Great job... talking with her in every location is one of the requirements for a future scene. (just like helping the redheads at the very begining).Post-Chapter 7 comments
(and that's probably it for tonight)
Second half is an extended date between CJ and Victoria, and of course I hit all the locations and dialogue trees and had CJ kiss her at the end like a man. Though in inspecting the City Center, I did see one line of text I hadn't seen before. "Since the 2050's Kamogawa has been built up..." Wait, what year is this again? If we're in the back end of the 21st century shouldn't the cell phones be a little more impressive?
...wait what do you mean there are dozens of more chapters?
You're almost to the end of the intro arc at least!Well, that's the end of Chapter 7. All is well and I'm sure they live happily ever after as all conflicts seem resolved and a bright future lies ahead. Short game, everybody, but sometimes a story goes only as long as it needs to go and-
(Aide rushes up and whispers in ear.)

This is a fun read, sliiiiiiight spoiler about ashley youre wrong about her being the fifth, another guess?Post-Chapter 8 & 9 Comments
Well... that escalated quickly. We pick up right where the last chapter ended with some sweet words between Victoria and Leah, then go to a fine sight indeed.... Jamie's ass!
No, but I do admire Jamie for actually pushing CJ on the “so is Victoria your girlfriend now” question. But I had no idea it would lead where it did, that is to say with Jamie watching as CJ summons Sky Daddy! Well, well, well, now Jamie knows that CJ is amagic persona person experiencing magic, sorry that's the preferred term. But whatever comes of that is going to be in the future, because we have a lot to get to.
CJ has five rings, which almost certainly represent the five main girls: Victoria, Jamie, Leah, Teresa... and I suppose, Ashley (more on that in a second). Sorry Sarah, but I suspect you're not a ring girl but something different. There's definitely some kind of past life/other incarnation thing going on where CJ has to earn the eternal love of these five specifically, as their “whole being is your domain, not these fragments”. Sorry other girls who aren't them.
That doesn't necessarily mean we can't get sexy scenes with Lindsey of the huge boobs or Julia or whatever, but they won't be with CJ who is aonefive-women man.
But there is something interesting here. Sky daddy implies that these rings representing true love are not unique to CJ, though most people only have at best one or usually none. Then Sky Daddy has to correct himself on the number of CJ's rings. “4, er, 5.” So two thoughts on that:
1. Will we meet other characters who have rings for each other, unrelated to CJ and his harem?
2. Here's my theory. Obviously there's some kind of past life/incarnation thing going on with these girls and CJ. Or at least... most of these girls. My theory is that four of the girls are from this magic person past life/other incarnation thing... and then one girl is a new soul he met in this life as CJ and formed a connection with and got an additional ring from, which is why Sky Daddy got confused. Most likely either Teresa or Ashley, but I think Ashley.
Mostly because it would be hilarious if fail-girl, try-hard Ashley who the rest of the group barely remembers... she didn't make the big reconciliation scene and at the train station CJ added her as an after-thought to the people he and Victoria wouldn't want to leave behind... if Ashley had nonetheless through sheer enthusiasm and effort to fit in had managed to become the fifth One True Love of this nascent god boy and his pre-existing harem of four soul mates.
Yes, Ashley has forced her way into being the fifth ring because she is the best worst girl, believe it!
Anyway, if it didn't feel like we got enough magic, in Chapter 9 we get a lot of magic.
JAMIE: W-what's going on? (Jamie speaks for us all.)
CJ even meets his creator (Story_Anon) and wow isn't that a trip, But he also meets some other people. Four voices in fact.
Voice 1 – Sobbing, not even identified as Voice 1 but ????, this voice says very little. My theory is that this is the Ghost Fox, the figure pursuing CJ that Voice 2 claims wants to swallow him up completely. Ghost Fox seems like the Ghost of Mountain Fox, desperate to get her man back. But... do we believe Voice 2 when she claims that the figure pursuing CJ would trap him forever, or is Voice 2 making a move to prevent CJ from talking to Ghost Fox. Do I really trust Voice 2?
Voice 2 – Knows a lot, very concerned with CJ, claims to have grown up underwater, but is not one of his ring-mates. I think this is Sarah.
Voice 3 – Revealed to be Jamie, but a version of Jamie letting her inner girlhood fly.
Voice 4 – Red fox, willing to fight ghost fox but still exerting her claim to CJ. Seems an awful lot like Kieran to me. Is Kieran possessed by red fox and that's why she acts like she does?
Anyway, a lot of revelations to the characters these chapters. Here's hoping Jamie makes them talk directly about the magic stuff. CJ make not be a thinker (as the narration is constantly reminding us) but Jamie most definitely is, and she's also willing to push on the hard topics even when it would be easier to let them drop.
Could... could Jamie actually be Best Girl? I'm sure that's a constantly and hotly debated position. And yet.

it's basically kinetic novel. doesn't need one. all "next step" is marked in gameIs there any walkthrough mod or something similar?
Looks like it so far, with Khione being the nuttiest and least powerful and going in reverse order in terms of power scaling/crazy bitchYou don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

I disagree about mostly everything and dont think Khione is the "weakest"Looks like it so far, with Khione being the nuttiest and least powerful and going in reverse order in terms of power scaling/crazy bitch
I never mentioned anything about Elinath or Nile. Personally i think Nile is overconfident and will get his cheeks clapped for comedic relief in the coming chapters. I meant in terms of how they measure up to each other, Hebe is the most powerful, followed by Auxo, then Carpo and finally KhioneI disagree about mostly everything and dont think Khione is the "weakest"
I dont think the goddesses got corrupted by Nile as Nile (as a shard of Elinath) didnt existed when Elinath started this quest/journey to rescue the goddesses.
It would be kinda too weak of a plot to and absolve the girls (goddesses) from every more questionable and tragical act.
I think it was Elinath who created them "flawed" or made a decsion which did lead to the "breakup" of the divine harem and now hes trying to fix that shit
I know, i replied to both of you, the part to you was the part of me thinking that they are not really different levels of power (khione, carpo, auxo, hebe) and more like four aspects of reality/life and equal but with different roles/responsibilitiesI never mentioned anything about Elinath or Nile. Ah, i see. It's hinted several times in the story that hebe is unfathomably powerful, even compared to the other 3. And (i suspect) there is a theme here regarding their ties to the seasons and that the closer to death or its auxiliary concepts or themes they are/the closer to life or the beginning of life they are their personal power varies in one direction or the otherI know, i replied to both of you, the part to you was the part of me thinking that they are not really different levels of power (khione, carpo, auxo, hebe) and more like four aspects of reality/life and equal but with different roles/responsibilities
Its directly stated at one point that Hebe wants to usurp/become CJ. That leads me to believe that she is in no way an ally of the main cast or even a sympathetic figure like Auxo. You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.
iirc in one of the anniversary streams storyanon said he's constantly tweaking and adjusting the character models, so they definitely do change over time.I am in Chapter 40 on my first play through and am I crazy or has the art style changed since the start of what I presume is the Theresa arc? Sarah just looks really off to me now. I play for the excellent story so its not a deal breaker and I'm sure I will adjust but was there any sort of announcement around the time of this release about a change to the art? Am I imagining things?
