High wits and correct choices on publishing books. For the most points it's publish 2 & 4, but I've always nabbed the promotion with 2, 3, 4.

You need to pick the right book to recommend to your superiors. Depending on Ian's wits attribute you can get a bit of leeway there, but the right choices are to pick 2&4 and can the others, iirc.

Victor and his buddies, i intentionally fuck up Ian's promotion in the hope that in the future he could work with/for Victor.

Also Seymour is a shitty antagonist, yes he blacklisted Lena and she's poor (in my playthrough), but she gets by.
