Since you mentioned Hana, I have something of mini-discussion start for you: When playing the Hana path, it is clear that she and her Dad have big problems on the personal level. (Bit of an understatement) That helping repair or sabotage this relationship further will be part of the player´s tasks is clear. But what I find even more interesting is that there is a rift or it seems to be a one, between August and Kath regarding Hana. Kath (and Warren) want to fully pull in Hana, wheras August really cares about her in his own way. Seen quite nicely when you have to solve the problem with "creep Teacher". Looking forward to how that path moves on.

I doubt we will take part in fixing or sabotaging August-Hana relations, why would we? As for Kat's attitude towards Hana, I'm not sure what to think of it. I'm guessing that for Kat Hana is a possible exploit/weak point/leverage when dealing with August but she's also a threat since she might inherit August's part of the club. Kat isn't concerned about Ian (another possible heir) since she thinks he's an idiot or someone she can easily manipulate but Hana is rather independent plus she does stunts that might expose the club and ruin such perverted business. It's been hinted that she would like to corrupt her but because she's August's daughter and she knows he cares about her their hands are tied for now. Warren wanted to fuck her to fix her attitude but Kat said it's not that easy but with her love potion everything's possible.

Carnations are special for their respective events. There won't be any change/additions and I doubt the game will go long enough for another round/year. But Kathleen did tell the bodyguard (who's name eludes me) that she sees a way to get to Hana through the MC. So it'll probably depend on how you play your cards. And looking at how others fare (the teacher, the drug dealers assistant, etc.) she'll most likely still be in for some shit if you make it happen.

I agree that we will likely not reeled in too much into the dynamics of August-Hana relationship, but if we play with the Hana path active, a couple situations/events to chose our stance might happen. Because in my opinion the talks with August and Hana and that we can gain positive points for both during the "creep teacher" event seem to hint towards, not all that many, but a couple of decisions to choose.

I see it similar as you, the for Kat Hana is both a threat (she is the likely heir to August´s part of PC) and a chance (to get control over the whole club). Warren actually did not only want to fuck Hana, but to get her into "full rotation" working in the club with the other girls, no matter if she stays in a leading position or not.
Kath on the other hand would like a corruption of Hana more, doing these things willingly, because the heavy-handed version of Warren "fixing" Hana would alienate August to the point of him becoming a danger. She has clearly her hopes set on Ian (to a very lesser degree) and the MC (to a massive degree) of getting Hana corrupted or at least "lightened up" enough, so she is no problem for her naymore.

New Dev Diary today; the fate of Chapter 3 Update 2 is revealed!

Hey, all. TD here.
After some careful consideration, GIL and I agree that it would be in the best interest of the project to release the update next month. I was the one who was initially resistant to the idea, but after taking a look at the outline I realized that I could shift the chronology of events around a tad and still keep (narrative) momentum between updates, while also making room to comfortably expand some extra Mina/Hana stuff in both this update and the next. Fitting all the character development required to believably get to the game's conclusions into a four week timeline is daunting for an amateur like me and is currently my biggest concern with the project, so that helped me come around to GIL's side of things.
Since we're here, I'll make this a progress report. We are currently at 1691 images and 96 animations for this update with the end in sight. Just one last small event to conclude the update on and we'll make an announcement on the specific release date. The update following this will be smaller in scale (we won't be trying to squeeze content of this update into the exhibition update) but I think you'll find it a substantial installment.
Thank you all for sharing your thoughts on this, and of course for your patience, understanding, and support as well. Please look forward to the update, we hope you won't be disappointed with it.

The bad news is those of us waiting with bated breath for Felicia's event will have to wait a little longer.

The good news is that those of us eagerly awaiting Veronica and/or Rosalind's event (or just advancement of the story in general) will have our chance sooner than previously anticipated.

But obviously the most important news is that those of us eager to see how things are progressing get more numbers! In between weighing the pros and cons of an early release, our devs managed to pump out 151 static renders and 16 animations - an average of 16.8 statics and 1.8 animations per day. That brings their overall rate up to 83.4 static and 4.7 animations renders per week since work on Update 2 began. Behold the upward slope of their progress!

I'm not sure exactly what constitutes a "small event," but it's probably on the order of a week's work or less (say ~110 statics and 12 animations). Adding time to finish coding and test and we're probably in the ballpark for a mid-August release. That's still a rough estimate, but there's not much point trying to be more precise when we should have better info soon.

