PilotLara, a user on this forum, is typically in charge of programming the gallery for EK. Typically though, EK will just ship an update regardless of where Lara might be on the gallery and the gallery will get finished in a later update. Things might have changed though. Last time Lara made a post about the "game dev" side of things she talked about how they were going to change their version numbers for release, but didn't really go into much further detail than that.isn't there a friend EK has that is doing the gallery for her ? maybe she is preparing that before launching the game, idk how long that will take so tomorrow maybe ? copium.
She just checked at Discord if the fanboys were angry or not. And then she saw that it was pretty harmless, so she can delay the update again until next month...She liked every comments under the last post. So status update or chapter release incoming.
50:50. Either it'll be delayed, or it won't be.Only a few days left of September, what are the chances that the update will be pushed into October?
In fact, this is entirely expected and logical, as releasing an update at the end of the month, just days before their subscription expires, isn't profitable for devs. It's more profitable to wait until the beginning of the next month to secure more subscription renewals. This is a rough example, but it's realisticto announce a delay to October

didnt they changed that and the sub expire 30 days exactly after you subscribed ?In fact, this is entirely expected and logical, as releasing an update at the end of the month, just days before their subscription expires, isn't profitable for devs. It's more profitable to wait until the beginning of the next month to secure more subscription renewals. yeah i noticed a long time ago that subscriptions expire not at the beginning of the month, but 30 days after the subscription date. However, ive had cases where ive subscribed in the middle of the month, and the subscription has already expired at the beginning of the next. I don't know what this is all about. maybe depend on devsdidnt they changed that and the sub expire 30 days exactly after you subscribed ?
o yeah, you are rightyeah i noticed a long time ago that subscriptions expire not at the beginning of the month, but 30 days after the subscription date. Isn't it up to the creator ? I think hers is fixed on the 1st of each month.didnt they changed that and the sub expire 30 days exactly after you subscribed ?
I think some people would be pissed and she'd for sure lose a few subscribers this time. I don't know if it's worth it for her, but I definitely thought about it as well. Hell, I knew it'd never come out at the end of August when September was just around the corner, but stretching it to October would be wild. Especially after saying she was playtesting at the mid-month mark.In fact, this is entirely expected and logical, as releasing an update at the end of the month, just days before their subscription expires, isn't profitable for devs. It's more profitable to wait until the beginning of the next month to secure more subscription renewals. funny how times change, when i said the same thing way back everyone lost their shit and went full white knight simp modeShe saw all the"YES MY SPANISH QUEEN TAKE YOUR TIME!"comments and dipped back to vacation mode.
There might be more truth in this than we think! EK was once a very reliable dev, but today? Hardly, postponement is following postponement. She saw all the"YES MY SPANISH QUEEN TAKE YOUR TIME!"comments and dipped back to vacation mode.
TD & GIL are S tier devs tbfThere might be more truth in this than we think! EK was once a very reliable dev, but today? Hardly, postponement is following postponement.
For comparison, another game I am very invested in does definitely update in the coming days. We already know it will have over 2000 renders, several dozen animations, a novella length dialog and has several specific paths (less than ORS, but still quite distinct ones) and despite this very sizeable update the devs are humble and even warn(!) that the update might be short on some very specific sub routes. And this "short" is very much in the eyes of the beholder, since even the shortest updated route will be longer in playtime than the whole update length of many other AVNs here.
See the difference? One dev brings out a sizeable update in his usual time interval range, EK sadly went into the long line of Devs who are unreliable. Many postponements, very mixed sized updates.
I think most devs fall into this trap eventually, once they establish a solid fan base they start taking their supporters for granted and they start making less and less effort hence why a lot of AVNs start off strong but then go downhill, they know patrons are an easy bunch to please, most of them won't complain and won't criticize no matter what happens, the only ones who do that are us the "free users" (me included) and as far as the dev is concerned we can all go fuck ourselves. There might be more truth in this than we think! Not wrong. Considering I did pay her for a time only to stop paying once the first set of reworks came out of no where.I think most devs fall into this trap eventually, once they establish a solid fan base they start taking their supporters for granted and they start making less and less effort hence why a lot of AVNs start off strong but then go downhill, they know patrons are an easy bunch to please, most of them won't complain and won't criticize no matter what happens, the only ones who do that are us the "free users" (me included) and as far as the dev is concerned we can all go fuck ourselves.
Just ask SerHawkes he'll tell you how much Eva cares about his prayers for IanxIvy.
Ian's friend Jeremy is trying to get with Ivy at the start of the game. It makes sense that it would take time for them to get together. That would be terrible writing if there was no progression to making Ian hook up with Ivy. We all know it's coming, why does it have to be rushed? Not wrong. The biggest issue with some devs is that they either surround themselves with certain yesmen and think that whatever harebrained idea is good for the game, turns out to not be a good idea. (Cough Cough DPC, Ocean, Braindrop, EK, etc.) Another issue is that you have devs that "want" to try and make everyone happy but instead listen to certain elements of the paybase and ignore characters and pairings that don't see the light of day other than a one off scene.
EK in this case has listened far too much from her NTR/BBC/Cuckold players and rewarding them over and over again with more scenes and stuff to boot, while neglecting characters and pairing such as Ian and Ivy, and other pairings, all for the sake of that fetishists money she gets when she appeases the vocal brain dead masses. As a result, the story drops in quality, characters get shafted in terms of screen time, and pairings have to wait another year or more before getting there turn, if that. IanxIvy is now going on 6 years without anything, inspite of EK "promising" and "proclaiming" it's going to happen or that the pairing was on the back burner all because she couldn't think of a way to impliment them. I can deadass come up with a manner for them to hit things off in a span of 5-10 minutes, and EK is going on 6 years? Yeah, at this point EK is literally trying to save this shitshow of writing and management because she got overallly ambitious with this project and didn't actually plan shit out and stick to her true vision of the story and listened far too much for the fetishists.
By around Chapter 6 or so Ian and Ivy could have started things bare minimum. Ian goes to a club, blow off some steam, ends up hanging out with Ivy and chatting her up, maybe hit things off to lead into things.Ian's friend Jeremy is trying to get with Ivy at the start of the game.
