Dialogue may vary slightly and a few choices can be unlocked with a high chad level, though I'm not sure if exclusively, usually they can also be unlocked by high lust, charisma or relationship points. As pathetic of an imitation of the grand Robert he may end up, just trying to copy perfection can still net some positive results.

it's true, ian suffers from the "i'm a protagonist, i need to be a blank canvas for the player to imagine themselves in" problematic. however from all men in the game he has the most depth, so i can't agree with your assessment. especially since alison and cindy are also somewhat shallow and emma is decidedly shallow (though that may change if she wants to get serious with ian).

i guess i can understand that if the schedule looks something like "thursday evening the FMC needs a sex scene and i have 2 men who fit the bill." it does make sense to shorten the workload by rehashing frames. that way you can quickly do casual scenes, as the writing needs to be simple, and put more effort in more important scenes. but it shouldn't be any different if the genders are reversed.
for example cindy is very similiar to lena. to the point i caught myself calling her "the blonde lena". if i were evakiss i would have already used a cindy scene as lena and vice versa, either with axel or with ian. it is just advisable if i'm already rehashing scenes for the sake of having less to do.
