I disliked Leah a lot less after her arc- knowing why someone is a bitch makes them easier to take, and we saw more of her funny and sexy sides. Knowing she annoys herself as much as she annoys the reader makes her more believable.
That being said, she's still my least favorite of the mains. She is definitely good for the story though.

There are those who find that scene incredibly funny and will die on the hill that it should be left alone and not edited out. I am not one of them. It's supposed to be a joke but it's out of place, misleading to what kind of VN/game this is, and the picture style is a one off for the sake of trying to make a funny joke. Although you shouldn't skip it because the story elements are crucial.
With that being said - that's the only time something like that appears. The rest of the story and pictures are very good and the sex scenes (which are slow burn but then make up for lost time) are excellent. Some of the best I've ever seen.

well i'm of the mindset of skipping the rest of the vn TBH.
as a joke this is not funny.
if this is the writing and storytelling that is expected here than i'm not really missing much of value.
i know there are people with weird sense of humor and power to them.
but this is neither funny nor am i interested in a story this appears to be.
these two statements contradict each other significantly.
The reason I put so much effort into that part, and spent hundreds of dollars to get a well known voice actor to voice it, is because a big absurdist set piece at the beginning acts as a really good filter for humorless dickbags with a negative post-like ratio.
The game is unapologetically weird, and if you can't handle that you won't get the rest.

eh, this was definitely not an instance of 'woke' objection to comedy. nzn did not express any sort of outrage at the contents of the scene. He just thought it was dumb and/or out of place. I think it is important to remember that not every criticism you witness is motivated by the ideologies that you oppose. Sometimes it's just a case of incompatible humor, and that's okay.

well then i have to wonder why this barrier of humor isn't in the first post. would save everyone involved a decent amount of trouble.
the like to post criteria is an interesting one tho. especially since facepalms do seem to count as likes, for inscrutable reasons.

honestly you sound a little insecure with the ad hominem commentary.
there is nothing wrong with being unapologetically weird, but you have to expect people to that brand of weirdness offputting.
humor is different between individuals much less cultures and continents meaning that some things you find hilarious others will likely think just awkward. there is nothing wrong with that either.
i'm pretty sure some of what i find funny would elicit a groan from others. same with everybody else.
and on the internet you have to expect some people not to be from the same place as you. that is kind of the entire point of internet...
Had to google a bit about woke seeing as i'm not from us and thus don't think about woke, toilets and transgenders 24/7 (don't worry i won't vote for your favorite boogeyman or against your preferred saint). an interesting bit of trivia though:
not really a point just found it funny. not entirely sure what in this game or the discussed scene is anti woke or woke however.

didn't you read the devs posts? it is a litmus test for enjoying the game.
in all reality if this was skippable and not a herald of things to come i would've skipped it and got on wit the game but bgoing by the comments here it is neither so here we are. sadly in light of recent developments in the world my doctor recommended to cut down on cringing so i can't really continue.
as far as ridiculous humor i find there is a time and place for it. however if i was to take any of this story seriously it can't be there, at the very beginning. and if i wasn't to take any of this story seriously then i would not likely enjoy it.

honestly based on the response of the thread i have my doubts. but that is just me
i'm only technically skipping them as i'm skipping the rest of the game.

thanks to all responses. you did help me make up my mind on skipping. if this is a discussion you had countless times and you would like to avoid it in the future you might consider posting the litmus test on the first page. dev notes are a good place for it IMO
