Here it is at last! The alpha version of the new chapter covers the first two days of the three that make up Billy’s event, told from Lena’s POV.
This update has been a real challenge for several reasons, though I guess every new release has its own hurdles. In this case, the toughest part was structuring the events in a coherent order, choosing which scenes to include, figuring out how to develop them, and ultimately deciding which ideas had to be left out and how to shape the ones that stayed in. I’ve tried to bring out the best version possible of what I had in mind, but in the end, I’m not sure I’ve managed to do full justice to the ideas floating around in my head.
I’ve tried to take into account the kind of content you all voted for in the last polls we ran a while back when putting this update together, though a few things ended up left on the cutting room floor (which I hope to include in the next release), which Patreon doesn't allow me to cite in this post, so you'll find it in the .txt file attached with a list of the main spicy scenes of this release.
I would have liked to include more art in some scenes, and the cosmetic modifications are a real pain to implement, and they stretch out the whole process of creating and editing the images. But in the end, I think it’s worth it, and I want to keep including them.
Anyway, I could keep rambling about the process behind this update, but I’d rather let you play it for yourselves. I’m a little worried it might not live up to expectations after such a long wait, and that the content might feel a bit light, but I guess that’s the nature of the beast when it comes to branching narratives. I hope you enjoy what’s there, exploring the possible paths and interacting with the characters.
I’ve gone over it several times and there shouldn’t be any glaring issues, but as always, a few things may have slipped through. You might run into a narrative inconsistency or a bug. If you do, please report it on Discord so I can fix it as soon as possible!
In a few days I’ll be releasing the revised Beta version, and I’d like to add some extra content for the final release if the artwork pipeline allows it. I hope you enjoy this update, and I’d love to hear your thoughts and feedback. Thanks to all of you for your interest, support, and patience!
P.D.: I can’t wrap this up without thanking Lara who, once again, has been a huge help with proofreading and testing, and even rushed to put together the gallery all on her own. I’m more and more aware that I couldn’t possibly carry out such a massive project on my own without the community’s help, so my thanks go out to everyone who has contributed!
