I love the Graphics style, i loved the story, i love the memes.
It's really great, it really is.
This, in my opinion is one of the GOAT's like Katawa Shoujo, FET, WVM and so on.

This game isn't just a game to beat your meat to, you can do that sure, but i 100% guarantee you, you will be more satisfied with the character development, the story unfolding and the as i said, lovely art style.

Please, please give it a try and show Story Anon how much we appreciate a PROPER, fun, beautiful nsfw-game.

I'd rather only play this for the rest of my life then half of the games some people upload on here.

I HATE THIS GAME. I haaaate this game so much. Not in the same way you normally would hate something. Because the game is SO GOOD. But as a porn game it's sooo god damn annoying because there's so much good dialogue and story that it stops you from actually skipping it to the "good part" thus me losing the "urge" I feel whenever I do decide to play games on this website. So it makes for a bad porn game BUT at the same fucking time the actual porn on it is also really freaking good that it still makes for an extremely good porn game when you actually get to the porn. The problem is getting to it since the story is actually legit good and now I'm just repeating what I already said.

Amazing game, I hate it and I love it at the same time. I have never had so much mixed feeling from a game before. But still gets 5 stars from me.

After spending about 3 weeks in Out of Touch I think It's perfect time to write a review.

Most AVNs are narrated from protagonist's point of view for better immersion which makes you feel surrounded by love from bunch of hotties. Out of Touch is absolutely different case. Still remaining focused on MC (yeah, yeah, harem game, keep it your mind) OoT expands the narration across multiple (all?) LIs. And it's fucking awesome! It kills twothreefour birds with one short: A) Filling the plot; B) Characters development; C) Relationship development; D) More hot renders with hot girls. Well, it can prevent you putting yourself in the place of the protagonist, but... Why you should?

Such a concept requires some effort in writing to keep it all together and hold your attention. And yeah, Story Anon is really good at this. Conversations between characters, characters internal monologues, exclamations and bawdry. All of this make story alive. I've also noticed that, particularly, the Volume 1 has several keywords: care, belong, family. CJ used the family word so many times that I wanted to open game files and rename him to Dom Toretto. But honestly, I enjoyed this NLP.

Not only words tell you a story. The graphic part does it too. Renders are made in Koikatsu, but I've never seen such camera work and image post-processing in AVNs before. These camera angles and visual effects have important part in storytelling too. Out of Touch really looks like a psychedelic movie or anime.

Sweet renders should have sweet girls. So, they are. Finally, Koikatsu-based game with 18yo girls, who LOOK LIKE 18 YO! And they are different! Cute little girls I LOVE LEAH, extra THICC girls I LOVE LEAH, girls with strong back muscles I LOVE LEAH, and well-balanced girls but my heart belongs to Cro.

Besides appearance, all girls have likeable and different characters (with one common thing). Well, maybe some of them are over-dramatic, but if we dig deeper into their story we can find the reason.

What about story, Mark? Well, game overview says that Out of Touch is something between melodramatic teen comedy, psychedelic thriller and existential horror. And it's true. Started from weeb in a good way melodramatic "teen friendship problem, the story goes through deep paranormal thriller with a lot of references to Greek, Celtic or Japanese mythology and after that lands in hot lewd stuff. Someone says, that "initial" part of story is too long. But I totally disagree with that statement. Firstly, a moderate pace of narration helps to develop characters better. Secondly, this "initial' part has a lot of hooks from future events. During my second "playthrough", I've facepalmed myself with a scream HAHA It makes sense now! Moreover, from Volume 1 to newly released chapters the story has picked up pace noticeably. And I feel myself really excited about this.

Lewd stuff? Uhhh... It's not animated, like in the most of AVNs from F95... Ugh, come on, Koikatsu animated sex doesn't have anything special! Animation is replaced with more appreciable things: camera angle, dialogues, visual effects and... music?

Yeah, music! Out of Touch wouldn't be itself without amazing soundtrack. Dope synthwave and catchy future funk tracks arranged in their right places. Original soundtrack... I cannot find words to describe how awesome it is. LI themes fit their characters perfectly. Aine theme... Tears are still welling up when it plays in my mind. But it's not about sadness. It's about... I dunno... Delight?

