Is this going to be updated? for some reason dialogue box is all messed up.
Same here (freshly downloaded game and mod)
I uploaded a fix for this issue on Discord.

also getting errors on pool game, I dont know if its because of the mod tho
EDIT: if you get the error, just clic ignore, then rollback, you will be able to play the minigame
I looked at the files that got changed and there might also be errors with the books for Ian. it requires a lot more work so I'll fix it in the next version.

For some reason I can never get this mod to work. I tried extracting the files in my game folder and an uncaught exemption occurred over and over again. It wont even let me play the game. I ignore them and it closes the game.

So I dragged the folders out of the mod folder. For instance on most games it wants you to drag those files from that folder into the game folder so it can overwrite the scripts or images as needed. So I tried that and it still won't let me play the game. Can anyone help me figure out what the hell I'm doing wrong.
It looks like a bad install.

You should delete your persistent data (FAQ in the OP) and follow at Samovych Hydzinski's advice.
You can also find the instruction for installing the mod in the OP:

My dude I'm not a moron. I followed the instructions to a T and even followed that advice of deleting and reinstalling. It's just a broken mod for new players.

No one knows you or you set of skills.
So just be cool, he answer your questions didn't he ?
He could have let you dry out there.

So stay calm and serene and be respectfull.
he didn't answer my question. It's a broken library for new players. Instead of investigating an issue that multiple people have reported he chose to assume every single one of them did it wrong.

I figured it out. No I didn't have a bad install or anything like that. The issue was the folder named ORS JDMOD 0.10FINAL.a.7z. Once it was downloaded I would extract that folder then move it to the game folder like you said. That would cause my game to crash. After me trying everything else. I removed the subfolder in there named JDMOD to my games folder and just deleted the now empty original folder named ORS JDMOD 0.10FINAL.a.7z once I did that the mod started working.

Its amazing I have to write this, but one of the first lessons you learn when troubleshooting with users is that always assume they know nothing. Start with basic troubleshooting, and work your way up. Customer service 101.

No one treat you as such.
you most certainly do when you assume i installed it incorrectly.

Did you read the first line of the post you were responding too?
I uploaded a fix for this issue on Discord.
You can find a link to my Discord in the OP and the bugfix in the bug-reporting channel for ORS.

I call this a bad install because I've written in the instructions that the extracted folder is named 'JDMOD', not 'ORS JDMOD something', to prevent this.

I use 7zip to decompress zip files. I believe the default mode for it and other such utilities is Extract here which results in only the 'JDMOD' folder being extracted. I even highlighted this in the gif.

Please let me know if I'm mistaken so I can clarify the instructions.

Hmm the text boxes are all over the place despite the mod working as intended somehow. I tried both fullscreen and windowed, deleted all saves and reinstalled the game. Any idea ? (F95zone UI hides the text on pic 2 if you don't see it)

hi, sorry, I have to pay the patreon to download the mod?
I publish the new version in Early Access for patrons. After a week, the post becomes public and anyone can download it.

I update the links in the OP whenever I can. More info is available on this subject in the FAQ.
