Do we know how complete the game is overall? Like is the game about 60% or 70% done at this point? I'm tempted to start over because there is so much I don't remember, and I don't want to stop in the middle again.

100 chapters is the plan, and this next release will be chapters 50 and 51. So we're literally right in the middle.

Yeah, these guys appear to be a different kind of dev, and they already have the full story mapped out. This is one I'm confident won't be abandoned. It's too dense for the average consumer in this market, but for those that can get invested in this story, it's impressive for any medium. Better than 99.9% of movies, series, anime, novels, and video games out there - and sexy to boot.
I hope this game begins to get the attention it deserves.

This game is so fully, so whole heartedly, so passionately about love. Its not shy about it. Not coy. The love on display here is powerful and emotional and true to the very core. It is the kind of depiction of love that is so rare to see in media.
...I read visual novels very quickly because I am a strong reader, and easily get wrapped up in them. I'm going to finish this before the week is out. Just play OoT again, and spot all the obvious foreshadowing the second time around.
By that time chapter 50+51 should be out for patrons which will be another 3-4k renders on the pile for you.

Unfortunately, I have read and habitually read a LOT of Tv Tropes, and am hyper aware of plot beats and narrative direction. The foreshadowing in OoT is really just giving the astute reader all the important information very early. I'm actually kind of stunned how not clever Oot is about a lot of things.Which is a good thing, It's actually really refreshing how not convoluted it is compared to others of its ilk. Being simple gives it all the more time to be stylish as hell. The rule of cool is in full force here.
But yeah, re-reading it immediately sounds terribly dull, thanks for the suggestion though.

They're not "about love" the same way OoT is, but Sierra Lee's games are the only content I know of that both match OoT's writing quality, and include a lot of warm, cuddly sex. If you're good with RPGM games, give her stuff a look.

I was really looking forward to a response to the request for similar games. I appreciate the recommendation, but I was hoping for something that wasn't the hand-drawn look. I'm going to try out Crimson Gray since it's been recommended to me in other areas, but I really wish I liked the hand-drawn look more... if there's any other recommendations in a similar vein I'd still like to see them
