Man could have literally just broken up with her, or been upfront about the fact he didn't saw their relationship as serious or exclusive when Louise clearly thought otherwise.
Jeremy kept his mouth shut because he was already able to get some with Louise and knew that the moment she realized what he was about that she would dump his ass (at least with how the characters were at the start of the game).
Also he does admit he "messed up" when chatting with Lena some time after Louise breaks up with him, and he also got his balls busted by the boys when the subject comes up in their group of friends ("it wasn't me"). You could argue Jeremy thinks he only messed up by getting caught rather than cheating in the first place, but I don't think he is on that level of sociopathy yet, just a bit shameless and trying to hide under the excuse that it was just a misunderstanding between him and Louise that he didn't correct in time.

Not only that but he admits he SHOULD have a talk with her, via Lena talking to him, but says 'I don't wanna hurt her' or something to that effect. Dude... You are hurting her by lying your ass off and fucking around with Allison AND trying to hook up with Ivy, and who knows who else.
Yes, but then he'd have to face the same drama and complaints over the breakup he ultimately experienced, while giving up on sex. I hope no one is harboring illusions breakup with Louise would be a clean affair. It's easy to see why from his point of view it was preferable to keep stalling.
(am not saying it was a good thing to do, but simply that with this kind of attitude the ultimate outcome didn't serve as any sort of a lesson -- the drama was going to happen sooner or later, so not having to face it sooner and having some sex for a longer while was a "win", if anything)

I don't think it's sociopathy per se, just a very typical level of selfishness you'll see in many YAs. Heck, in people in general. It could be argued Lena, Ivy, Mike (and even Ian) can display the same sort of self-centeredness where personal pleasure counts first and foremost, and no serious thoughts are given to how other people affected by one's actions might feel about it. At least not to the point of feeling some actual remorse and learning anything from it.

Just pointing out that's literally one of the defining behaviors associated with sociopathy. Growing to not care about other people's feelings is a natural progression from repeatedly making decisions that hurt said feelings.
But as to the rest, the point of breaking up with Louise (or having a discussion that would very likely lead to a break-up) is not for Jeremy to avoid drama, but to respect Louise's autonomy and right to decide what kind of relationship she wants to have. Louise feeling upset at a break-up is her prerogative as much as not wanting to be in an exclusive relationship is Jeremy's, deceiving her by omission and cheating is not.
Either way, this is not to say that Jeremy's behavior is unreasonable, it makes complete sense for the type of character that he is, but it is still imoral. I would just add that my read on him is that he is not imoral by malice (in the way the bigger villains like Seymour and Axel are), but just by immaturity. He wants to be a "player" but he is also not really ready to be a villain, he still seeks rationalizations that say he "isn't hurting anyone" or "it was a misunderstanding, not really his fault". Him being able to admit he was wrong in how he handled things with Louise is a little step, even if he is not ready to reform his ways.

ORS has objectively good writing compared to its contemporaries in the genre, and middling writing compared to writing in the gaming industry writ large. So it is doing well by that POV.
Where it loses me a lot is that it is ostensibly just a Soap Opera with a primary theme of corruption. The relationship dynamics of these very boring villains are only interesting if you like corruption narrative- if you don't they just buzz around like flies on shit in the game and there isn't really any interesting drama. "Young woman struggles to make money, but can easily do it if she becomes a whore" is about as basic as it gets in a corruption porn game- cookie cutter AF. Same thing with "weak-average dude struggles vs megachad NTR antagonists and the world to make himself better"- also hyper common. The intersection of those two common tropes I suppose are where the interest is supposed to be generated by this game...but I personally don't like Ian x Lena as a couple b/c I don't care for Lena. The personal growth / self worth elements to both sides of the narrative are very cursory and extremely slow burn compared to all the waffling about relationship minutiae and who cheated on who (yawn). From a kink POV- Lena's side is mostly corruption and shitty partners; and with the exception of if you want him to be a lil' cuck boy
, most of Ian's side is so painfully vanilla it might as well be an extract.I get why some people are very obsessed with the game- when I first played I was quite optimistic it would end up being cool- but as I played more I realized unless you like a few very specific things it is pretty damned boring.

My issue is 2 weeks between weekly updates twice in a row. It shouldn't be that hard to write a weekly update even if there was little progress made.

She just shouldn't call it "weekly update" anymore, just "dev update". A weekly report is not necessary anyway, at least once a month for patrons who pay monthly.
You're right of course, am just reluctant to slap that label because imo it warrants much more prevalent behavior, and applying it so loosely devalues the term.
I agree about the immoral aspect; i was simply arguing that because it makes complete sense for the kind of character he is, i don't think this was any sort of a lesson for him. For that matter, i don't think he actually means it when he says he knows that he handled things wrong. It's likely this is just empty concession to get Lena off his back and/or look better in her eyes.
