No I'm talking about their background story
Ah. Like i said then, i think it works as initial setup for the two leads to come together, and it offers lot of variety in how things play out in the game.

I'm saying that because I recently played the other game called Artemis, and the protagonist is undergoing a similar phase to Ian's and Lena's, namely having trust issue post breakup (although in Artemis the situation is whole another level f up). I just feel like having trauma due to ur partner cheating on u is rather cliche and in Artemis at least it's more creative and original.

It's not a dig at ORS but just how I feel. I mean cheating is a main theme in this game, both Ian and Lena got cheated on by default, and in game there are sooooo many options to cheat but some are somehow considered ok or acceptable. So I guess cheating is just a focal point in ORS.

I mean, dealing with possibilities to cheat (and how you choose to deal with them) is a basic part of any relationship, so it's not so much a focal point as a normal element of what's ultimately a slice of life story. Now some games (of harem variety) skip that altogether to protect player's ego/feelings, while some other (of NTR variety) do make it a focal point, sometimes to the point of it being unavoidable, but in ORS this is more just part of the whole narrative package that you can play with to craft "your" version of the story.

But what I like about ORS is the portrayal of male friends around a male mc. In many other games it's as if they are non-existent, just the mc and a harem of girls, occasionally with a dumb wingman like Derek in BaD.

Maybe it didn't happen in your playthrough, but it can happen in others. Which means within in this game, Lena, Ian and Holly all have the potential to be more promiscuous than Ivy. It may very well be, that outside the game Ivy is fucking around, left , right and centre, but so far the evidence is all circumstantial. Whereas, with these three we can actually see it.

For instance, it's possible for Ian to have sex with Gillian, Lena, Cindy, Alison, Emma, Cherry, Minerva, Louise and Jessica in a single playthrough. Whereas Lena, can have sex with Ian, Robert, Mike, Axel or Jack, Seymour, Jeremy, Holly or Mark,Louise and Ivy, plus another guy she meets at Blazers, and give Marcel a BJ. And then Holly can have sex with Mark, Robert, Lena and Ivy, plus gives BJ's to about 5 or 6 guys in a gloryhole. Ivy on the other hand has sex with Lena and Holly, Mike out of picture, and gives Jeremy, plus one guy in the gloryhole a BJ.
bro. lena and ian are the MC. of course you're going to see what they're up to. but that does not mean they are more promiscuous than ivy. it feels like you guys just skim through the game and don't read it. ivy is the corrupter. you think someone whose sucking jeremy off in front of his girl, takes holly to a glory hole, tries to convince lena to do only.fan, offers lena drugs, encourages her best friend to just fuck someone to get over axel, tells lena to use her body to get what she wants from the cafe boss, the list goes on. if this is actually what you believe, youre not paying attention to the game.

Ivy is a corruptor, she can be a morally corrupt person without being more sexually active than other characters. Corruption isn't only looked on how much "body count" you have, but your thoughts, behaviour and what are you willing to do to gain what you want. Lying, blackmail, persuade someone to do something bad. The perfect example are Ivy from Poison Ivy movie and Kathryn from Cruel Intentions movie. Ivy seduces her friend's father to cheat on his wife, wife dies "thanks" to Ivy but her friend takes her down(FMC) and Kathryn makes a bet with her step brother to corrupt a virgin(FMC) and in return she will have anal sex with him. He dies at the end because of Kathryn. It's safe to say that corruption failed here because he had fallen in love with FMC. So, I'm laughing my ass off whenever there are games with corruption of FMC because a woman can be much more vicious than a man when she doesn't get what she wants. It makes me think that those FMC virgin games make Devs who are barely adult.

Wut? Derek is a hugely integral part of the narrative of the game. Has his own relationship and the problems that come with it that the MC can help him with. And there is quite literally an entire fraternity of men that the MC interacted with and helps.

Derek is also probably the smartest character in BaD, he just doesn't apply himself because school votes him.

The bros in BaD exist to be undermined by the MC. They all have issues with their girlfriends and MC can swoop in or, if he feels generously, help them.
While Ian can do that to his friends as well, he is far more limited and not everything is in his control. The dudes around him pursue relationships on their own.

Idk if this against the rules for being off-topic, if which it is I apologise and this can be deleted no problem.

But I've gotta say, I'm not sure what game you're playing where the bros are "undermined" by the MC. The brotherhood and shit you get up to with the DIK's are some of the great moments in the game. The MC does get put into more a leadership role, but that's just the case for a lot of MC's in games. They get put in charge. He doesn't really undermine anybody that I can recall though. He get's pushed into it by his brothers.

As far as issues with GF's, only 3 of them are in relationships out of like 9. And two of those end with or without the MC's input, you have NO say in it, they will break up. (and you can only do sexual things with one of them if you want to) as for the 3rd, they probably have the best relationship out of every couple in the entire game and will never break up with each other. So again, Idk what you're talking about with "all having issues"

And the DIK's are in a frat, so It's not really suprising that most of them wouldn't be pursuing relationships, most of them just wanna fuck around. But again, some of them are (without any input from the MC). Like Rusty is trying to get with that Micha Chick rather hard, Derek trying to get with Ashley, Tommy and Nick both wanting Heather. They ARE pursuing things, without having to ask the MC.

So yeah, no idea what you've been playing. :ROFLMAO:
