Do I have to remind you that Ian knew Holly before either of them knew Lena and that Holly wanted to sleep with Ian? Holly invited him to go with her, and Holly "messed up" their sleeping arrangements, and it was Holly that kissed Ian FIRST!

May I also remind you that Lena is so protective of Holly, she lets her sleep with Ivy and encourages her to sleep around with other guys that Ivy suggests... some protection.

Ian actually cares about Holly as more than a piece of meat as they have the same interests and... most importantly, IAN AND LENA WERE NOT A COUPLE AT ALL!

Shortly after all that bullshit happened, Lena calls up Mike, who has a girlfriend, and has him over to her place and fucks him. The next morning Mike left early and Lena finds out that Jeremy, her best friends boyfriend and Ian's friend, is sleeping in Louise's room, so Lena sucks and fucks him as well.

All through this, I have to endure the bullshit dialog of SIMP Ian being in perpetual guilt for fooling around on his fuck buddy. Ridiculous! I ended up holding down CTRL and speeding past most of the dialog lately as it is utterly ridiculous.

As for how well Holly "can take getting cheated on", that is irrelevant as Holly admitted to both Ian and Lena that SHE THOUGHT THE TWO OF THEM WERE INTERESTED IN EACH OTHER, yet she PLANNED to have sex with Ian anyhow... and why not, HOLLY KNEW IAN BEFORE EITHER OF THEM EVEN MET LENA and was interested in him first!

Again, the dialog is utterly ridiculous, even if our woke writer has plans for the future, the dialog is beyond annoying. I am on the verge of deleting this game and moving on as I am all about a good story, and this is turning into a really poorly written one.

At the very least, Ian should have raised the fact that Lena was sleeping with Robert, that is one he knew about. Perhaps bring up her hypocrisy in all of this and the fact that he knew Holly first, and him and Holly actually have the same interests and Holly hit on him first and he treated her well. He certainly shouldn't be apologizing to what is a FUCK BUDDY at best! Very annoying and insults the reader.

Yeah it's obvious that Holly has a crush that Ian's oblivious to at the beginning of the game. Jeremy's a sack of shit so any inconsistencies regarding his route isn't surprising to me especially since you can warn Louis about him to try and spare her feelings in one route .

That's why the backgound of the mc getting cheated on in this game is so massively underwhelming is because there are routes where they can turn around a do the exact same thing when they know how devastatingit can be.

If Lena didn't sleep with Robert, he just calls it unfair, but if she did he says it's not different from what he did. Which is pointing at supposed hypocrisy. He doesn't literally call her a hypocrite but you do have the option to point at her apparent hypocrisy.

While Ian and Lena can cheat a lot, at least in Ian case it starts to have consequences and he is forced to decide between ending love relationships or stop cheating with some exceptions. In Lenas case, it is questionable how she can still fuck 10+ people in one run and don't commit to anyone aside Ian. Supposedly its the nature of her relationship that she isn't serious with most of them, but she really should start commiting and ending other relationships. She does it with Ian, but there are still many flings that can still be go on and it can be seen as a writing inconsisty, either voluntarily by Eva, or involuntarily if the many choices and paths just overwhelmed them.

She can try and commit to Mark (the DJ, damn I hate that there are two M names at the club), luring him away from his girlfriend. It just blows up in her face. And Holly, though I don't know if you can cheat on her (though I imagine you can at least with Seymour, since that can happen in the Holly Trinity route). Axel seems like he'll become a romance at some point, for those foolish enough to follow that path. But yeah, she doesn't have great options for romance.

Besides, in these kinds of games sexualities are often technicalities that are easily ignored. Eva has the very typical "straight until you bang a chick" and "lesbian doesn't count for cheating" attitudes to f/f pairings so I don't really see any limits besides how much any character interacts with another. Alison, Minerva and Cherry would surprise me as bi options simply because they don't really interact with Lena.

Yeah, EK definitely leans into the 'woman are like spaghetti, straight until wet,' worldview.

I have thought about creating my own visual novel and adding in some humour into it. Like when someone wants a serious talk and then have the *DEV* suddenly comment with something humorous. I even had the idea that a character would avoid something common and annoying and not do it then have the a *DEV* comment appear where he says "someone's getting an extra orgasm in the next scene"

Which scenes are you refering to? If its just a hookup, it usually isn't much of a deal. If its the start of a romance, then that question often leads to several options (Heart option, staying casual, ending the relationship).

Isn't there a difference between a one night stand and fwb or whatever it's called? So, it's logical you won't talk about sex with the person you fucked only once and don't want to again and it's logical to talk about sex with the person you have regular sex with.

Well, it never happened in my life. When I first met my wife, and when we first had sex, it was totally out of the blue, she was single, her fiance up and left her and we were just good friends. One day she showed up at my door and we had sex on the spot. I don't know what prompted it, and we never did talk about it, and we were married a long time.

I had sex with my wife's older sister (before we were married or dating), I walked with her to her friends place, and we got drunk, and smoked some weed, ended up at my room. I was doing the gentleman thing and was going to let her crash on my bed and I would sleep on the floor, only when I came back from the bathroom, she was in bed, covers pulled back and legs spread. Fucked her, never talked to her about it for the rest of our lives, though I did tell my future wife about sleeping with her sister before we got married (told her about everyone I ever slept with, so you know, no surprises)... I'll never forget that as my wife couldn't stop laughing at the thought of it. I slept with a childhood friend I grew up with, a random hookup when I was visiting relatives in town. No conversation about it to this day. I think you are the exception to never talk about it. It doesn't have to be involved, or soul-bearing, but even a "That was fun, we should do that again" can put the ball in their court to either agree, or discuss it in more detail. Also, just as an AAR it's good to communicate. Find out what the other person likes, dislikes, etc.