For now the only thing I regret is turn-based combats. It should be presented more. Boss fights will be a great addition to story. And game script has a lot of insertions connected with combat system.

What should I say in conclusion? Play Out of Touch! By Story Anon and Snow

When I played this I had no idea what to expect but hour after hour that I played I became more and more enamored with it. It takes a bit to get into the real meat of the story but when it does it's something incredible.

The characters are all really likeable too and it does a good job making each of their situations and conflicts interesting and meaningful. I never thought I'd be able to point at big-titty maid triplets and be like "yeah really like them" in way other than just being sexy.

Also some pretty cool music, Aine's theme escpecially.

And finally I love pseudo-spiritual vibe of this game that's infused with just about every aspect of it, it's just got a really unique *feel* to it.

An indie ero VN with a goofy premise made me cry twice in the span of a few chapters 10/10

That's all anyone needs to know but I will continue with details below:

    - Music
The music in this game is top notch, I can not stress enough how good the tracks in this game are at establishing mood in a given scene. The scarier scenes especially are more intense than you would find in some dedicated horror VNs(on the crowdfunded indie market at least).

    - Writing
The writing is good, it has propper peaks and valleys between lightharted and intense, emotional moments. It also builds suspense very effectively.

    - Plot
A bit on the thick side, it's fair to say that for now it's a bit obtuse because it's building mistery but I'd be sad if this never stops, continuing to stack lore untill it suffocates.
The quality of the writing and the fact that so far the plot has been internally consistent with no glaring holes makes me hopefull but having become so invested in these characters I can't help but worry as well.

    - The h scenes
You won't find me complaining that they're not animated or that kind of stuff, they're good because they're vehicles for character development and because they flow naturally into story beats. They have the right kind of effort put into them exactly where it counts.

    - Characters
Looking past the fact that they all want to fuck their only male companion, the friendship between the characters is very well grounded, the way they react to the drama and conflict that surrounds them is believable.
The designs themselves are cute and the characters emote well in scenes.

Out of Touch - A truly unique game

I'll be honest this was a game that I didn't see coming. I went into it thinking it would be a the usual harem game with a male protagonist that can do no wrong and every just accepts the harem idea as just common. I WAS WRONG!!!

OoT is fun ride that feels real, despite the occult parts. The characters may at first seem stereotypical, but when the story really starts going, you realize this isn't a quick flaw fix. It dives deep into the psyche of trauma and shows that there is light at the end of the tunnel.

But don't get me wrong, there is plenty of levity as well. Fourth wall breaks, silly moments, and a very oblivious hero make for some great moments. Also a quick FYI, at the end of every volume, do the recap. It is absolutely hilarious.

The part that I can say threw me off was the narration style. If you are like me, you are used to one narrator, usually the protagonist or a single third person. It was a different experience here, with all the characters trading off POV narration. To be honest when that first showed up around chapter 3 or so I thought that I was dealing with another mislabeled game and almost quit. I am so thankful now that I decided to give it a few more chapters cause the game really started to shine.

If you are tired of playing the same old cookie cutter harem games, want a game with some story, and are willing to explore something new, this is the game for you. If you are looking for a quick fap this is not the game for you.

    Easily a 10 out of 5 stars

Awesome game. Little light on adult scenes but the writing is great and honestly it's just a fun story. Only gripe I have with the writing is that sometimes it feels like the conflict is forced, but then again this also tracks cause most the characters arent the best at talking to eachother.

    This thing is ANIME AF

As in, this could actually air as an anime. Everything feels absolutely right and the pacing is completely on point.

The best part is? Since it's an adult game, there's no "will they or won't they" drawn out through ridiculous moments. That being said, it's not a porn game. While sex will eventually occur, it's on the eventual side of things. The characters are real characters so lewd scenes happen appropriately.

Going back to calling this an anime, it's a harem story set at the end of high school, and it very much feels like it. Do not come into this thinking it's without the melodrama and teenager exploration of emotions. Think of the times in anime there's a miscommunication and people feel bad, it's all here. Luckily, it's not drawn out for two whole seasons and typically resolves in a very satisfying way.

Included with your setting drama, is the anime action and over the top story. It can become wildly fascinating with all the conflict that's well beyond the melodrama, in fact, it makes the melodrama far more understandable than just typical teenager behavior.

