I've been playing entirely because of the renders at this point
I want to say up until maybe a bit after like chapter 30 or so, whenever Jamie's main arc was, I was pretty invested in the story
But ever since things have just been increasingly...nonsense
honest to god I am trying to follow but just...man
for me the game's completely hard-carried by the extremely high quality renders (a staple of anon's work, tbh)
I just wish I actually enjoyed the story, because clearly a lot of effort's been put into it even if I struggle to enjoy it lmao
I'm at Ch 51 and just... I won't lie my eyes are glazing over the text a lot
Edit: Hit Ch 52 and holy shit Jamie W we're so fucking back boys I'm instantly locked back in

First time I played through I just took in what I could and enjoyed the cute relationship things and Jamie scenes.
Second playthrough though it all of a sudden with the beenfit of hindisght clicked and made way more sense, and Jamie even bester girl.
First time I am doing a full second playthrough. Are there things being changed? It has been a while and I can't remember some of the earlier stuff. But it feels like some things have been changed.
Is it like one of those games that make small changes if it sees the previous data?
Since I don't see a reason for Leah to call Keiran Sarah so early. That is a massive reveal in the late 40's maybe even the 50s. Its a massive foreshadowing that wouldn't make sense without context.

No changes except for the obviousley new renders in chapter 0. We're all just aparently that clueless/forgetful.
I mean Anon's stated he thought he was being too unsubtle making Kieran and Sarah's hair the exact same model.
Hopefully these revelations don't cause CJ (yes I'm still calling him that. Hayato be damned) to not have relations with Sarah anymore. Since she looks like Rebecca.

This is gonna sound troll as fuck, but you kinda have to play like 15 or so chapters, and then you might get a grasp on some of wtf is going on...
If you go browsing this thread for answers, you're gonna get MAJOR spoilers that aren't revealed until much later on. So I would advise doing what I did at least, play through 10-15 chapters. And if it hasn't interested you enough by that point, it's probably not for you, and you can drop it. At least IMO.

Depends on what you mean by "missing".
If they were entirely absent, but the characters are still there, then Id say you had an issue with the download or the file transfer after unzipping the folder. Im assuming you've updated, rather than DLd the entire game and moved your saves over. Try updating it again and see if that fixes it.
But if its totally black, no character assets or anything, then I would wonder if you skipped an update or two. In that case, you would need to download the entire game again, as the update only contains the most recent chapters images. For example, if you skipped 50 and tried to DL 51, after finishing 49 chapter 50 will be blank. Ive seen someone do that before.
Finally, and most simply, they weren't missing, it is was simply the trippy locales this chapter goes to that gave you that impression. This ones a "did you plug it in" kind of error. I mention it not to be insulting, because we've all done such a thing more than once.

I think this was probably my favorite free roam section so far. It's kinda like the Star Trek, idealized post-scarcity society, but dialed to 11.

I didn't get that vibe at all. It is describing the far future when all the stars have burnt out and the last civilization remaining around the last remaining star uses an advanced intelligence to preserve what the universe used to be like. It is remarkably bleak - i.e., despite all those technological advancements and societal progress, the universe still has a finite lifetime and Hebe exists across its fathomless entirety intervening for unknown purposes at various points in space and time. Meanwhile, Ashley just wants her creampies ...