Releasing the fragmentary update early was not my preferred course of action, but as long as the devs are comfortable with a smaller release to finish up the loose ends before the exhibition, I think it will work fine. If it doesn't disrupt the flow of the game once finished and puts less pressure on them to trim down the Mina/Hana material TD mentioned it could even be a good thing. Our devs haven't steered us wrong yet (IMHO), so I'll trust they made the right call here.

Definitely looking forward to seeing the new update. I'll have to make sure to free up some time on my schedule.

I totally agree I have two playthroughs one where things are relatively light and friend and another where I’m trying to be the most deprived person on the planet. Hana taking a more physical role in the club would be the cherry on top of the second playthough, but even if it doesn’t happened I’m sure I’ll be more than happy with whatever happens in my “dark” playthrough.

Her corruption does not need to lead towards submission. Hana could become a slut and still be her independent strong self. Being a loose cannon in bed and a hobby prostitute "helping out" in PC does not have to hinder her becoming heir of August.

Corruption in many eroges seem to be falsely seen as always leading towards submission and stuff. But that is wrong. For a strong personality as Hana is, corruption can also "just" mean her becoming experimental and adventurous on the carnal side of Life, while still holding the reigns herself.
So while on the truly dark paths there might be submission in play, on the noir paths there can be a fully corrupted Hana still fully in command of her life.
On lighter and truly light paths, there can also be some or strong corruption, if the MC likes an "adventurous" Hana. I wrote about such scenarios in an earlier post of mine a couple weeks ago.

To be clear, I'd hate to see Hana drugged or whatever and end up working the club in those circumstances. All the girls in the club have sex willingly either for the money or the competition. I know the carnations are doing it under certain duress or have been tricked. But they are free to leave at any time and I suspect deep down they actually enjoy it.

That all said, Hana has witnessed the debauchery and shown no interest in participating so it's unlikely to happen.

I think that would depend on which path we are on. In the truly dark ones, yes, I could see Kath still in command of PC. But on the paths we side with Hana and August, no matter how light or dark, Kath and Warren will be kicked out of the Club.

As for Hana taking a more "active" role in Club activities and her place as August´s heir, I would say again, this would probably hinge on the path. On the light or lighter paths, with a not or only slight to medium corrupted Hana, yes, this could become a issue. But I think as long as she goes into it willingly, without being pushed/blackmailed by Kath/Warren, August would allow it.

But these are just speculations, here is a reprint of my speculations about the Hana paths
For Hana´s story I estimate 4 major branches with variants depending on how strongly (or not) corrupted she is at the end.

- One is the pure Love route with the possible mending of fences between Hana and August in addition. No to just slight/medium corruption of Hana (if MC and Hana want to test out a couple things, if they like it).

- Next is a Love route with MC and Hana being groomed to be the successors of August and Chuck at PC. There are hints of this if you play the Hana route and talk to August and Chuck often. And it becomes clear that August wants to repair the damage in his relationship with his daughter, he just does not really know how, cue us MCs.
Corruption could range from zero (Hana is shown to be pragmatic and thinking clearly on most things) over some/medium corruption (encouraged curiosity despite not convinced at start) to full corruption, if the MC likes his SO to be a loose cannon in bed, e.g. testing porn acting (too much hints of it not only for Hana but others as well), girl-girl, sharing/swinging or a couple shifts in PC to see how it is. (while the majority does not, there are, most often hobby, prostitutes who like doing it)

- Another path would be the Dark Love one, Hana and the MC are a couple, but the MC likes Hana to be as uninhibited and slutty as she can be. This path naturally would feature major corruption efforts, like the ones above and additional ones like e.g. Hana "testdriving" August.

- The final path would be two-pronged depending on corruption level. In this storyline MC and Hana would be friends (maybe with benefits) and if Hana stays uncorrupted or just a bit, then MC helps her getting free of PC, in the case of a strongly corrupted Hana she is in PC for longer.

This is absolutely true. Corruption can lead to different outcomes, including the corrupted becoming submissive, dominant, or in between. A dark path could even have a corrupted Hana taking pleasure in the club's activities from a controlling perspective rather than as one of the Carnations. Not suggesting this should happen or that it's even what I would want, but it's a plausible outcome for a darkly corrupted person.