The existential threat is comes across and very intense and psychedelic. It can feel so damn surreal at times and as a result, absolutely captivating. It's an extremely unique feeling that honestly makes it all very special.

At first, I was surprised the game decided to use memes the way it did. It certainly disarmed me, but it did not prepare me for what I was going to read. Sure, it's funny and self-aware, but it's also very serious at times. At this point, the meme aspect is pretty much gone and in it's place is a story worth your time.

Something to note: You are more like an entity that helps this harem along rather than the MC. In fact, you don't get as many choices compared to other games here. This is perfectly fine for me, but if you wanted to be more in control, this really isn't about that.

Some gripes: The skip button doesn't always work on dialog that I've already seen. During the free roam sections, I often checked each zone if there was something I missed after doing a side story. Unfortunately, any repeated dialog is treated as something new. Some sort of indication would be nice.

I'm honestly super impressed by this one. It's far better than I anticipated, and damn... The music choices are perfect too. It's super unique and refreshing compared to all the generic/royalty free music you often hear (I can't really blame devs for doing it, but I appreciate when it's new to these games).

I hope this dev gets more attention and $$$ for more ideas/production. I can see the potential for more, on top of everything being pretty damn awesome as is.

This one is pretty easy to grade in my eyes. 5 out 5, I mean damn Story Anon delivers a great fucking Anime game here.

Now if you are not into Anime it might be a little too much for you as the story and the characters take center stage while sex is almost secondary. Wait isn't this a harem game, how could sex be secondary? and All I can say to that is I don't know how but someway Story Anon has made it work.

If you are like me and also are somewhat worried when you see a Unity tag, don't be! the dev team have done an awesome job in making a user friendly game!

The characters and models of out of touch are a credit to the writing and dev team, so far each girl feels different to the other girls inside the harem. Except maybe Jamie and Mizzie ;) I think this is a huge achievement especially in a harem game where every girl has to have the same love interest, in the MC.
Now maybe not as important as the things addressed above but for me the music is another selling point. The OG music is very impressive as well as some of the remixes that are in here!

    The one slight negative...
Animations for sex scenes, for me at least that was one negative because the models look so good that animations would probably make this a god tier game. I have gotten over it, but I hope that maybe the dev team will do a refresh update where the add animations to the scenes that have happened or hell add animations to future updates.

I came in with about zero expectations and was blown away by a well written and genuinely heartfelt story. You might not like the cosmic horror elements or the slightly dense male protag (and even then dude's got layers, a truly vast oceanic soul) but it all comes together and makes you root for their struggle so much more.

The story is great, the memes are great, the music is an absolute banger.

But honestly my biggest compliments are for the team and their support, I had a world of trouble making the game run (my own fault, don't use blank folder names for your file paths) but they worked at it for 2 days with suggestions until one of them spotted the issue.

Its a real work of art coming from an absurd storyteller.. its great.

Real talk, I thought this story was just going to be a series of dumb memes after the first couple of chapters, but I stuck with it because of the high overall rating and the fact that I liked the art and character design.

The truth is that it takes a bit to really get rolling, but the story actually slaps, and the over-the-top memeyness is actually a story element that is worked into a deeper and more serious narrative rather than the whole gimmick. I'm excited to see where it goes as I continue playing and it continues getting updated.

Edit - I did continue playing it, and it did continue getting updated, and it only got better from there. I can't give more than the 5 stars that I gave before this edit, but I would if I could.

Dismissed this this along time ago, BIGGEST MISTAKE I EVER MADE!! The story was WAY better then I initially gave it credit for. This story is worth the look. In the description they mention world going sideways when they all meet up again. Oh yeah going sideways is putting it mildly.

I gotta say, this might be one of the best experiences I've had of this genre. The game has brought me to tears multiple times in multiple ways. The comedy, the heartwarming moments, the melancholic moments. The writing has just been a pleasure to read through.

The world that the game is set in is also genuinely interesting and I can't wait to see the lore of the universe fleshed out.

Each character has felt unique and exciting to see more of. A lot of times with these types of VNs, I end up enjoying Character A, and finding it a slog to get through Character B's story to get more of A. I've never felt like that playing Out of Touch, not a single time. Every character is a blast to learn more about and have on screen.

