Cindy and Wade always break up. However, if Ian helps them, they do it amicable. Its also possible that they get back together in the future. If Ian helped them, Cindy shows concern for Wade and is less inclined towards Axel in chapter 13, so she may refuse Axel in the long run and go back to Wade.

I dunno, I don't really play his route myself, I'm just going off the thought that cucking players can usually lead to negative reactions which I imagine Eva would prefer to avoid. We all like different things and I assume at least some players might want to play the Axel route where Lena is into him and his whole deal but also his only girl?

I think it can be argued that, much like players signing up for Louise experience, people who go for Axel are well aware Axel isn't going to be faithful to Lena -- he never was in the first place, and he makes it bloody obvious both to Lena and the player that after their breakup he doesn't even view her as a relationship partner anymore, just a willing cock sleeve that he's got wrapped around his finger, using their previous emotional and sexual connection.

In a way, it's like going as Lena for Mike. Lena might have delusions of romance going as far as hitting heart options left and right, but Mike will fuck Ivy regardless (and tell Lena she was stupid if she thought he wouldn't)

I had the impression the charisma option was more like the wits option when dealing with Cindy - instead of being obedient to the girls until they break up with Ian on their own because he doesn't put on a stance, with these options Ian sets boundaries and forces Cindy and Louise to reevalute the relationship. Louise may start to stop clinging to him and take the relationship step by step, instead.

you can fuck around but you'll miss scenes that way. Even if you stick to one guy/girl, you'll probably (?) miss scenes because there are variations to some of them. Like kinda different if you are say on a love route, or just fucking. That's why this game has such a big replayability.

You get most scenes if you commit to one girl. If you juggle, sooner or later Ian or they will break up, though cheating and open relationship is possible to an extent. Some scenes and variations are even only possible if you don't date them from the get go.

Going by the game's script, Ian/Louise has 3 modes:

default ian_louise_dating = 0             # Ian agrees to start dating Louise (2=real relationship/1.5=lie to her/1=take it slowly)

That said, the "going slow" which is activated by Charisma checks is effectively stringing Louise along. Ian in his internal monologue makes note that he will make decision at later point if he actually breaks up with the other girl he's dating (if he is dating someone else) and for the time being Louise is just "useful backup".

Imo the very reason it's different attribute tested in these checks (charisma instead of wits) is because Ian has quite different goals in these two scenarios. With Cindy, the Wits Ian was working to have a genuine relationship. With Louise, the Charisma Ian is working to avoid getting "trapped" in one, but keeping Louise as someone he can still fuck without being forced to go exclusive and to give up on the other girl he's currently dating.
