Just a quick question; I've been working off of the PDF walkthrough. Is that preferable to the mod, or not? I've been resisting using walkthrough mods because I'm concerned they might sometimes clash with the game itself.

Keep in mind though, if you do decide to update to the newest version, you will probably get some moaning from some people.
The newest version does not like 15 year old potato pcs.
If you don't actually NEED any of the new features you might actually want to hold off, or at least read up on the caveats before pulling the trigger.
Personally, I can work around the bug in the old version, so it's not a deal breaker and I haven't really heard anyone else complaining. (Guess nobody else plays directly off a NAS)

The gallery hands out errors on two of the new veronica scenes for me. Overall nice update even if i'd like to have more of Hana.

I don't know if that was deliberate or not, but I previously spent many years playing around with those things as a hobby, so it's nice to see that sort of attention to detail.
Saying that, it could also have just been a stock piece in the scene creation tablet, and might've been the only one available, so I could be blowing smoke up somebody's butt...

The mod is no longer being worked on by Oscar. Last update someone else updated it, but I have no contact with him about that. The PDF walkthrough is your most reliable bet.

Are you not on the Hana, Rosalind, AND Veronica route? Even then, the update should last you longer than five minutes since the park and gym photo shoots are mandatory.
Are you using an out to date mod that didn't remove the click-to-continue screen at the end of the Week2 script?

I played the new update, since I have a rather full week next week, otherwise I would have waited for the public release.
Absolutely great update, it simply is a must play game!
As I and many others wrote before, the artwork is just super, getting out everything HS/AiS is capable of. You see what is possible with Studio Neo, if you know what you do. And Gil obviously knows it! Top work!
And the writing is top notch as well, even I as a non-native English speaker can see that. Very good characters with variations and some surprises, as I mentioned before. Following different paths really feels different and there are hints to some events built in.
Quite a number of shout-outs in the game too. In the current update, Rosalind, Veronika and Hana are in the focus. The formers, while not in my sights, definitely grow on you, if you choose "right" in their arcs.
Hana (If you chose her path) is simply great! Some of her arc
was in discussion by several users here, like e.g. sunaboz and little old me, so this is not such a big surprise for us, but it might be for those who were not on the Hana path.

I think you do not need to haste to update Ren´py to the newer version. While my Computer can stomach the new version, many older "compis" have problems with the new Ren´py and from what I have read in several threads, this new version seems to have quite some bugs. So as long as you do not need some features from this new Ren´py version, staying with the old one is no problem.
Wish you well and that Pale Carnations gets known a lot more in the future! I will definitely continue to spread word (as surely will others)! You and Gil deliver top notch work and a really great eroge, thumbs up!

Chummer, the update has about 1,700 renders and nearly 100 animations, it is not just five minutes of play as some other games here on F95! Hope this helps.

Thank you! At first, thought it was the wrong link, since it was from May last year, then I saw the edit point.
My Ch3Up1 Saves Break when I try to Load them on Ch3Up2, when I Click Ignore it resets the Game to the beginning.
A few more possible errors:
