Imagine he would make video games (and for the sake of the argument decent ones). That would make him far more interesting and he had a lot more to talk about.
To be honest, i'm not sure if that'd really help, because --i'm trying to be objective here-- i feel that most of the stuff game devs get involved in and may want to talk about are very opaque to people who lack any first-hand experience. It'd probably isolate him even more from anyone not familiar with those subjects.

Ironically, he's already has a hobby that's fairly easy to show off and for other people to connect with, and that's photography. He just lacks social skills to interact with people and share that interest.

Yeah, this nails it. This was the point before we got lost in “bro just lift for baddies” land.

Stan hitting the gym because a girl told him to is like grinding XP in the wrong skill tree; yeah, the number goes up, but you’re still useless in the boss fight.

Ian’s proof that charisma, confidence, and actually having a life outside of the weight rack pull way more aggro than just showing off a six-pack. The gym’s a solid buff, but it’s not the main quest.

Otherwise, you’re basically the same NPC… just with higher-resolution biceps.

Yeah so Stan's a lost cause, at least in Lena's league. He has to fish into a lower league, even the bottom one

The conversation about the purpose of going to the gym in general drifted away from the original argument, that Stan isn't becoming a man just because he hits the gym - which he doesn't do it on his own resolution to build discipline and confidence, but because the girl he wants to fuck suggested it to him, so he just does it to impress her.
It is still perfectly relevant, though. Whether he starts training for "himself" or to attract girls, he (or a real life equivalent of Stan) is still going to build resolution and confidence. That's the point of lifting. It's the only habit you pursue which has a clear cut effects on your body based on consistency and progression alone. That's why is so damn popular.

That's not even talking about the effect of actively going to the gym, putting yourself out there and getting used to being in public and awkward positions for social skills in general.

Lifting is a solid waypoint to have in your life and to fall back on at almost any point.

Sure. It additionally has to do that he is creative and leaves a foot print in the world, so to speak. There is a reason to interact with him, because he has his own ideas and identity. Stan is just consuming stuff other people created. He doesn't have anything original to say or contribute that other people couldn't do as well.
There are uber drivers who get laid by clapping their fingers and they only leave a carbon footprint to the world. :BootyTime:

I doubt Stan being 'creative' and passionate about some fancy ass topic will make him more suitable as a date than not looking like a slime and smelling like one.

You mean like GGGB? That one with ORS "graphics" would be more popular.
Sure, it would be popular to the niche audience into niche fetishes that GGGB heavily emphasizes.

Though I'd argue that to the general populace that plays the 4-5 big AVNs with a yearly update? I truly believe Ian-only ORS outsells Lena-only ORS.

But yeah... All hypotheticals.

Maybe he'll catch Minerva's eye on one of those gym trips. She'd probably appreciate another boy toy to step on.:coffee:

sorry i am late to party.

so at the beach ian and lena either break up, become official, or become fwb(also break up). to remain fwb u have to have got over gillian though.

i have 2 questions. can ian and lena still "fall back in love" i guess, or is this setting their finale relationship. maybe im trying to rlly play the long game.

2nd can lena stay in love with him and their fwb/dating unofficially? i loved the dynamic of a closed off ian and then an in love lena.

anyways if giving up on lena is required for gillian....i will do what i must.

IIRC if Lena and Ian have been fwb through the game but picked romance options indicating they have actual feelings for each other, they can automatically turn their relationship into a official one during the talk at the beach. Provided they don't have romantic feelings for someone else (Ian/Gillian or Lena/Axel etc)

However i don't know if there's going to be option for them to get back together as a couple if they stop their relationship at the beach. Because the game hasn't yet been done past that point. So that'd be anyone but EK's guess, and only a guess.

All this talk about Ian and Stan becoming muscular and I'm just sitting here wondering where my muscle mommy Emma went. Why did she leave us?