I can't wait to see how it all progresses, and I'll definitely be doing my part of sharing this game with others.

(Big Hall & Oates fan too!)

I mean, I hate being harsh on something that is free. It uses models in screenshots sourced from Koikatsu, although it lacks the animated sex scenes that most Koikatsu games have. It runs in unity instead of Ren'py, because the developer decided to remake the entire engine from scratch for a really undercooked JRPG sequence a third of the way through the game, which is never revisited or expanded upon. Unfortunately the JRPG sequence is the only part of the game that is animated, and it really has amazing animation, but it lasts only a few seconds and is never revisited and feels completely removed from what is otherwise essentially a very linear visual novel. There is an "explore the world" sandbox element that is thrust upon you once in a while, but it's only there to allow you to miss some minors scenes or content and/or skip some expository dialogue as there is no branching story, decision making, or gameplay.

The choice to go with unity instead of Renpy means that the game is missing tons of the quality of life/convenience features you might expect from a visual novel of this size. The decision to animate the ONLY fight in the entire game when none of the sex sequences are animated, repeatable, or available in a gallery, goes to show that this game really is an experimentation by the creators instead of something they have approached with a concrete plan to produce something quality.

Unfortunately, the story and characters are also poorly designed and written, although if you find yourself impressed with Dragon Ball Z, 50 Shades of Grey, or Pokemon fanfiction, you may find the writing compelling. The story begins very clearly tongue in cheek in a comedic harem style, but quickly drops that tone in favor of attempting to make you feel some connection to cardboard characters who primarily seem to cry in an attempt to get you to empathize with them before having progressive sex sequences where a group of women join you in discovering extremely convoluted and virtually nonsensical "lore" of a fantasy/science fiction setting that seems to have been made as the game progressed without much of a common thread other than justifying very cheaply that your harem have some deep spiritual connection to you and that's why they are okay with all doing various sex acts with you.

I can't help but think that the developers would have done a better job if they decided to commit to making a visual novel that is comedic. The elements of other styles of play detract from to the experience, undercooked as they are. The writing drastically falls off the face of the earth after the prologue when the game shifts from the comedic to the "serious," as the writer is neither skilled at world building or at creating believable characters that you can feel actual empathy towards. The fap quality is not very high, as there are no animations and there is hours of content to wade through for a few still sex scenes with no gallery, although they aren't bad as at least they are posed well and made with good koikatsu models.

Unironically one of the best VNs I've ever experienced. Story and characters both engaged me and even the memes in the story's premise made me chuckle. Even without the porn I'm intrigued, and that takes some skill. Godspeed man.

    Version: v2.0.1 Public

Story: The story is quite gripping and actually touches on themes and ideas that are fascinating. It is a very over-the-top and bombastic Anime-style but things stay consistent in-universe, and there aren't too many leaps of logic.

Music: The music is surprisingly good, in that vaporwave sort-of-way. It adds a lot to scenes and some of it is just motivating/hype-inducing.

Content: As of this version, 28 chapters are in the game and they're often quite considerable in length. There isn't a ton of "lewd" content, but that actually probably works to the games benefit. It is definitely a bit of a slower-burn, and the story is (currently) fairly linear, but that's not necessarily a bad thing if the story is good, compelling, and interesting. Which it is.

Originality: Not quite sure how to grade this. It is bombastic and Anime-as-fuck, but it is still fairly original, even when employing the usual tropes and memes of the genre. It uses and subverts tropes in about equal measure to keep things from being too predictable, but it doesn't try too hard to be too "lolrandom".

Came in expecting porn, got slapped with really dark opening like a jock swinging his dick in the shower room, and then Chad Thundercock embraced me lovingly into the wonders of this game.

This is a game that makes that 80's sound it's loving cumdump, character and outfit designs that would fit right in with the likes of David Bowie's crotch and Freddie Mercury, and renders produced at such speed and quality each update it makes your GPU sweat thinking about it.

While RIP AND TEARing is currently limited and simple, given everything else those should only improve in time while we experience our loveable shonen idiot become a god.

Amazing story. The story take priority in this game, and the buildup to any lewd content is well paced. Lewd scenes feel earned and real. Amazing character development. Absolutely love this game. Can't wait for more!
