There are some key differences between open_relationship=lena and open_relationship=ian. You can achieve the first one the way ffive described above. In that version Ian can punish Lena afterwards and proclaim that he still loves Lena which makes him still in love with Lena. Lena however will get lena_ian_love set to 0 which might indicate that she's not really in love with Ian but she still treats Ian as her boyfriend and recalls the night Ian punished her with delight and often.

To get open_relationship=ian, Lena still has to cheat at the club but Ian has to be cheating as well. Then in chapter 12 Lena has to choose to stop cheating and be loyal to Ian. Ian however has to choose to continue cheating. When Ian confronts Lena about cheating, Lena will act remorseful and won't ask to open the relationship. But since Ian is cheating too he can ask her to open the relationship. Lena would say that isn't what she wants but will reluctantly agree to open the relationship. Ian can then punish Lena but there is no option to proclaim you still love Lena. So Ian isn't in love with Lena on this path but Lena is very much still in love with him and is desperate to win his love back.

To be exact, this change isn't related directly to opening relationship. This happens if in Chapter 12 or 13 Lena's love variable was changed to 0.5. And this in turn, happens only if during her introspection about cheating Lena decides to either break up with Ian, or keep cheating.

If she opts to stop cheating, her love variable remains unchanged. However, Lena can still ask Ian to open the relationship if, despite her resolution, she has slipped up and fucked Axel before heading to the beach house. So, that's a way to get fully open relationship for Lena and Ian who both remain in love with each other.

Just coming back to this game now since version 13. I recall a post around August mentioning that the 14 update might have content split into two updates to get it out sooner. Is that still the case? Is there more version 14 content coming or are we good until version 15?

Nah, he can. At the very least, he can do the initial hookup, it's a different thing if he starts relationship with Cindy (and if anything, he's blocked from romance with Cindy if he's in love with Lena)

Ian's POV for this chapter is not that important. I also said in one of my previous posts that if Ian gets a snippet POV like Lena did during the beach arc is also fine. There are certain events lined up for Ian; he's meeting Gillian at the weekend, and next week is your 2nd round of MMA.

Now that you mention those events, I remember that Ian was supposed to have dinner with his parents, but it never happened.

It doesn't have to be short Ian's POC at this point. All of that can be a part of full Ian's POV which would be the next chapter, either picking up right at the heels of this one, or going back a couple days to provide Ian's perspective of (some) of the same events, along with rest of his own experiences.

It would be especially interesting to see him fight with someone if Lena decided to cheat on him.

Please no. I don't care about Lena's hoemaxing spiritual journey from Ian's perspective. Instead of going back let's jump forward preferably to the part where the skull smashing starts .

I guess when first thinking about these chapters, it made sense to have an Ian-centric chapter with all his side characters, and a Lena-centric one with hers. The problem is that Lena’s characters just aren’t that interesting because they all revolve around corruption arcs or sex scenes. Ian has his childhood friends, Holly, and Lena herself — all characters who exist outside of their sexual content. Lena, on the other hand, has coworkers who mainly serve the plot as scene setups (Billy and the photographer), Ivy who’s just portrayed as a slut, Jeremy who’s basically just a BBC stereotype, and Mike whose whole angle is the cheating taboo. They’re all built around kinks. Lena’s friends are so uninteresting that Eva ended up introducing a bunch of new characters and even giving the old guy a ton of scenes.

I think it depends on the player. For some (mommysboi), Lena's route is better than Ian's, even though most of her events are hoemaxing, aka corruption. On the other hand, Ian has his path of being a cuck loser or personal improvement to become a better version of himself, and whether they want to admit it or not, that's more interesting than anything Lena has done or will do in the future, in my opinion.

Wtf, Louise is not even love interest to Lena, she has the hottest lesbian scenes in the game and Lena just discards her for boring self insert(the only lesbian path in the game btw).
We got some hot Emma scene, but it does not look like a romance, but maybe in the future and there is a nice girl this update that might be discount Ivy or something(why not just give us Ivy romance for both MC's?).

Lena can fuck Jeremy but the conditions to get the scene are weird and inconsistent. Ian can fuck Cindy during the relationship and after opening the relationship. It's a bit tricky though. Just don't let Lena find out about Cindy from Ivy else Ian and Lena break up in chapter 12.

Well, there isn't really much to say. Lena is more kinky with other women than Holly. I am hopeful that the two of them can get something more interesting now that their relationship if finally, finally, established.

As for any other options I am unsure where either Louise or Ivy will go. Ivy could go full rivalry mode or even get a romance, either seems possible. I am a little bit curious if there might be something with good Jess, given how we can influence her in regards to her fiance's. Eli is another maybe option.

Issue with both Eli and Jess is that Eva said in a response to one of the Q&A questions recently that all cameos exist only as additional content, so she won't focus on any one of them in detail unless there is time to fit it in somewhere.

That leaves Zarina and Emma for now. Zarina seems added specifically to have a kinkier lesbian or bisexual option, hard to tell if she'll be a genuine one. Emma I predict to only be casual but I guess anything is possible. Given how much time Eva spends on other dual-protag options I am unsure if we should expect equal focus between other options and the character they haven't been focused on, for example Emma being mainly an Ian LI and Ivy being mainly a Lena LI.

Any other options seem not very likely currently. Alison and Lena have yet to really interact and Lena's only ever been able to lower her agenda with Cindy, as much as I wish they would get content. Cherry and her story with Lena has only been brought up a couple of times so even if it goes anywhere in the narrative I wouldn't expect sexual content with her.

There may be a path for this, with Ian who has only recently started to fuck Alison and keeps doing this taking advantage of newly acquired open relationship status while he's with Lena. But it's admittedly very situational and probably not something many players will arrive at.

Showing it in Axel's face would be fun. Since Eva hasn't really developed this storyline in a while I don't really expect anything like that though.

And Ian really is spoiling for options when it comes to female companionship. Maybe Ivy will turn into that for Lena, who knows, but I too would have liked an additional female romantic option for Lena that was clearly a route since the early game. It's been basically Holly or broke for les romance.

There are some indications that Lena/Holly could lead in such a direction. At least in their sexual scenes Lena have generally been leading though Holly has also been shown as growing bolder, so who knows where Eva takes it. It would also be a contrast to Lena/Ivy and even Ivy/Holly where Ivy is more clearly the leading partner to both.

I personally prefer characters like Jessica/Louise instead of Eve(GGGB)/Holly, someone you can fix instead of the other way around i guess.
Holly is just boring to me, don't get me wrong i like her scenes and all that, but her exploring her wilder side is just not that appealing when i can already do that playing as Lena(and its way more advanced).
Louise on the other hand is messy af, same with Ivy.
Imagine if Eva added some jaded milf you can seduce, that would be kinda new, they gave us another older guy for her(yay for people that enjoy that i guess), but how about sugar mommy instead?
