may take less years.
With the minimum patreon of 2$ (not including taxes) per month, this could be 120-240$ in total for a videogame onwards. Much more for higher patreon levels and not counting the money already spent until now.
The conclusion is that patreons 1. don't mind paying for years for a single game and 2. they pay way above what a videogame usually costs. Or a good amount of them are not aware of it and/or don't bother too much what happens with their monthly 2-5$.
I have no issues with the producer, it baffles me how low standards their customers have. When Eva asked if they should stop patreon until a new update is released, 80% refused and wanted to keep paying. There isn't a high concern noticable, if anything, Evas comments of her breaks and vacations are cheerished and encouraged.
I was on patreon and the discord for a while, but left because of the high amount of toxic positivity. Eva isn't regarded as a producer who provides us a service we pay for, but some glorified cool older sister that we connect with on a personal level and who we want to encourage and be part of her life throughout the games working process. This thread has its own chunk of toxicity and immaturity, but at least is more open to criticism.
This is not a correct standard to apply. If you just want to buy the game, you only need to pay once for the current version. A long-term subscription is meant for supporting the development, not purchasing a product. (With the addition of some optional rewards such as voting in polls).Assuming
